Sleek Ponytail Look | Tutorial For Short Curly Hair

Hello, ladies and welcome back to my channel, my name is Shirley today I'll, be showing you how I do my ponytails on day 4 or 5 hair when I no longer can wear my curls. So this is what my hair looks like a couple of days ago, and I was clearly not going out like this, so my go-to for this hairdo is always my diva curl ultra defining gel it just has amazing hold I use a regular brush and a scrunchie And let me tell you, I go him with this gel like overly excessive. I do not wet my hair because I don't like that. I guess damp smell, so I just have to really saturate my hair with gel so that I can get that nice sleek. Classy. Look that I, like so you're just gon na see me overly applying gel, but this is how I do it. My hair was really curly, so I decided to go on with my paddle brush and really just break down my curls. Just in the front. As you see, I'm not brushing them all the way through and in the back of my hair, just to get it nice and sleek, then of course more gel, as I really start to form the ponytail, I like to do my ponytails more on the lower side. Just because my hair is still so short, so it gives it that fake illusion that it's longer, but it's not if you do a higher ponytail, it's gon na look more youthful and kind of like a big pouf. So I just like the sleek look towards the bottom, and here you see me again, applying even more gel now on my edges, really defining my hair and making sure that all those little stragglers are under control. Now I go in with the brush and really sleek down my hair. This is a harder brush. I personally like the tougher brushes, but I know some people are very tender-headed and might like to use the softer brushes, but I know that I get that really. Sleek, look as you see here, with the harder brushes, so this is what I use and I go over my hair repeatedly until every little hair is down and under control. Now I go in and grab my scrunchie and just really tighten my hair. I know a lot of curly girls tell you not to double or triple tie your hair, but if you do want that sleek look you have to. I think I tied it twice or maybe three times. This is the look that I got I'm going in now towards the back of my hair and just wetting it because it was looking very, very dry and decided to add some products. So this is the incredible curls cream by Jane Carter, and this stuff is amazing. I like to use it to R equals and that's kind of what I'm doing now. I'M not gon na defuse it or anything, but just giving my curls some moisture and just some added definition, and this is what it looks like and as you saw there, I still had some stragglers so guess who grabbed more gel mm-hmm. Now I'm just leaking down my edges and pulling out those little hairs by my ears to make it just look a little cuter and you can always use gel on your eyebrows to make sure they don't move and stay in place. Now, I'm going in with the brush and really defining my edges. The way that I want you can really do your edges. However, you like this is how I prefer to do mine and that's it. Ladies.
