What is up you guys welcome back to my channel, it's Marisa right here. If you're new hello, how are you I'm doing a long, braided ponytail, today kind of like a tutorial but kind of just experimenting whatever anyhoo? I am doing this on freshly washed hair washed and conditioned by the way you guys, I will not be putting any heat or any any heat on my hair today, like none whatsoever, because I'm doing this on a natural, curly hair state. So, in order to do a ponytail or any type of ponytail braid, anything like that on my hair y'all see that my hair is very thick, so I definitely have to go in and detangle everything. First, I have to detangle my hair. Otherwise, I will have literally the hardest time trying to do any comb style any brush any ponytail anything. So I'm using this moisturizer lotion from Olive miracle just to detangle my hair, and you know make sure that I have a moisture on my hair while doing this style, then coming it out. That way, you know I can minimize the breakage and damage and all of that stuff. So this part is pretty self-explanatory. I'M just gon na detangle, my hair and I'll. Let y'all watch that and I'll get back with y'all. Once I start, you know forming my ponytail. Okay right now, you guys, I am just perfecting a part, because I'm going to be doing a middle part for this ponytail, you can honestly choose whatever part you want. I just prefer the middle part for this one today, I'm moisturized first and now I'm about to get into actually combing my hair out. I wanted to make sure my hair was kind of saturated and all that first then, I'm gon na comb, my hair out and I'm starting to realize now that I'm going back and actually looking at what I did. I kind of think I took some extra unnecessary steps, but yeah anywho I'm about to get to detangling. Now, as you can see, and for those of you who do not know, please be sure that when you are detangling your hair, you want to start from the ends and work your way up to the root of your hair. Please do not ever start from the root and go down: okay, just FYI, and so what I'm using is some eco styler gel. I believe this is the coconut oil one. I really like this cause. It smells real good and I'm gon na be brushing through my hair as well and then forming a ponytail on top of that, I'm just forming a loose ponytail because I'm gon na be slicking everything back together. So I added some of that eco styler gel to the ends of my hair as well and brushed through it, because when I start to braid it later on, I want to be sure that you know it blends as well as possible and that I can kind Of like cover up my ponytail holiday, so now I'm pretty much just going through all the other sections to moisturize and also put my gel in and slick it back. So I put, I mean I put a generous amount of gel because, like I said, my hair is really thick and I wanted it to be as slick as possible. So I am just brushing that through and I'm going to be doing that to the other side. As well so now that each side is detangled and jailed back, I want to do that with all of it, because now we have to form the ponytail, so I'm just adding more gel honey. I didn't go like excessively over, but I do add a lot and I'm just gon na brush everything all back together like just to form a ponytail in that ponytail holder that I'm using it's one of those thicker ones. So it has like a thicker band to it and that's better if you have thicker hair, it's really good. If you have nicer thicker hair and then I'm gon na take a hard bristle brush. Not it's not super hard. It'S fairly soft! Actually, but you know like a hard brush to slick everything back, I'm using that you know to try to get any flyaways and everything like that. So now I'm just putting my hair into the actual ponytail and pretty soon here, I'm gon na be starting to do my little baby hairs. I know that a bit of that looks a little bit white because they're like the moisturizer plus the eco styler gel, but trust me you guys. Eco styler gel never turns white on me. It only looks like that in the beginning, when I have product in it, but literally once my hair kind of dries out after, like maybe 5 minutes, maybe even less. It never looks white even after several days later, my hair, never white. When I use eco styler gel, which I know a lot of people - have problems with jails, they always turn white, but not for me, eco styler gel doesn't turn white for me. It usually you know it dries down it's only because of the product, so yeah, I'm repeating myself, but whatever you know, y'all get it y'all get it y'all get it. So I'm just gon na be doing this, and then I am going to tie my hair down with a satin scarf. So the braiding here that I will be using today is the expression braiding hair, that 2x pre-stretched and it's in the color 33 from the African collection actually got this off. The Amazon y'all I thought 33 was gon na be more closer to my hair color. But it's not whatever still turned out cute anywho, so what I did as y'all could see was I kind of sectioned off