I Did The 90S / Barbie Flipped Ponytail On My Thick Texture Released Hair

Is it white? Is that me it's white uh? What do i do about that? I fixed it. Why am i so smart? I don't know it's new year's eve, like literally 31st of december. I decided i just want to stay at home by myself chill and just like not do anything, and then i started seeing my friends planning on going out and i was like wait hold on what am i doing. I think i actually want to come out now and the event they're going to is like this black tie thing, and i don't just have black tie stuff hanging in my wardrobe. So last night i ordered a bunch of stuff from asos. Why did i just lie? Not a bunch of stuff, i ordered one thing from a sauce because that's all they had. If that doesn't look good, then this whole plan fails anyway. I can't go out tonight, but regardless of that, i need to stop my hair. The funniest part of this story is the hairstyle i chose to do because i've decided. I want to do a slick ponytail. I love when i say this because i've attempted this so many times and every single time it's been a failure. Okay, well that didn't work. This is just not working, i'm really really really upset, you know what i'm over it. So why i'm deciding to try and do it today and they actually have something to be. I don't know, but i'm feeling confident i've watched so many more videos and i've gone out and bought all new stuff. First, things first is the gel, which is the edge booster. I also bought the hair that i'm going to put on it because i want to have like a nice. Like short, blunt ponytail, i think that looks so cute. I bought these wrap strips. I see a lot of people using these too. Let'S just get straight into it actually before i do that, i want to address something because i know quite a few girls. Obviously i got the text release done and a few girls. I love it that you're concerned for me and i think it's really kind and sweet, so i've got a few messages from some girls saying like how you've ruined your cup, and i preferred it before and all of that and now that i'm wearing my hair, like This, hopefully you guys can see. I have not, because also some people are thinking that my hair is now type three like that's just wild. It'S not. This is what i mean about the text release. It doesn't change your curls shape or size at all like if your hair is falsy, it's going to stay looking 4c or 4b. The only thing that changes is your hair elongates. It drops and also becomes more defined so now like. Even if my hair looks like this and this afro, if i pull it out, you will see all the curls are still very present, whereas before my hair wouldn't even be this big right now, it would literally be like struggling up to about there and you will Not see a single curl right there, there, like non-existent. So basically, whatever your hair looks like before the texture lays when it's wet it's gon na look closer to that. Basically, once you get the texture released, because now i have more curls on my hair and if i wanted to like put gel like you guys saw me, do my first video and you know really like try and get those curls to stay. I had more chance of doing that with the texture release, whereas before i got sexually stunned, that was my thing. So that's why, in my first video you saw, i had the wrinkles, you know i was able to define those curls. It'S not that my hair texture has changed. It stayed the same. It'S just that my cars, my girls, are now more defined, but now more pressing matters, because i have things to do one day, i'm going to get more organized. I think that's gon na be my thing for next year. My resolution, but right now i'm gon na start on the hair. So first things first is: i see the girls they like to start with straightened hair, i'm laughing at the fact that they call them the girls like who are the dogs um they like to start off with straightened, hair or blow dried like it doesn't actually have To be dead straight from what i've seen and i don't want to dead straight my hair anyway, because, as you guys may have seen in my last video, i've got heat damage in the front. So i'm trying to stay away from the straighteners for a little bit. So i'm only going to blow dry it i'm going to straighten this, and i was thinking to like wash my hair and then blow dry it. But then the more you shampoo, your hair, but the texture release the more it wears off. So i'm not going to wash it i'm just going to wet it and blow dry it, and then we can start the whole process and yeah. Hopefully this should be like a nice fun. Video for you guys, i'm stressed out or hopefully it'll be fun for you. My hair is now wet. I just put it under the shower, like i wasn't bothered to get in or anything okay, it's not soaking wet. So if it was shaking like the curls will come out a lot more, but you can still see it's very curly. Now. That'S all the sets really start. My hair type is the same. I'M still type 4, i'm not type 3., i'm just the same girl really same hair. It'S just that. It'S more defined and elongated. That'S all okay! So i'm just gon na start off with putting some like heat, protects all over my hair, my hair's gon na, be so tangled because i've basically been wearing the hair for like a whole week and i've not been combing or anything. I'Ve been allowing it to. Basically, just mat. This is why i'm saying i love that text release because even the facts, i've done that i can feel the knots right. But if i try to do that with my hair before text release i'll be finished right now so yeah, i'm so happy with that. So the heat protector i'm using this is called it's a 10 and hopefully this should also help with detangling and then we've got my cheese thermal thing. It'S called a keratin mist. I just you guys care about this. I'M sure you just care about the ponytail, so i'm going to do all of this off camera. It'S been a minute since i've blow dried, my hair and the room is being steamy and that's basically because i didn't wash my hair when i first washed my hair, like last week over a week ago, i obviously put moisturizer and stuff in my hair and obviously That'S still in my hair, so when you're blow drying and heat over that yeah, all that steam comes out and also i don't think it's very good for your hair. So i think in future i will just wash my hair before i blow dry. It is what it is. It'S done now the girls i've been watching. They used hair bands like this to basically put their hair in a ponytail as slick as you can from the stain, and you basically need to do it as tight as you would just do it tightly. Basically, it's