See you guys soon, stay cute ♡

Oh, i know i know i know hey guys, welcome back to my channel. My name is akuya for those of you who are new and for those of you who aren't welcome back to my channel. So today's video is going to be a quick little hair tutorial on how i got these two afro curly um puffs on my head. I'M just gon na be showing you guys a quick little hairstyle that you guys can do with your natural hair whenever you're tired of wearing wigs, i love wigs. I love wearing wigs. I love the different styles of wigs, but personally sometimes i can get a bit overwhelmed and a bit irritated with wearing wigs all the time. So i like to embrace my natural hair per se and do natural hair hairstyles to switch it up a little bit. I just recently did the big chop for the third time in my life, i chopped off all my hair back in may or june of this year, so my hair is a bit shorter and with my hair being shorter, it's kind of hard for me to do The styles that i want to do i've been trying to like find alternatives to you know embrace my natural hair, but in a way that's cute and in a way that i can feel confident. So, if you're interested in watching how i achieve this look, keep on watching, okay, starting off um, i have a t-shirt on my head because i literally rinsed my hair. I didn't wash it so if it looks dirty it's because it is, i rinsed my hair. So i can do this tutorial for you guys. So that's why i had a t-shirt on my head because i was trying it if you don't know by now make sure to use a t-shirt to dry your hair and not a towel, because the towel strips your hair. So now you guys can see me parting. My hair down the middle funny as it is my hair is always parted down the middle. I don't know if it's because i always do cornrows like this, but like my hair, literally just splits down the middle automatically, so i don't ever have a problem with parting. I'M gon na be using this pro style, gel um, it's in the black tube, it's in every beauty supply. This gel is honestly the best. If you want your hair to hold, you just put the gel in your hair, use a brush to brush it down and use a scarf. On top of that, and i promise you, your hair will stick like glue, at least my hair does. So. Basically, you guys are going to be seeing me, apply, gel and just brush my hair and put it into two mini pigtails, as you guys can see how short my hair is right now it was so hard to grip this. I don't know if i said this in the introduction, but this hairstyle is very easy like so easy to do so i really encourage you guys to try it. I think it's cute. I know some people don't like wearing their natural hair because it may seem childish and i'm not going to hold you. This hairstyle makes me seem like a 12 year old, but you know sometimes it's okay, you know bring out that young aura. The back of my hair is shorter than everywhere else um. I believe it's called the kitchen area um. When i used to get perms, i got burned really bad back there. Ever since i went natural and yes, it has been three times that part will always grow slower than the rest of my head. I honestly think it's a long-term effect from getting burned by my perm, so yeah. I just use bobby pins to keep it in place with me so now on to installing the afro puffs, i'm going to be using this silky mousse um. This mousse is good for human hair and synthetic hair. I just found it in my bathroom, so i was like why not it made the hair a little more. I guess presentable and shiny. So all i'm doing is clipping the clips to my head and using the drawstring to make it tight and secure. When i do the next afro puff, you guys will be able to see clearly the two clips and how i clipped it to my head. But as you guys can see, i'm just using the drawstring to wrap it around the afro puff and my hair. It just makes it tighter and more secure, so it will stay in place and not fall off your head because we don't want that. But this hairstyle is super easy to do. It'S super easy to achieve and it's super low maintenance. You can sleep in it the first time i did it. I slept in it so yeah. I really encourage you guys to try to achieve this. Look i'm gon na. Let you guys watch how i do the other afro puff and if you don't mind, i'm gon na rant about my natural hair, real quick, because i don't know i just feel like talking so. As i said before, this is my third time going natural. I first went natural my junior year of high school, the first time i went natural. I was so unaware of what i was getting myself into. I didn't know anything about texture porosity. I didn't know anything so when i went natural for the first time. I didn't really take care of my hair. That'S when i was first introduced to wigs, so i used to wear wigs a lot. All i would do was wash and cornrow my hair and put a wig back on out of the blue one day i decided to get some scissors and chop my hair off. I remember this day so clearly i like, i was feeling down and i guess i thought what would make me feel better is to chop my hair off. So that's what i did so when i did that that was my second time going natural. My second time going natural, i was natural for a bit longer um. It was the same thing as the first. I didn't really take care of my hair like that, but i would wear it from time to time and i'm going to insert pictures. So you guys can see like my journey or whatever so the second time i went actual. I remember one day over the summer i was like hmm. I want to see how my hair looks like straight, so i literally researched the first dominican hair salon that i could find and i went to go, get a dominican blowout and after that i got heat damage. So after getting heat damage, my hair was very unmanageable. Um, it would always tangle it will always knock together. Having my hair in that state did not make me want to wear it out, but by that time i was in college and i was wearing wigs like all the time. If i wasn't wearing wigs, i would do like a protective style like braids or passion twists, but for the most part i was wearing wigs. It wasn't until recently, like a year ago, where i decided to texturize my already heat damaged hair. Was this a smart idea? No, but i was going through a quarter life crisis and i was like what the heck so after that my hair became very stringy, and i had so many textures in my hair. I didn't even know what to do with it. Like always, i decided to ignore the problem and not deal with what was going on on my head and just resorted to going back to cornrowing and wearing wigs. It wasn't until recently back in may, where i decided you know enough is enough. I really need to dedicate my energy into taking proper care of my hair and in order to do that, i just had to start over again, so i got scissors and i chopped my hair off again and honestly. I did not feel any type of weight towards it, because i knew that this was the third and final time that i will be going natural and things were going to change. So now, i'm on a new and improved natural hair care journey. But i'm just glad i got the courage to start over again. My hair is so much more manageable right now i can wash it and detangle it. I don't know if it's because it's short right now, but it's just so much easier to work through in the past. It would take me hours to wash my hair and i would just cry and not want to deal with it but yeah. I just wanted to share my natural hair story with you all. Let me know if you guys have gone through anything similar feel free to leave me some tips and advice on how to you know, maintain and take care of my hair, and we can continue on with this tutorial. Okay, you guys. This is the final look um. I hope you guys enjoyed my tutorial. I hope it was easy to follow along honestly. This is a very low maintenance hairstyle and i really urge you guys to give it a try, but let me know what you guys. Think of the hair. Let me know if you guys decide to try it and send me pictures on instagram. That'S it for this video. So, as always, don't forget to like comment and subscribe and i'll see you guys in the next one bye hi it's giving minnie mouse one