the hair, because I'm gon na be feeding the hair into this braid cuz. I want it to be long. It turned out longer than expected, but I didn't want it to be long, and so what I'm doing is just wrapping that ponytail holder around the braiding hair and combing it out, so that I can actually attach it to my ponytail and now we're kind of gon Na start braiding, so I wanted to this was my first time trying to do like that cover-up method and cover up the color of my hair. So, after attaching the ponytail to my hair, I am sectioning. Each section, like you, know three by three three sections: my hair and the braiding hair sectioning it off and I'm gon na start braiding and what I'm doing is if y'all can see it's better to like see them for me to explain it. But I'm pretty much using the braiding hair to cover up my hair so that when it like Winnick braids or when it actually forms the braid, you won't be able to see my hair through it. Like you kind of may see some parts, because I'm no pro at this y'all, I'm just kind of experimenting, but pretty much for the most part I was able to cover up my hair. So that's the technique I was using and I did that pretty much all the way down to where my hair stopped and yeah. Like I said y'all, this color is actually a lot darker than I expected, but you know because on the picture it did not look like this, but you know it is what it is I made it work. It still turned out cute, so I'm gon na keep doing that and pretty soon here, I'm gon na the hair in or free I'm sorry feed a piece of another piece of Brandon Harry and I think I fit in about mmm three pieces or so into this Brain and if y'all want to see how I do a feed and brain, I do have a previous tutorial on my feed and brain method, because I've done feeding braids on myself before or not. Let'S praise, I should say it's pretty much the same method. So that's what I did and it actually turned out pretty cute, I'm pretty decent at doing the feeding and you know, but that's what I did to get the length that I wanted this hair by itself. It was already pre stretched a shower stall and that's really good, because I didn't have to go in and stretch it myself and plus. It was actually already long, but you know I was being extra, so I made it longer and yeah, I'm just gon na keep on braids and keep on bragging and I'm gon na keep feeding the hair in so I'll. Let y'all watch that and try to get the hang of it. So once I got to the end y'all, I didn't do any nodding or anything like that. I just used a clear rubber band to secure the ends of it. This was you know, just the easiest. Little way to do it and then later on, at the end of the video I didn't add like a piece of jewel to cover the rubber band, even though it doesn't show, but you know anywho so now, I'm just trying to like I say: y'all, I'm not A pro, so I did have still have a few pieces of my hair poking through, but overall, like at the end, you'll see that it actually turned out pretty cute and I'm just separating the braids trying to fluff it a bit trying to make it a little Bit more, even naturally a braid does get thinner as it you know, goes down, but I just wanted to kind of even it out as much as I could, but not make it too thick. So now I'm gon na be taking my got to be glued spray, because I'm gon na wrap a piece of Brandon hair around the ponytail holder, so that the ponytail holder does not show this step is completely unnecessary, not very much needed, but it was just something That I wanted to do so, I'm just wrapping the braiding hair around the ponytail holder and spraying that got to be glued jail or I'm sorry spray just around it to you know, try to make it stick together. That way, I do not have to go in and use several bobby pins and say: um. You know hair pins because anybody got time for that. That is too painful sometimes, and it's just unnecessary. So that's what I'm doing just securing that and spraying extra extra spray on there just so that I make sure that it is secure. So now you guys, I am about to use some flexi rods, because I want the ends of the brain to be curly. So, that's literally all I did. I wrapped the flexi rod around two pieces of the ends of the hair and I'm gon na dip it in hot hot water like boiling water. I ended up dipping the whole braid in boiling water y'all and this hair gets so relaxed and so silky in hot water. So the next time I do something like this: I'm gon na dip the hair first that way the whole braid can be silky. Looking you know what I'm saying so what I'm gon na do now is for a little bit of style and fashion. I'M gon na add some of those like gold looking at bobby pins to the sides of my head. Just you know to make it look a little bit cuter and everything like that. I think this sounds turned out really cute overall, you guys, I hope you guys really enjoyed this. As you see is super long. It comes way past my booty, but you know it's all good. So if y'all liked this video give me a thumbs up and make sure you subscribe, and I will catch you in my next video
