Hey guys! My name is JeweJeweBee and today I will be showing you how I get my thick curly hair into a super sleek pony tail. I also show how I lay my edges and baby hairs as well! Welcome to my channel Jujubee today I'll show you how to get a super sleek ponytail fact that I can squish it down into this tiny. What'S miraculous took quite a few steps, but I'm going to show you how to do it and also how I lay my baby hairs, because before my technique wasn't down pack, some of you guys were telling me my baby hairs looked a mess. So now I've been practicing and I've been laying my baby hairs like this for the past couple weeks, so I'm going to be showing you that too just stay tuned, so you can learn how I got to this. I'M going to start by using Shea moistures curl. Enhancing smoothie and I'm going to apply that to my freshly washed hair. I always do my ponytails on wet hair, because my hair is just a lot easier to manage and my hair has already been shampooed and detangled. So it's just ready to go next. I'M going to use this rat tail comb and part my hair and next I'm going to take my Denman brush. I had to check to make sure it wasn't disgusting home, so I'm just gon na use that in brush and smooth down the top of my hair, I'm not detangling, I'm just smoothing it down. Oh X, I'm going to take my bristle brush and my bristle brush has a really hard side and a really soft side, and that's the side that I'm going to be using. You always want to be really gentle with your wet hair, because it's very vulnerable to breakage and damage, while it's wet so just be really gentle with it, and I'm going to use that brush to smooth down the front of my hair and then next, I'm going To be laying my edges, so I'm just going to take my comb and smooth it kind of forward and down and then press it back and while I'm pushing it back, I'm creating a little part to there. As you can see, and then once I get it in place, I'm going to take my eco, solid, gel and place that onto my edges and that's just going to give it some hold. I like to use the eco styler ii and not put it on first, because once I put the eco styler on it's kind of hard to work with it after that, so I just lay my edges down, as you can see, going down and kind of forward A bit down and then back creating a little part there and then put the eco styler on next, so that it can just hold it into place. You look Whitney Houston baby, see you like with me sing. You like sing. You like Whitney Houston yeah you with me when you yeah you, oh it does for my fine baby hairs at the front. I prefer to use a spoolie brush over a toothbrush because it's really precise and it can really get in there and smooth those really fond. Then edges down at the front of my hair are wrong to you. I'M Your Baby tonight, oh just for somebody. I think it helps if you do a face, like you smell something, really really just stinky. So now I'm just going to do the exact same thing to the other side of my hair. Tell me your name crazy insane like great. I come you gon na spend some time now that I'm done with my baby hairs in edges, I'm going to be smoothing down the rest of my hair and a rat tail comb is how I get all of the bumps and curls out and just make it Super duper smooth and sleek, and then next, I'm taking my brush and just smoothing everything down getting rid of all of the flyaways and making it as smooth as possible either way. I do my baby hairs before I put my hair into a ponytail, because once I put it into a ponytail and put that gel on it's not going anywhere. So I like to do my baby hairs first, so that I can manipulate them and you know move them. How I want them to and then put it in a ponytail either going to be fixing and smoothing down that part in the back. But now I'm just going to be retouching up my baby hairs and smoothing them down. They'Re super curly, so it's really hard to get them to stay in place. They just naturally go up so for my ponytail I'm taking some more of my Shea moistures curl enhancing smoothie. It looks like a little rough there, but I actually wasn't home. I'M just going to be smoothing that through my hair to get my hair really moisturized, my ponytails tend to be frizzier than my regular, wash and gos. So I'm going to be applying look at that shrinkage, so I'm just going to be applying a little bit more product than normal, just so that I can keep it elongated and keep it from getting frizzy. I don't know about y'all, but my ponytail, when it dries, is going to shrink up to like 1/4 of the size, but that's just how my ponytails work. They always shrink up so much so again. Touching up those edges is for like the fifth time and I'm going to be um. Oh no, I'm all done. That'S the last step, guys! That'S how I give my ponytail super sleek guys and the days after all I have to do - is apply some conditioner and a bit more eco styler and use a brush to smooth it down and I'm ready to go. It can last for like a week and if I'm done with the ponytail can just put it in a low bun, it's a great protective style, Whitney Houston. We do see you like this. We can sing you like sing. To test before you apply to your hair put little samples or the products on your hand and blend together if you get residue it doesn't not mix. If you do not get residue they do mix !
