Jumbo Braid Ponytail With Braiding Hair | Easy To Do | How To

Hi guys welcome back to my channel, i'm katherine, and for today's video i have a little hair tutorial type of thing. I did a 10 amazon ponytail, just a regular, ponytail video. I will go ahead and tag it up here, so you guys can watch that one. But this is a braided ponytail with braiding hair and for my first time it turned out really good so yeah. So i'm gon na start with my makeup, and i want to tell you real, quick. The lighting here sucks because um, if you saw my last video i'm in chicago and this is like a whole new thing, i'm in this bathroom and it has like yellow lights and then i'm using my ring light. And i try to figure out some of the lighting from the camera to like fix it and make it a little bit more white than just like super yellow. But i don't know how it turned out. But i'm gon na start. By doing my makeup and i'm gon na fast for this and then i'll come back to you guys when i'm gon na start with my hair, don't get me wrong. This is don't stick around. I'M pretty wild. Don'T get me wrong, so my makeup is now done. I am gon na show you guys what i got at the beauty supply store. I have never do use like braiding hair i've. Never like i braided my hair but, like you know, like french, braids and stuff, like that, never used like hair i've, never added hair to my braids, so i'm low-key nervous how this is going to turn out, but i mean if i posted him, i liked how It turned out right um, i think it's gon na be hard, but whatever i wanted to try it, i wanted to do it and yeah. So my hair, it's crazy right now, but it's okay, it's gon na be in a ponytail, so i'm gon na show you guys what i'm gon na use and what i bought at the beauty supply store. Okay, so i bought the pre-stretched hair. I looked at some videos, some youtube videos on girls, doing the ponytail braid like with pre-stretched hair. I'M honestly, just you know i don't know girl. I don't know how this is gon na turn out. I'M just gon na go with the flow and you know hope for the best, but this is the hair that i'm using. I think it's pretty identical to my hair, color um, so yeah, i'm just gon na use this hair. I bought two packages and i think i'm only gon na use one probably we'll see how it goes. I'M actually super nervous, like i don't know how this is gon na turn out, but it's all good whatever anyway, so i bought this little edge. Control edge fixer glue, thingy, it smells so good smells so good. It'S like, oh, my god. It smells so freaking good, but i got this. I wanted to try this and i'm also going to be using this gel. I used to use this gel when i was in the army, and i had to like do my little slick buns thing, so i, like i love this gel. I also use the eco gel, but i don't know i wanted to try this gel again, so i bought this one and then i bought a little edge comb. You know what i call it yeah like an edge comb thingy. I wanted to use this one because i do use a toothbrush, but i wanted to try like the actual thing, so i bought this one. I bought some paper head wraps because i know my um. I have a lot of little like tiny hairs that won't stay down, so i bought these. I thought. Oh, i do have hairspray. I do have hairspray that i bought hairspray. I guess i didn't okay. Well, i'm gon na use some of this paper ribs. Like i told you guys, i watched a lot of videos of girls that, like did their braided, ponies or whatever and we'll see it doesn't look as hard, but it might be it a little harder than it looks. Let'S go for it. I also buy a lip gloss. I'M actually gon na try it right now. This smells good. Oh, this is super thick, okay, well, 99, lip gloss and that's it. I also bought enzo this, like curl refresher. We do use the can cantu for kids um, his shampoo and his living conditioner and his curling cream. If you guys know of any like of a better brand that i could probably use for him for his hair. But i wanted to use this curl refresher because i don't know i wanted to try it out there all right, so i'm gon na attempt to do this. Slickest ponytail. I can't y'all, see this. Oh, my god, i think from when um my postpartum hair loss. I lost a lot of hair right here and it's just like now coming back, but it's like weird, it's like, i think i can see this stuff, it's like whatever. I think this is how high i want my ponytail to be right here, maybe yeah. I think this is how i want it to be: maybe a little bit lower, yeah right there, okay, so now i'm gon na attempt to freaking have it slipped up. I love this gel y'all because it's like it really holds my hair back. I also have this hard bristle, this hard bristle brush to help me make it like, as slick as i can. Oh okay, this is as slick as it's gon na get honestly, so i'm gon na apply some. I wish i had a blow dryer, so i could just blow dry all the gel and all this hairspray. So i could like stay put. I'M gon na attempt to put one of these little paper wraps. I'Ve never done this and y'all. Don'T judge me: okay, it's my first time doing this. Okay, so hopefully this helps me all right. Well, that was the easy part all right. So here i have my one bundle. I know it's like shorter than i thought, but it's okay, like i'm gon na, make it work. I'M gon na keep adding um more hair to it to try and make it longer, but i went ahead and i put a hair tie in it. I pretty much like wrapped it like looped it and pull it through and now i'm gon na just wrap this in my ponytail like that and i'm actually gon na have my hair sit like on top, if that makes sense, but i'm going to first take out A piece of hair, because this is what i'm going to use to wrap around the ponytail well to hide the ponytail holder, the hair tie. So somehow, should i do it now? I guess i really could no i'm gon na wait. Okay, so i'm gon na hold this somehow just try not to break that part in. So what i'm gon na do is i'm gon na split all the hair. In three, like the like my hair and the hair, i bought i'm gon na just split it in three like that and i'm just going to start braiding or maybe you guys can see what i'm doing, but i'm just going to start braiding it and, as i'm Braiding, i'm actually going to put gel in the braid. I know okay, but i'm gon na be putting gel in the sections as i'm braiding pretty much so just going with the gel. This is was an easier way to show you guys what i'm doing so. I'M just gon na, like braid, just keep adding gel to the pieces like that, and now i'm gon na move. This part i'm going to start braiding in the front, but i'm going to be adding hair. So what i'm going to do? I'M going to put this one? Okay, i don't know how to really explain it, but i'm gon na add one to the middle and one to the outside. I guess if that makes any sense, so i'm just going to put this on top and then i'm going to add more gel to combine this too i'm just going to this through and now i have to add more hair. So again, i'm adding to the middle and to the one closest to my face, but again i'm adding gel every time. Okay, this is a little harder than it looks, but it's i feel like it's not that bad. So let me tell it to this piece right here, so this one's gon na go to the middle all right, so i think i kind of got it down. This is getting like longer. I have one more little bundle that i want to add. The thing that sucks about this gel is that it's super messy, like you can tell a lot like. Well, obviously, it's like like brown, alright. So now, i'm just gon na continue to break down okay. So this is how long i actually want it to be. So what i'm going to do next is i'm going to wrap this around. I'M gon na add gel to it and i'm going to brush it to comb it and wrap it around my heavy ass and i'm going to bobby, pin it my hands are so slippery, so i'm just gon na wipe my hands off. I just realized that you guys might be able to hear my washer going because it's literally right outside this door, but anyway, so i grabbed some scissors and i am going to cut the ponytail and all right charles. So this is how long it came out to be something you guys can see. It'S pretty long. You know pretty thick too it's kind of heavy, but it's okay. I love it. I love how it turned out. I know next time that i do it like it would look a lot better like so much better, but i like it, i live for it yeah. You think it's cute. Now i'm gon na attempt to do some of my edges. Oh my god, look at this. My hands from the gel, i feel like that's the only thing that i don't like about this dough. Who cares it's good too? It smells so good. I'M going to take off some baby hairs, all right guys, so that is it for today's video. I did this ponytail this braided ponytail and for my first time i think it turned out pretty good. I thought it was gon na be a lot harder than you know what it was and it was pretty. It was pretty easy. It wasn't too bad. You know. I believe that for my my first time, it's not too bad and when i do it again, it's gon na look a lot better, but it looks really good.
