Ponytail Curl

Simplifying the hair curling process for our salon guests builds value and makes life easier. Creating a high ponytail keeps curls focused where they are needed most and helps avoid burns.

Hi, my friends Sam via here, have you ever had a clan complain to you and sit in your chair and say I burnt my neck with a curling iron and what they were actually trying to do was curl their hair at the nape area. It happens. All the time, so what we wanted to do today is share with you, a simple idea, simple little concept of how you can help the client at home to make their work easier. This is something too you can do in the salon. What we simply did was take the hit long hair and we put it up into a ponytail and she's got some beautiful nice natural way. So you don't need to go in and straighten to anything. Now you simply come in and our part of choice is going to be our iron shape. 11. Remember this is our thermal protecting spray, it's the protection from the heat, and it gives you lasting style. We'Re gon na work with a black tail comb on blonde hair and we're gon na work with our two and one Marcel iron and wand. But what we're going to do is we're going to push the button and like magic, make it a wand. I love working with the wand in this. In most cases, you'll find clients they have wands at home, the size of suction you take and you're taking these randomly it's based upon the size of curl that you want. So if you want, if you want a little bit more type of curl to it, then what you want to do is take a smaller, tiny section. Remember now don't forget, like I almost forgot products, it's not an option. It is a necessity. Do whatever wrap you want it up in here, you may want to do just a flat, wrap, just a really kind of flat wrap and then maybe pull on them. Once again, it's going to be based upon the texture, the density that you're working with and you're randomly going through and curling all of the hair up at the ponytail work at various directions that first one I worked forward, the next one I want to go through And I'm gon na work this one back and away, but once again random sections don't be so system at around it. But what's important is the size of section now also you could take these in random directions, so don't feel that you could go in and take it the same direction. I want you to think about even mixing the curls up. Let'S go this time. Let'S work our way away from, but keeping it flat so see, I'm just working it away, but keeping it flat. So if you wanted to create a multi textured finish, you could come in and you come through and do another type of wrap on this section. Watch I'll take this one and, as I wrap this time, I'm just gon na give it a twist and wrap twist and wrap twist and wrap. Now this curl is gon na, be a little bit more defined than the other two, so mix it up a little bit. I'M gon na continue working through the ponytail and then you will see the finished. Look all right. Our last curl here now, the next step on this look, is to take out the ponytail. We'Ve worked with a bungee cord, made it real simple to take it out. Now it's a matter of her just shaking her head. There we go and back up and in well uh she's got this volume of curl and wave. The idea is because it's in a ponytail you're not getting mass amount of volume in that crown area. Now you could see how easy that is just by taking out the elastic dropping it down and now just working with your hands working with a comb. One thing I'm going to recommend that you don't do is don't brush it out. You'Re gon na get too much expansion unless that's the end result in terms of the desired look. Once again, I'm gon na finish with my favorite product, my fashion work, 12 fashion or 12 soft control and spray in the hands. Why a client that doesn't like hairspray, but we still want a little bit more of a soft control and the curl to blasts hope you enjoyed this my friends another way to share with a client how they can go home and curl their hair without burning the Nape of their necks thanks for watching and it's Sam via, we will continue to bring you the education you
