Hi glam dolls and welcome back to my channel in today's video. I wanted to show you guys how to get a sleek ponytail on natural hair and I wanted to flare it up a little bit by using purple ombre hair. So if you guys would like to see how I got this beautiful, colorful ponytail, then please keep watching and make sure you follow me on all my social media. The links are down in the description box below so this is my natural hair and I started out with it blow dry, and now I am Flatiron. I am flat ironing it. One thing I wanted to say is once I added the gel, which you will see. It was no purpose and me actually flat ironing my hair so next time I'll either not flat iron, my hair or, if I do Flatiron it, I will use the got to be glued instead of the Eco styling gel, because once I added the Eco styling gel, Which you'll see my hair literally just curled right back up so yeah? That kind of was a waste of time, but you'll see it in this clip here when I'm putting it on and my hair just immediately just started curling up so yeah, I kind of Nix that after I started to see where that was going wrong. So I didn't use as much of it as I could have, but now I'm just going to start shaping my hair up into a ponytail and by the way guys this is my first time flat, ironing my hair since i balded it back in 2015, so yeah. I haven't been putting heat or blow-drying my hair and stuff like that, so this was my first time doing that and I'm just using a comb till I get my hair. You know straight as possible, get out any kinks and knots, and now I'm going in with my brush and I'm doing the same thing and I'm just getting that ponytail right on top of my head and um. You know this was just a very simple style and I don't know why it took me so long to even do this, because my here has been long for a minute now, but I've just been braiding it and putting a wig on it, because I had a Lot of postpartum fallout in my edges after I had my son, and I just was too embarrassed to do anything with my hair, but I'm starting to fill back in. So I was like you know why. I feel like doing something different with my hair and the best thing that I could think of was a ponytail. So now I'm adding the got to be glued, which I felt like was pretty much. What made it kind of sleek and nice and flat, and all that so next time, I'm gon na, try it without the Eco styling gel and just use the guide to be glued and see how that comes out. It definitely helped my edges down and kept everything flat. Of course, you know when you are working with natural hair. You have to work a little harder to get your edges to sit down so yeah, and then I am just smoothing everything up, smoothing it smoothing it smoothing it. I used my comb first and then I went in with my brush and I'm just trying to get it as flat as possible, and you can see my little waves pop in no matter how hard I tried to get my hair straight. My waves was still kicking in and I'm smoothing it now with the brush smooth, smooth smooth and you can kind of see where my hair fell out in the edges. So yeah it was rough. It was a lot worse than it is, but I got a little hang time, you're asking my hang time, I'm doing something. Okay. Now this is the part that really really. This is the part that really really helped keep everything down was using. It got to be glued free spray that really really helped, and I kept my hair in a ponytail for about a week using the fries great, and I will say that I didn't have to do a lot of reapplying, gel and stuff like that. I would just use the free spray and then brush my hair and then wrap it and leave it wrapped for like 15 minutes and that really helped keep all the hair in place without having to keep reapplying gel, keep reapplying. You know wetting my hair and stuff like that. So that's just a note for you, ladies. If you're contemplating doing this hairstyle and now I'm just laying down my edges, giving myself just a little bit, not not too much, and then I'm gon na use my scarf and I'm gon na tie my hair down and I'm just tying it as tight. As I can stand it to be tied and then I'm going to go in and make the ponytail now, while my hair is setting - and I found this ombre hair at my local beauty - supply store and it looks like it says: Africana, it's two in a pack: It'S pre stretched pretty nice texture to it. I still have the ponytail actually after wearing it, for like more than seven days, the ponytail is in pretty good shape. I might just add a little moisture rising spray to it, so you know make it easy to comb and deal with, and so I still have a ponytail. So this hair is pretty good quality, hair and that's the spray. I was referring to the ocean spray and I just spray it to make it easy to work with and calm. And then I just attached it to my head, used to really large bobby pins to hold it in place and tied a little piece around the ponytail to hide it, and that was it you guys. So if you're gon na try this hairstyle, let me know if you tried something similar, let me know down below and if you like this style. Let me know that too, and I will see you guys in the next video smooches
