What'S up guys welcome back to my youtube channel, happy holidays? Today'S video is going to be all about this super long, braid guys. I am not asleep to the fact that this is extra long. I don't know if you guys have seen this trend, but i've been seeing these braids around everywhere and they were so cute, so i was like i have to try it, so this video is going to be all about this jumbo long, extendo braid. That is just ridiculously long for no reason but we're gon na get into it. My first step is just going through and detangling again. My hair is pretty much already detangled. I have a leave-in conditioner in some water, she's semi-dry, not completely soaking wet and then i'm just taking and dividing the crown of my head this just it makes it easier, for you know my ponytail to lay flat. It gives us that nice flat look that we're going for and then i'm just going in with my eco style, gel and slicking up the sides. I bought a whole new brush because i just wanted a new brush this one's double-sided - it's like my other one, but a little bit skinnier. So i don't know i'm just trying out some new stuff, but i'm just taking the brush and brushing my hair up on all sides and then i'm going to take and put it into a ponytail, i'm just going to use this got to be - and this is Just going to be pretty much for the last layer, you know before i put on my scarf, the god, 2b is really going to serve just to set everything into place to you know give it that really good hold that nice slicked. Look because that's what we're going for so, if you've seen any of my other videos, you would know that i love this scarf. It'S basically a double end scarf, so you can really set your hair in whatever style, you're doing and then at the top. You can put in whatever you need to do it's just best of both worlds. Okay, we can multitask. This is revolutionary on a real note, though, i'm just really excited because i they didn't have this like five years ago. I feel like they definitely didn't. Have this product, or maybe i'll sleep on it, but i'm obsessed with it and it just makes everything easier. It lays everything a lot more flat than me having to take my scarf and wrap it around, but at the very top i'm just taking and doing two braids with my leave out just because i want to tuck that into my actual braid, when i do it. So i just leave those at the top. I look like an aunt, so i pretty much just let that sit overnight, let that dry completely and then i got started my braid. I use this easy braiding hair, and i picked this specifically because long already, i wasn't gon na have to taper the hair, like i would with maybe a shorter pack hair. This length was really long, and so i just bought two packs of that and basically worked with that. So i basically took the one pack of hair and looped it around a solid rubber band, and then i just put it on my dresser, because this made it the easiest. I started with a three strand twist, but then i forgot for a second that i had to leave out some hair to wrap around my hair. That kind of just conceals my hair. If that makes sense, so it just everything blends a little bit cleaner when i finally put on the braid yeah, but basically i'm just doing a three strand twist, all the way down three strand twist, a three strand, braid um. It was so cute and looking really neat and nice, but the unfortunate part is the struggle part for me was adding in more hair to the braid. I think that that's where i struggled the most just because i wanted the connect to be seamless and i feel like it did look like. I could tell where i added in the hair, so i did have to end up going in and you know just redoing. It a couple times just to get it right. This is the process, though i'm not mad at it, never mad at the process, a little frustrated at the process, but never mad, so yeah i basically just kept re-braiding it until i got it right quote-unquote. It still wasn't perfect towards the end, and i wasn't a big fan like as i was braiding all the way down, which was oh, my gosh, like once i got to the end. It was just really hard with the hair, because i was braiding with like just the smallest little pieces of hair ever, but i do think the final product it turned out decent. It'S not perfect, so yeah as you can see, it was a little crooked. So this is me day two i went back in like literally the morning after because i was so frustrated the night before, but i went in the morning after and i just re-braided it. I think it turned out a little bit better, the second time around um the first time around. It was just such a big bump in the hair that i could tell where i added in the hair, and i feel like the second time around. It turned out a little bit better but, like i said, practice makes perfect. So this is me the next morning and our braid is finished. I think it turned out a lot better, the second time around she's all ready to go and long as hell. Like really long so this is my hair. I like it like. I said i like doing this the night before you know just letting it sit, because i feel like it has a chance to dry more. I could have taken the scarf off the day of, but it still would have been a little wet for my taste, but i'm basically just going around and wrapping the braid to my hair. I just basically wrapped the bam. That'S attached to the braid around my little ponytails and then i just kept wrapping. I used a lot of bobby pins, not that many actually, i just feel like. I definitely used like a good five or six of them, and that was honestly for security and also just to hide the hair um. Once i got done wrapping it, there was a little piece of hair still sticking out, so i just used that to pin that back and boom. This is what we looking like she long y'all like i was i like when i was making the braid. I saw how long it was, but putting it on was a whole nother story and um yeah. I saw a bunch of girls, everyone who i saw do this style. They had these really cute um. I don't even know what you call these scrunchies yeah hair scrunchies. So i picked up one i feel like this. One is kind of festive. You know red holiday, velvet vibes. Now, i'm just doing my baby hairs, i'm using my 24 hour edge tamer. I really love this edge control if you have 4c kinky, hair and you're. Looking for a really good hold for an edge control, i would definitely give this a try. I like different etch controls, but this one by far is the one that holds my hair the longest i just hated when i would do my baby hairs and they'd be popping up by the end of the day. So i really like this one. I appreciate her, but i just did a couple baby hairs um, you know just to show the versatility. So this is our little final look with just the braid. I really do love this style i wanted to just. I was just experimenting at this point, so i took some of the extra hair that i had left over cut that in half, because it was a really long, braiding hair and i just bobby pinned it. So i could make some little braid baby hairs, not baby hairs like little braid flyaways hairs in the front of my face. I don't even know what to call it, but the two hairs in the front of my face. I'M just kind of experimenting here just seeing what was good. What was up. I think i don't even know what i was going for. We were just experimenting at this point, so i was just using bobby pins to hold it into place, and then i had these two white clips that i was like. Oh my gosh kind of matches with my turtleneck, but i didn't end up liking. The white clips too much, but i just cut it. You know i wanted to shape my face. I didn't want these super long. I felt like the braid itself was long enough, so i'm just cutting these and then i go in and i'm just gon na braid. These into two braids going down and again i'm just doing regular three strand braids pretty easy. I wish i was better explaining how to do three strand braids. I just learned. I don't know how i learned. I think i learned from my mom but yeah. I pretty much braided all the way down and then i just took my lighter and burned the ends. Fun fact. If you didn't know, i mean i've been getting box braids for years and years and years. So i know. But if you don't know, braiding hair does burn and that's a good way to end it off. If you don't want to use elastic bands or anything to end it to seal it, you just have to put the flame over it and then use your fingers and kind of squish it together and it becomes rock hard. It'S crazy, it's magic, but i basically did that to the first one and then i did it to the second one, and then i just used some bobby pins to secure it into place. Like i said, this is just me being extra being extra extra extra od, but again i like it both ways. I like it with these and then i definitely like it with just the ponytail itself. I mean the braided ponytail. I think it's definitely cute by itself. As well, i'm just again going in being extra adding in some jewels, because i never play around with the jewels from the beauty supply store, and i want to take advantage of this moment and put a couple in. I like these they're little silver rings. That came together, they came in a pack and you basically just open them up by pulling them apart a little bit, and then you can just snap them closed and i just put a little bit going down. I just want to see what that would look like and it actually added like a cute little look to it. We looked fancy, but this is our finished look y'all. I honestly just wanted to see if i could do this. I'Ve been seeing this style so much on girls and i'm. I love me a good braided pony this one being as long as it was. It was definitely a challenge, but i think it turned out so cute and i'm obsessed with it. It'S so long. It'S like ridiculously long like every time i look at it. I laugh, but it's a look, i'm feeling it, but that is gon na, be it for this video today, if you like this video, be sure to give it a thumbs up hit that subscribe button.
