Now, after flat iron, my hair, it's inevitable at some point, I'm going to throw it back into a ponytail or a ball or a bun, but this day I wanted to do something a little bit different. So this is what I came up with. It'S nothing. Super fancy or exciting just a little bit different than the usual ponytail that I wire my hand. I did a little flat twist on the side and I also button the back to get a slightly different look. This wasn't very complicated at all, so keep watching and I'll show you how I got this look at this point. I haven't done anything to my hair. This big thick black headband, is what I wear when I don't want to when I want to conceal my edges, but not have to brush them, to try to make them look neat or anything. So I'm just going to start by removing that and taking my hair down now, I'm just taking a big wide tooth comb to comb through my hair to release any tangles, I'm taking my comb and sectioning off my hair at the front. So I can begin to flat twist that area now, braiding and flat twisting is not something that I'm very good at. I guess you could say I do just enough to get by so I started to flat twist my hair, knowing that if it was a little messy that would be okay and kind of work. With the look, I was trying to go for a messy look, so it didn't have to be super super neat. Now that i'm done with the twist I'm taking a big bobby pin to secure it and hold it in place, it did unravel as you can see, but that's okay i'll be using this organic root. Stimulator olive oil edge control from my edges instead of a gel because using the gel since it's made of water will only cause my edges and my hair to start to revert and wave up, and this is just going to give me a more sleek look around. My edges now I'm grabbing all my hair and pulling it to the side, because this is going to be a side ponytail. So I'm just smoothing it out just a little bit and of course, I'm going to be using one of my favorite black elastic hair ties to secure my ponytail on the side. Now that I'm done with my ponytail, I'm going to take my fingers and create a little apart or hole in the middle of the ponytail, and I'm just going to take my hair and flip it inside of them going to take all of my hair and put It inside of the little parts that I created with my fingers and then pull it all the way through and then once i'm done with that, i'm just going to take my hair and pull it tight to make sure that the ponytail is a little bit more Secure and then I'm just taking another tug on my hair and, as you can see it tightened up my ponytail more. The final step is to take my side twist and secure it into my ponytail. I'M going to use a bobby pin to hide the ends of it inside of my hair, because it was such a big bobby pin and because of the way that I've secured my hair with it, you could see it sticking out so later on. I did adjust the bobby pin so that it was hidden. This is the final look. I hope you guys enjoyed this video any questions or comments, leave them below. Thank you. So much for watching and I'll see you guys real soon with my next video now later. On that day, I decided that the ponytail was bothering me a little bit by being all on my neck and being down. So i took the ponytail and i just bobby pins it into my hair. I don't have any footage because this was done later, but I thought it looked cute. So I took a few pictures and decided to show a little bit more detail of how that came out.

Tameka Teasley: Thank you you given me a great look to how I'm going to wear my hair at my niece's wedding in a couple of weeks .....Love it!!!

TiffanyNicholsDesign: Very cute...simple and easy! I will def try it!!

prec18: @nikanaturally Well after flat ironing I just apply an oil (like grapeseed oil or coconut oil) every day or every other day and I put my hair in a high bun at night or end up doing bantu knots. If it's really humid there's not too much I can do to stop it from getting poofy or frizzing. When it's not humid out, I dont have to do much at all really and the hair will stay straight very well. Part of that has to do with getting it so straight when I initially flat iron as well. Thanks for watching!

prec18: Thanks girl! Your hair is beautiful. And I love your makeup! Too cute~

TheMsBells: I like this, fast and sporty yet lady-like look!

Bossladi28: I love it

nikanaturally: oh ok thats what I did :-( my hair was super frizzy last time, doesnt help that its super thick. I did one vid where I used the argan oil to try to combat frizz but that was too light. So my hunt continues for a product. I need a good waterless cream(if that exists)

prec18: @nikanaturally Your hair got frizzy after you flat ironed or you mean it didnt get really straight during the process? I need to check out your vids. And your new blog! :) I just think its tough with natural hair and the whole straightening and keeping it straight because the hair is always going to want to revert back. Hot weather and humidity dont help either! lol

prec18: @Mamajen Jemjt My last relaxer was June 2009 so in June of 2010 I was completely relaxer free. I guess that'd make almost 3 years now :)

prec18: THANKS!
