Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today I'm going to be doing a hair tutorial and I don't do many of those, so I'm pretty excited about it. So I get people asking me all the time. How do I do like my half-up half-down ponytail and make it kind of like stay up and look cute, so I'm gon na show you guys my secret today, and it may be something you already know, but I'm just gon na share it with you anyway, because I get so many people asking me about it, so if you guys want to see how I do my half-up half-down ponytail, then please keep watching alright. So I'm just going to jump in to the tutorial so normally at this hairstyle would only take me about like five minutes to do, but since I'm going to be showing you guys how to do it and going through it kind of slow, it's gon na. Take a little bit longer than that, but it's a really great hairstyle, if you know like going to school or you're just on the go and don't have a lot of time in your hair, but still want it to look cute. I do my hair, like this. A lot when I run errands so yeah anyways, I already have some bellami hair extensions clipped in you guys can see my hair. It'S funny because, like this is all right. Here'S like my natural hair, my actual hair, is almost as long as the extensions now, but I have the khaleesi set and I have about 4 clips in and it is in the color off black. Just in case, you guys are wondering I already went ahead and just curled my hair, a little bit kind of made it into waves, and I use my Bellamy 6 and 1 curling wand to do this. I think this hairstyle looks so much better if your hair is curled, especially if you have layers like me. The ponytail just looks so much better, so yeah I just went ahead and already did that. So basically, all you need for this. Hairstyle is a teasing comb. I use this little like it's kinda, like a hair, pick to tease my hair, a hair tie like 1 to 2 bobby pins, something like to kind of texturize your hair. This is the. I have no idea you guys how to pronounce this brand. It'S I know it's made by Kylie Jenner's hairdresser. I picked up at Sephora, it's called like a wee or Ally. I don't know you guys. Let me know if you know how to pronounce it, then you will need a small hair. That is like the key to this look. I definitely recommend getting one that is close to your hair color. I only have this blue one right now. I don't know where all of mine went so yeah and you'll also need a brush. Obviously so anyway. So first thing we're going to do, is kind of tease the hair a little bit and I'm going to use some of this texturising spray. Like I said, I bought this at Sephora, I'm gon na kind of zoom you guys in just a little bit so use this spray. This is like a mixture between a dry, shampoo and a hairspray. It says on here. If a dry, shampoo and a hairspray had a baby, that's what this would be. So I really like this stuff. I actually bought this through my engagement photos to keep my hair to keep my um. My curl in during my engagement shoot all right. So then, the next thing I'm gon na do is kind of section off the part I want to be half up half down, so I'm gon na do like about like this much hair um and I'm going to brush it back so we're gon na have about. Like that much hair, and then the next thing we're gon na do is tease it a little bit just get the ponytail a little bit of volume, so I'm just going to hold it up and then take this hair pick and start to back comb it. If you guys can see what I'm doing alright, so you just want to kind of just be really firm and backcomb it just get that good volume going on. Don'T worry if it looks a little crazy, we'll fix it. Alright, so kind of smooth it with your fingers all right. So now we're gon na take the hair tie and doesn't even you guys back out a little bit so now we're going to take the hair tie and make the ponytail and just make sure that you wrap this like really tightly it's very important and then you're. Just gon na kind of pull it and make it really tight. Okay, so that it's gon na you're gon na have something kind of like this, and this is cute and everything, but this won't stay, so we have to make it to where it will stay. I like to kind of pull on it a little bit to give it just a little bit more volume in the front. I kind of just pull on the pieces like this, get it to where I want it. You see how it's giving it a little bit more volume, so you see you play with it kind of pull the pieces out, try to get it where you want it. I like it messy. I don't like it very slicked for like uniform, looking okay. So then, the next thing I'm gon na do it's tease the ponytail a little bit. So I'm gon na pull this up just kind of tease it and give it a lot of volume. Don'T worry if it looks crazy, we are going to fix it and it will everything will be okay. I promise, if it looks crazy, you can fix it. You just want to get it really teased and then just always tighten it a way. Yeah, like I said like it, looks cute like this, but we're gon na we're gon na do the stuff that makes it um. You know kind of stay up, because I have really fine hair. It doesn't tease very well and then my hair will fall flat and like like, if I didn't tease it in and it'll beat I mean, even if I do chase it, it'll be flattened like five to ten minutes. That'S just the way my hair is so alright. So this is where the magical step the easiest step ever of what actually makes your ponytails stay up comes in. So I'm going to take this hair clip and, like I said it's best, you have um one. That is your hair color, but if you don't, it's totally, okay make sure it's like kind of small. So I'm going to take this hair clip and put it around like kind of flip. It backwards. Flip it backwards like this and then I'm going to clip it around my ponytail and really get it in there and push my ponytail forward. So I'm gon na kind of show you guys how I do that so take it like this. Just make sure it's around the ponytail, it's gon na kind of like claw and clamp onto it and then just push it forward as much as you can alright so anyway, so some of you guys might be like okay! Well, isn't that gon na show? Well! No, if you tease your hair enough and you pull your hair apart, it won't show um most of the time. I don't wrap my hair around it, but if there, if you want to, if you're, really worried about this hair, clip showing number one it's best to get a hair clip that is close to your hair color or what you can do is take a small section Of your ponytail and wrap it around the clip, and then you literally won't be able to see it if you like, wrap a piece of your hair around it. I'M not gon na do that today, just to to save time, but but anyway, the hair clip pushing the hair clip in there is what makes your ponytail kind of stay up, and if you wrap the piece of hair around it, that will also make it stay Up so once I get my hair clip in there kind of like where I want it, sometimes you have to kind of like readjust it. Then I'm going to go back and tease this ponytail again because, like I said my falls flat like every five seconds, just make sure you get a really good tease at the base of the ponytail all right and then just pull it pull it apart anyway and See look how look, how tall and voluminous it is and we're just going to go a step further to give you that much more volume, I'm going to tease the sides right here, I'm telling you guys this hair pick is like boys changing for. If you have like really fine hair, I got this from Walmart, but it's like a Connor. I can't use teasing brushes like they don't really work on my hair for some reason: I'm gon na spray it and normally I would tease like even more of my hair and go in layers. So I'm just trying to show you like the quick way to do this and what I normally do just use the side all right. So now you've got a lot of volume here. So then, when you kind of separate the ponytail and the back, it's just gon na be really big. Look so yeah we live in the south. We like your volume here. You know you you can kind of just play with it and make sure that it lays good but yeah. That'S pretty much it. It'S like a super easy hairstyle. It'S like one of my go-to hairstyles and it definitely looks better with your hair curled. But for the longest time I was always trying to figure out like how to get my ponytail to stay up, because mine would always like fall flat, but this hair clip I'm telling you it's the key to making your ponytail stay up. It also works with regular ponytails if you can get like a really big one for like your regular ponytail, but yeah definitely try this out, because I promise I've totally change your life in your outlook, because a lot of people are just like. I want to wear my hair like that, but I can never get it to look cute. I'M telling you try to this and you will totally thank me so anyway, but thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you guys enjoyed this really quick and easy hair tutorial and if you do your hair like this and try the little ponytail clip, please take a picture and tag me because I would love to see how your hair cells turn out so yeah. Thank you. Guys so much for watching this video, if you enjoyed this hair tutorial, make sure to give this a thumbs up, and I will totally do more hair tutorials. I just tend to not do them because I don't feel like I'm the best at doing my hair but anyways. I love you guys and I will talk to you soon. Bye
