Hey you guys welcome to the new and improved tamara tv, all right, you guys so in today's video i will be showing you guys how i slick my 4c um short twa hair up into a high ponytail um. It'S pretty quick and easy to do. I only really use one product and um yeah so um without even talking too much about it. We'Re just gon na go ahead and get right into the video all right, you guys. So, for starters um, i start on clean hair. So my hair is not freshly washed, but it was washed um yesterday and it is pretty clean, um, there's nothing in it. It'S very dry i'll, give you guys a full 360.. What i'm going to do is i'm going to start off first with some conditioner water in this bottle. I have some cantu leave-in conditioner and some water, and that's it i'm just going to go ahead and spray that directly into my hair, just to kind of loosen it up a bit, because my hair was extremely dry. Okay, so now that my hair is a little moisturized, i'm gon na go ahead and with the comb, i'm gon na use the wide side of the comb and detangle my hair. Okay. So now that my hair is fully detangled, i'm going to go ahead and finesse. It up into a ponytail, so i have a scrunchie here um just so you guys know, i always use a scrunchie. I never use rubber bands just because rubber bands tend to cause a lot of tension and breakage on the hair. Scrunchies are just a little bit softer on the hair, so that's just my personal preference, i'm going to go ahead and take my comb and literally just comb, my hair up to as high as i want the ponytail. All right, you guys. So here is the ponytail that i am working with it's in there. Pretty nice and tight i'll do a full 360. So you guys can see that i have lots and lots of hair left out that isn't in the ponytail, which leads us into the next step, which is slicking down the ponytail. All right, you guys so to slip down my ponytail. I will be going in with the 24 hour edge tamer by even new york and to start off. I just go ahead and grab some of it about this much and i literally just apply it straight to my head. Okay, so now that the product is in and it is distributed pretty evenly, i'm going to go in with a very hard bristle brush, so this brush is very very hard. It'S very, very firm! I'M going to go ahead and literally just brush my hair back into the pony, all right, you guys so now you can see that my hair is fully slicked up and all i did was use the edge control. So the next step is the fun part, and that's literally just applying the ponytail all right, you guys so the first ponytail that i'm going to apply is my drawstring puffball. This is a synthetic ponytail that i got from my local beauty supply store and it is drawstring so to apply this ponytail. What i'm going to do is it has two combs here and i apologize if you guys can't see it, but this is some really puffy. Hair but there's a comb right here and a comb right here. You can tell the back of the ponytail because it has a tag. So what i'm going to do is apply the front of the ponytail to the front of my head. Of course, i'm going to take the combs here and dig them into the front of the ponytail. So let me try to get as close as possible. Here, dig them right in then. What i'm going to do is take the back of the ponytail. So hopefully you guys can see these clips here. I'M just going to literally do the same thing that i did to the front and the back and just dig that right on in then, what i'm going to do is take the drawstring. It is an adjustable drawstring. I'M going to tighten it by pulling and now the puff ball is pretty nice and tight. The next step is to take a bobby, pin and apply the bobby pin to the end of the drawstring. So here i have the bobby pin and i'm just going to open it up and apply it right on the end. So here we go and next you just want to take the drawstring and wrap it around the base of the ponytail. Then you're going to take the bobby, pin and stick it in to the base of the ponytail, so that that way you don't see it and there you go. This is one of the completed looks so if you feel that your ponytail isn't sturdy enough, you can always go in with extra bobby pins and pin it down um. I personally don't like how high this ponytail is, so i'm just going to pull it back. A little bit so it looks a little bit more fitted on my head. So what i'm going to show you guys? Is you take a bobby? Pin you open it up, of course, and then you take a little piece of hair. Try to make it look as natural as possible, so here i have a little piece of hair in the back. I'M just going to slightly pull it down and clip that piece of hair to my hair and then you fluff out the puff ball so that it all blends together. That is pretty much how you make the ponytail a little bit more sturdier. So i'm going to go ahead and show you guys how i apply a longer ponytail all right, you guys so for this demonstration. I decided to do a voice over just because i will be showing you two separate ponytails. At the same time, one of them being a mid-sized ponytail and the second one being a very long ponytail and to start off you just follow the same instructions that we just did with the puffball. You locate the two different combs and install the front comb into the front of your ponytail as shown, then you turn around and you put the back comb into the back of your ponytail as you guys can see here, you just push it in and once it's In you want to make sure that you tighten it by pulling the adjustable string that i'm showing you guys here, i'm just going to pull and tighten that next you're going to add the bobby pin to the bottom of the drawstring. Like you see here and you're going to wrap that around the base of your ponytail exactly the way we did with the puff ball. So here i'm just kind of showing you guys the looks of the ponytail so far um, so because these two ponytails are longer than the puff ball. There is an extra step that you're going to have to do to make the ponytail look more natural you're, going to take off a piece of hair, so section off a piece of your hair from the ponytail, preferably from the back and you're, going to take it. And wrap it around the base of the ponytail sort of like a scrunchie in a way just to give it a more natural look once you've wrapped the hair around the base of your ponytail and it's looking natural and it's the way you like you want to Grab a bobby, pin and add that onto the bottom of your hair, to the tip of the hair that you section off and you're going to stick the bobby pin into the base of your ponytail to secure the hair that you section off. I'M not sure if that's making any sense to you guys, but you could see it in the video here once you secure the ponytail with the last bobby, pin you're pretty much done with the look um, you can wear your ponytail and whatever style you want to. You can wear it up in a bun, you can wear it, i'm just hanging low. You can wear to the side, you know whatever your preference is in this video you'll see me finesse, one of the ponytails up into a bun, just to show you the diversity of the different ponytails that i chose. So the last step after applying your ponytail is to do your edges and, of course this is totally optional. For the sake of today's video, i will do my edges just to go ahead and complete the full process. So what i do to lay my edges is, i take the edge control, the same edge control that i use all around my head. I also use the edge brush and i literally just go straight in on my edges, so i'm going to go ahead and take some and apply to my edges. Just go straight down, and i start off by brushing my edges straight from the rest of my hair and i always work with half of my head. First, it just seems to make it easier for me and the next step after brushing down my edges, is doing the swoops that i want so today i'm just going to go ahead and do some side. Swoops, of course, apply more edge control as needed. So, okay, next, i'm just going to repeat the process on the other side, all right, you guys, so that is it! That is how i slip my short 4c hair up into a high ponytail. I will step up closer, so you guys can see the finished. Look. Thank you so much for watching. Please don't forget to like and subscribe.
