Oh hey my beauties, it's miss unique beauty and i'm building and i'm back with another video. What'S poppin welcome back to my channel the items that you're going to need today is a 4x4 mesh cap, a needle and thread a few of them, some t-pins to hold that cap onto your mannequin head a pair of scissors and the hair of your choice. Now the hair that i'm using today is from a website called fingercomber.com, and this is their ombre kinky curly bundles. Now i did go ahead and purchase two bundles of this hair because i wasn't sure if i was only going to need one, but this hair is so beautiful and i love the color. The first thing that i'm going to do is i'm going to place this cap on my mannequin head and i'm going to use t pens to secure it as tight. As as i can now, you want to make sure that you're stretching this cap along this mannequin head because as you're sewing, you do not want it to move, so i did go ahead and add two more t-pins on the side. So i have a total of six t-pins holding this cap down. The first thing i like to do is push my needle through the cap first and then push it through the left of the hair. Once i've done that, then i'm going to stick the needle in between the ends of the thread and pull until it's really tight and secure. Now, i'm just going to continue to sew underneath the weft. I do not sew through my wefts as i'm sewing each row. I sew underneath the weft and then once i reach the end of this weft, i will sew into the actual weft of the hair. As you guys can see, i will sew into the weft and tie a knot just to make sure that the end of that track is secure. Now. One thing i do want to mention is that i do not cut my tracks so once i reach the end of each row, all i'm going to do is flip the track back over secure the ends. You want to make sure you secure the ends first, and what i mean by securing it is you want to sew into the weft at the ends of each track, to secure it and tie a knot and then flip your track now. The reason why i do not like sewing throughout the weft, as i'm sewing, the entire row on, is one because it definitely slows down your process, a hundred percent and two when you're, so when you're constantly sewing through the weft you're, loosening up the hairs on the Track and when you're loosening up the hairs on the track, you are more more prone to have shedding so do not sew through the tracks during each row. You want to sew under the track and once you get to the ends of each row, you want to sew through the weft just to make sure that that track is not going anywhere. You want to make sure that it's nice and secure on that cap. Now, i'm just going to continue with sewing back and forth on this cap. That'S pretty much it with the drawstring ponytail! Now, depending on how full you want your drawstring ponytail to be, you can sew your tracks as close together as you want now this ponytail. I am making for someone, so they wanted their ponytail to be extremely full. So that's why i kept sewing the tracks really close to each other, because they like that big, full afro, look when it comes to their ponytails and that's fine. I actually love that look as well.
