Sleek Braided Ponytail With Added Hair | Easy Feed-In Method Natural Hair Care

In this video, I show you all exactly how I did this sleek braided ponytail with hair added. It was super fast, simple and easy! It turned out looking so natural and I got tons of compliments! This jumbo braid ponytail is one of my new favorite go-to styles!

I used old braiding hair I had laying around, but I recommend the 3X Ruwa Expressions Pre-stretched braiding hair. My color is 1B/30 (ombré)

Thank you God for always taking my dreams past my expectations!

What'S up you guys welcome or welcome back to my channel, it's bethany, and today i'm going to be showing you guys. This super simple, braided ponytail! It'S super easy! It'S secure, she's, not flying off and it's very natural. I like the natural, like hair, tie, showing look. I feel like it just makes it look like more natural and effortless, not like the wrap around ponytail braid. Looking too, like i like that, look too, but sometimes when i'm like more chill more casual, i just want to look like a braided ponytail period. That'S it! So that's what i did if you guys want to see the steps that i took and the technique i used to get this braided ponytail here then just keep watching it's coming up right now, i'm gon na start off actually by blow drying. My hair, i was originally not gon na blow dry it, but i do think that um the ends are gon na just blend better with the braiding hair. If i kind of stretch it out, the texture will kind of match better okay. So i just kind of blow-dried the ends just roughly um, so i'm going to take off some of the not your mother's curl talk sculpting gel, i'm going to be honest! You guys i'm just well! I'M just going to lay this here just to start just as a base, just as a base did i even bring a comb like y'all just have to bear with me. I'M filming this on my phone because my camera battery was dead and i didn't have the extra batteries on the charger. I'M going to section off this and this just for now. So i have a nice little bun on my forehead, because i want to pull back this part. This is the thickest densest part of my hair. I want to get it super smooth, i'm going to a wedding today, and this is really the only option for my hair because a wash and go we're going to a birthday party today and then we're going to a wedding and the wash and go it wouldn't Have been a wash and go, you know how it is, it's a wash and let it dry for a million hours and then go and i'm going to split this section in half and i'm going to apply some here and then apply some to this entire section. Basically, what i'm doing like you could you could do the same method all over your whole head and if i was gon na put my hair in a low ponytail. I would definitely do that, but pulling all this hair up here was not really a big problem. Um and as you see, these parts are not even like that does not look good at all, but we're just going to cover all that up. So it's not going to matter these these curl top products i put a little bit of the cream, the defining cream. I know this is for curls, but i was just look. I couldn't find my wet line extreme gel it's somewhere, so these smell so good. I can't wait to try these on a wash and go. Those edges are really curly today, okay same with this side, let's just make sure that i want to. I still want my hair to go back. I think i just want the part to be like you know there all right. Okay, so i have the braiding hair. I'Ve used it for a braid before so that's why it's already kind of like fluffy and crimped, but i'm just brushing through it. This is how it looks i'm going to separate it into smaller pieces and kind of like lay them over here. In my little workstation and i'm going to feed them in, like a feed-in braid like a almost like how a knotless, um braid would be done, probably going to be pretty long. So this is like the size of the section that i'm doing, and i am laying these out - i'm going to take some of the um some more of the gel, because i really want my hair to be pretty smooth. I don't want it to be um, like you know too crazy. I want it to stay. I don't want the hairs to start sticking up like over the course of the day. This isn't my usual setup and it feels ghetto. I'M sorry. Okay, all right! I'M just gon na brush it through again, i'm just gon na keep the gel nearby, i'm actually gon na squeeze some onto my leg just so i have it to grab from. If i need to add so all right, i'm going to split this into three sections. As if i was just going to braid it, the braid is going to start off with just my hair, because it's thick enough up here for me to do that. So i'm just going to begin because braiding my hair and i feel like here's a good spot to just like start adding. So i'm going to lift up my pointer finger and i'm going to add in oh. No, so then, i'm going to grab the piece on top and i'm going to keep braiding again, pull tight and braid. And i'm going to add another piece right here and i'm going to braid. I feel like i need some extra gel on these pieces and then i'm going to add another piece right here. So if you see my fingers, see this, i'm going to take this hair and i'm going to stick it between these two fingers right here and so see. This is two strands, so the the top strand is going to connect with this hair and the bottom strand connecting with this hair, and then you just grab it and you keep for braiding and i'm feeling my braid trying to make sure it looks. You know pretty good and then i'm just going to keep doing that. I'M going to add this one. Next, okay, this braid may not be as thick as i want it to be, but we can always fluff it out later. This is how much hair i have. I don't have any more braids in here, so, as you guys can see, we formed the braid now this is where i'm going to detangle all of this hair down here, while i'm still holding this firmly okay. Since this hair has already been used, it is not at its best all right. So once i got down like a pretty