Easy High Sleek Drawstring Ponytail | Protective Style

Hi guys welcome to my channel in today's video you'll be learning how to do a high sleek ponytail super easy super simple. This is a cute protective style, so you can be able to grow long, healthy hair, that's my goal! So that's why i always like this style, because it doesn't damage my hair and it's really cute. So if you want to learn how to do this, hairstyle keep watching so first i start by getting my spray bottle. I put a little bit of conditioner in it and spray it all over my hair, then i'm going to take my hard brush and brush my hair back just to start getting that sleek. Look then i'm going to flip my hair over. So i can get all my hair to the top of my head and i'm going to take my spray bottle and spray the back of my hair and then take my hard brush and brush that again. So i can get it sleek in the back as well. Then continue to brush all over my head, so it can be nice and slick and smooth. Then i'm going to take my gel and place it all along my edges. In the back of my head, you can use any gel, but i'm using the eco styler gel the black, castor oil kind and yeah i'm just going to continue to smooth it all along my edges, so we can get that smooth. Sleek. Look don't forget to put some gel in the back to guarantee a nice high, sleek, ponytail, okay and then take your hard brush and smooth all that gel down. So you can get that nice sleek! Look that we're going for okay and then i'm gon na grab. My hair tie and go ahead and tie my hair up. I try to put my ponytail pretty tight because that's that's how it's gon na keep that sleek. Nice look, but sometimes it gives me a headache but yeah it's worth it. So yeah just go ahead and tie your hair up as tight as you can take. You know all right and then i just go back and take my hard brush and smooth out any lumps any. You know any things that don't look right and just smooth it out just to give it that perfect, nice smooth, sleek. Look then i'm going to take my spray bottle and spray, my hair just to get it nice and moisturized. Then i just twist my hair twist. It twist it twist it until i get to the ends and then just wrap it around. Until like i make a little bun once i have that bun i just take another hair tie and put it over it just to secure the bun all right, and then i just go back in with my hard brush. Just to you know, smooth out any lumps or imperfections that i see, then i'm going to get my drawstring ready, um. I believe this drawstring is 30 inches and i think it's in the color 1b. I ordered it off um sam's beauty. I think i don't know i'll put the link in my description but yeah. I just get that ready. I get my brush and brush it out. Just so it's nice and you know smooth and cute and detangled. Then i'm going to take the comb. That'S on the top of the drawstring ponytail and just place that over my bun and just stick it in my hair. Then i'm going to take the bottom comb of the drawstring ponytail and stick that under my bun and stick that in through my hair. Then there's this little string in the back that i pull. I pull it pretty tight just to make sure it's like nice and secure, but it doesn't have to be that tight, but i just put it i like it tight, because i want to make sure my ponytail doesn't go anywhere. Then i take that string and wrap it around and i'm going to take a bobby, pin and bobby pin it down in the back all right. So i get my bobby pin and i'm going to go ahead and pin that string in the back down. Then i'm going to take a piece from the ponytail. I take kind of a pretty thick piece, but i take a piece of the ponytail and i'm going to use that to wrap around the ponytail just to give it a more natural, more seamless look so yeah. Just wrap that piece around and just keep wrapping around and make sure you're like covering the string and just the top of the ponytail just so it looks natural all right. So once i get to the end of that piece that i wrapped around, i just take some bobby pins and pin it down. I put one first just to make sure it stays down because it's pretty thick piece and then i just put a couple more in the back and just pin everything down. Okay, once i'm done with that, i just take my brush and go ahead and brush my ponytail just to make sure it's nice and detangled and just make sure it's like you know, cute and all together. Oh it's already starting to look cute. Okay. So then i take my toothbrush. This is what i'm going to be using to lay down my edges, i'm just dipping it in some water just to like soften my edges and just to like lay them down before i put like gel or anything or edge control, or anything like that on them. Then i'm going to get my gel, i use the main choice: um biotin infused styling gel to lay down my edges. This gel works really well for my edges because it's like it doesn't damage my edges. It like promotes, like you, know, hair growth and stuff like that so yeah. This is the gel that i like to use for my edges, so yeah i just place some of that gel on my toothbrush and just kind of like just swoop. My edges - i don't know, i don't really know how to describe it, but you know you'll see yeah, so i just continue to swoop my baby hairs until i get the desired. Look that i'm going for my okay. So now that my baby hairs are done, i'm just going to detangle my drawstring ponytail and just give it a nice cute, detangled fresh, look all right! That'S it for this video!