already bumpy, so maybe this is why it may be better to do it with straightened hair because it does lay very flat with your hair straightened. Oh well! This is what we have to work with, because i'm not straightening my hair right now. I think i want it a bit higher because i want you to be able to see the ponytail when i'm looking at you straight on. I think sorry, all right, okay, so next we need to plat this um i'm going to do two plaits, then maybe i should try and twist it and that's it. Let me just let's stand up so it's out of the way funny. What i saw being done was then that's what i'm worried for, because my hair's actually look. It'S actually not slick, so this may be an issue, but let's see so, i've got the gel and i'm just going to put a lot. But i think if i put loads then hopefully i can just solve all my issues. Okay, then they get home and comb it like properly comb it until everything's kind of flat. I'M gon na keep going nice more loads. More gel. Just i'm scared! I don't want to see any sign of reversing it's flat enough and all the hair that wasn't flat is now in this bit here. So then what they do next is they get another heaven, and basically all that hair that you've brushed up. That'S not good! For me, i'm gon na take my now wish me luck. Wish me luck. Okay, it's still not flat. I'Ve actually probably made it worse. I'M going to take my second headband now and try and get what i missed out. That'S decent but there's definitely still a bulge in the back. I think i'm more concerned about the front, because if the front looks flat the ponytail is going to cover the back anyway. Oh no, i hate that i'm going to put another hairband to try and get with that different doing. Your hair is really your workout. That looks so good. That'S a lot better than i've ever done. Next, we need to do edges. Another thing i struggle with, but i told you i was in a good mood. I knew i felt like i'm, not jinx it. I'M not drinking. Do you know really i'm just going to put some like on my edges and get my brush. I don't want to do anything crazy and just try and get out what i can. I can't really get anything out. I need to do this away from the camera, i'm so sorry, all right, i did what i could do. I mean it's not fault, because that's a good thing. That means the gel is really good, but once i slip that stuff out it was not it's not coming better. So even the facts i managed to get this out is already doing a lot they're like paper, and they stretch a bit so i'm gon na stretch it out a little bit because my head ain't, small and then i'm gon na take this section and tie it. Okay, that's for the edges. Now i think i should go the other way, all right, that one's pointless. It'S not doing anything. Maybe i'll, just use my regular headscarf. Okay. So now we've got the bundles i'm using premium. Two, it's called yaki natural wave, so it is like still nice and slick and shiny, but it has a bit more body to it, because i know my hair doesn't slick that well and i didn't want to risk having like super shiny ends that don't match my Hair, so that's why i got the yaki version. Okay, i need a hair clip for now and i mean a clip like this. You know these, like i don't know the ones that you find everywhere in your house, those ones. I hope this is enough. I only have one bundle and then the aim is: please don't tangle. So i'm going to clip this to my ponytail, to my chat, shall i say sorry all right and then you just basically just wrap it around your ponytail. I think that looks alright. Now i'm going to take the last bit of hair that was left and i'm gon na wrap it around the base of the ponytail. Okay. That looks good, so i'm gon na get my got to be spray spray again use my blow dryer to make that go. Tacky and basically, basically stick okay. Let me get my comb and just make sure that all that's good, then i'm going to cut it like that. Okay, i'm just gon na go through it. You be serious. Let me get my hair like this, get it in between my fingers and then i'm going to cut that. Oh don't judge me! It'S like really bad! So that's right! So that's somewhat on i'm just gon na leave that now i am using my ghds. I'M gon na try and flick it. Now, i'm going to get the middle section, do the same thing. That'S too cute on the last side, and that's that that's basically it i'm going to leave this to set for a minute and then i actually need to go to super drunk and buy some eyelashes um. For my look, let me turn around that's what it's looking like. I literally have no clue what it looks like from the back. It could look so bad and i won't even know, but the yaki has a very good shell because it definitely looks a lot less shiny and just looks a little bit more like realistically mine, okay, i am back from what was a very stressful trip to the Show my face is so shiny. Now, all right, then so i saw my friend when i went out and he hugged me and, like everything just moved also that whole flick thing, i did kind of disappeared. So i think i'm gon na need to do that again. Anyway, a bit closer moment of truth, how do i do this? I might just rip this? Okay, ah, is it white? Is that me it's white? Oh, my god. This side is fine, but this side is done. White uh. What do i do about that? What the hell it's white um, the hair, looks great though i mean look, how slick this is the first time i've ever got my hair. Stick this, though, what do i do about that? I'M gon na put some mousse and see if that removes the whiteness. What the hell, why we're doing so? Well, i just want to see if that will: oh it did it did. Why am i so small, i don't know i fixed it. Excuse my shiny hair. I'Ve been running round manic and this yaki hair looks so good because it's a lot more realistic than using. Like anything, that's really super slick and shiny. I am so proud of myself. I'Ve tried this so many times and it's failed over and over and over again. So i'm going to assume it's either a combination of the the new gel and maybe the fact that my hair texture released actually helped it um because normally by now all of this is like mad wavy and it's actually stayed quite slick. Aha, very, very nice. Okay, i'm just so happy. I love it. I think it looks so cute once i like put my earrings in i'm sure i look even nicer. I think i did a pretty good job. I'Ve never made it look like this ever look at that. That'S pretty slick. So the original outfit i wanted to wear didn't work. I'Ve got all this other stuff now to try on. I don't know if you guys want to see that or not so i might just leave that out of the rest of the video uh.