fair ways, i will turn around this way. How does this look? Oh, that's, decent! Okay! So even these hairs that are kind of sticking out. We can fix i'm gon na fix this right now, because she has no business sticking out like that. This one, i can just you know, put some whole spray or something so i'm gon na take it back a couple of notches and just hope. The braiding hair cooperates not be doing this on the first try: okay, let's not speak too soon. Right apply a lot of the gel here and what i'm going to do is i'm going to tuck it into the braiding hair so that the ends are not sticking out as much. I'M gon na end up doing the same thing to this side. We'Re just gon na try to tuck our natural hair into the synthetic hair and that's how we're gon na proceed like this one's already see. We don't want her just sticking out all day we're not trying to get clocked. It'S already quite evident. This is not our real hair, but we don't want to get clocked okay, so i'm gon na actually take a little bit of hair from this section, because i didn't have odd number of sections i should have had six and i had five um, probably because i Brushed out a whole amount, i'm just gon na kind of i'm finessing by just moving hair to different sections, trying to even them out that's what i'm doing. Look closely see what's going on, so i'm just going to keep braiding i'm going to actually start kind of pulling it apart a little bit just a little bit where i see that it, it needs a little bit extra vavavoom little judge, because once my braid gets Too tight, it might be a little hard to do so now, i'm going to look at the shape of my braid, i'm going to say: okay, pull it a little here, pull it a little there just trying to get it to look a little more uniform. I'M just gon na keep braiding down, and here i'm just braiding more loosely like not as tight, because i want the braid to kind of not go from like super fat to like super skinny. I want it to kind of like gradually go you guys. This is looking cute. This is looking cute. I probably could have put it like a little bit higher, but i'm okay with this height, so i'm getting towards the end. I'M just gon na keep braiding and i'm gon na i'm gon na dip it in um boiling water. I feel like because the braid got so skinny down here. I don't know. Part of me is thinking. Oh i'm just gon na unbraid this. This is gon na be cute okay. This is what we're gon na. Do we're gon na unbraid this and i'm gon na put a rubber band right here and i'm going to um before i set this and dip it. I'M going to put it right here and then i'm going to do like a like a rod like a like a flexi rod to give it like a wand curl at the end, that's going to be so cute. Let me show you how it looks. I think this turned out actually excellently well for what it's worth. So let me especially for me not having to redo this, like what i can tuck this in. I could put some gel some hairspray and tuck that piece in, but overall like this, is a this. Is a good braid. This is a good braid, it's not too lumpy. It'S pretty uniform. Let me get a rubber band for this and then we're going to do our edges and we're going to finish this look. So you guys this is how the braid looks so far. You have a couple pieces to tuck in and kind of straighten out, but overall that looks really good. Let me get my edge brush. Why am i so unprepared? Oh my gosh, so this is not even the edge brush that i really like, but i'm going to go ahead and try it. I was going to use the edge fixer by kiss. This is the sweetie um sweetie one, but i want to try this sculpting gel on my edges, because i think it would work quite well actually. So, let's just see especially with this brush, because this brush is not edges - are what give this style life. This edge brush is horrible. It'S like these bristles are too flat, like i like. The double ended edge brush because it really just gets in there, but these edges are so flat it just kind of like brushes the top of my hair. It doesn't really get in there. The cool thing about this is that i could just add another hair tie to this, and it just really wouldn't matter i don't know i might. I have one right here: it's just gon na be like a lot of hair type in my hair, but yeah that feels better. Oh guys, that's so cute, okay, so it is starting to get a little bit extra flyaways. I'M gon na take a little bit of the actually. No i'm scared. If i put that edge control on the top of my head, it's gon na it's it's gon na turn white at some point, and i don't want that. So i'm just gon na take more gel more and more more. I'M really bold, using this gel i've never used before like this imagine if it was just like so flaky, you guessed it more gel, so i'm going to take some. You know. I realized lately that there's some people that don't like to use gel anymore, like they don't want to use gel in their hair if you're one of those people that doesn't want to use gel anymore for a certain reason. Why is that like? Why don't you want to use gel in your hair anymore? What'S the um main reasoning behind it? I don't discriminate. I don't hair, shame anybody for doing what they do. I'M just curious um because i love me some gel that hold that style in place: honey um. I love this style. I think it's really sleek. I like the height of this one. I'Ve never done it at this height i've, i've done it low low low low, but i haven't done it like at this height and i just think it looks really cute. I'M excited to wear it tomorrow. When i go out and yeah you guys it it just it doesn't take long at all. I think that's what i love the most about it. I can just slick my hair back and go so i hope you guys learned something. Let me know if you're going to try this style. Let me know in the comments i feel like. I always need to keep a pack of pre-stretch braiding hair on hand just in case. I need to throw a braid in but yeah. Thank you so much for watching this video. If you made it this far, give me a thumbs up. You made it this far.
