No Glue Ponytail Tutorial | Niara Alexis

hey hey!

Ever since I tried the clip in ponytail I've been obsessed with the style and new ways to wear it. I wanted to try a bigger ponytail this time using tracks but I knew I was not going to try to use any hair glue for the install. Instead I opted for weaving needle & thread to quickly install this ponytail. In total it took about an hour to do the style start to finish. This is a cute style if you need something last minute for the holidays or just a style in general for an occasion.

My hair looks crazy, i mean it looks kind of crazy kind of like i tried to do something which is factual. I did try to do something and it didn't work out how i wanted so i'm gon na do a quick, little hairstyle, it's another ponytail hairstyle, which i don't know why, but i'm like really into ponytails like if you can slick your hair back and braid you're Good, i know some of y'all struggle in the braid department. You know i don't know what to do all right y'all. So i feel like this is a super, simple hairstyle for you to do for holidays. I know some of y'all's beauticians is booked up. So all you really need to know how to do like, i said, is braid and slick your hair back, so you could like alter this hairstyle to fit whatever you want to do. So if you want to do one jumbo braid down the middle, if you want to do two braids, a lot of braids, i'm just gon na do three and kind of part them in like a triangular formation. You know um. This is just some olive oil hair lotion. I don't really have any um edge, control or well. I do have edge control but gel to kind of keep. My hair super slick - and i also didn't want to put anything like that in my hair because i didn't want it to get flaky and i didn't want it to be hard. I wanted this hairstyle to still be soft, so i am just cornrowing my hair back. It'S not perfect um, but you know just do what you can girl. This is just like a quick little something to get you by okay um. So now my shoulders are hurting, because this is the second hairstyle i've tried already and if you know you know your shoulders get strong when you hold your hand up brain like that, so i am just going to be smoothing back my hair. I already have a bit of product in there, but i'm just going in with a little bit more of this uh wax stick from cantu, which i really like, because it's it's sticky enough to hold your hair back, but it doesn't leave like a sticky residue and Then i'm using this paul mitchell, um hairspray i'll link, all the products below and i'm just smoothing that back with a little edge brush, but all the products will be linked below. Look. I just want to say y'all, my elbows are so ash. I didn't look. I took a shower right before this and i was like let's just sit down and record okay, so the tracks i got these off of amazon. I cannot vouch for this vendor, but when i put heat to it, my hair was just fine, so i pulled my hair back into a ponytail and i braided it down, and now i am taking part of these hair. So i separate the tracks into sections and i'm wrapping it around my braided ponytail and just bobby pinning it on there. That'S just because i don't want my ponytail, like my real hair peeking through, so just wrapping that, with a little bit of the tracks like, i feel like helps kind of conceal it and hide it a bit better. It also just adds like length, i feel like to your ponytail, so everything's, not like all one length, if that makes sense. So now i'm using the rest of the tracks. I'M actually sewing this down, so i'm using just a weave needle and thread, and i'm literally just taking this wrapping it around once and securing it in place with a little bit of the thread um, nothing too crazy, i'm not stitching it in like super heavy. I guess you could say, because this is just like a last minute. You know this, isn't something that i was wanting to last a super long time. If you do want it to last a little while, obviously secure the bag or the ponytail, should i say secure it, but for me i just wanted something i was gon na, be on there and stay on there for a couple hours. So this is it. It came out cute, you could definitely leave the ponytail like this. If you wanted to for like a more undone look here, i am just laying down my baby hairs, um with a little bit of edge control and my edge brush. Obviously this part is optional. Do all the baby hairs you want to sis, it's not mandatory, so i wanted my ponytail to be a little bit more styled, so i'm just taking my flat iron to it and just um running it through it, giving it a little bit of a curl. A little bit of a something something but not like a full like curl, if that makes sense, so i'm just going to run through and do that to the entire ponytail. I am going to end up brushing this out because i don't want it to look like candy cane. You know shirley temple curls, i'm also gon na tease this ponytail a fair amount. Like it's gon na be teased. I really was trying to give like a big unruly but styled but curly ponytail, but i think this came out cute, so i obviously forgot to record an outro, but this is a final look. It came out cute. I actually kept this in for a day or two, so that was the one for me, so all the products will be linked below. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and i will see you next time.

Trish Shirrelle: Definitely trying this style thanks for the tutorial

Princess: How do you make your har so silky & pretty, I find the blow dry cut my hair & makes it look short & damaged after shower? Do you go through same?
