How To Get A Slick Ponytail - Tutorial & The Brush You Need | Beauty'S Big Sister

Basically, I am going up for dinner tomorrow night, so I thought why am i washing my hair with his golf to a great start as no where's the spray mature? I shampoo right be right back. I'Ve just grabbed another kind of shampoo, so this will do basically, I thought why am I gon na wash my hair, but I want it to look nice when I got dinner tomorrow, so I just thought: let's do a really slick hairstyle tutorial, because I always wear My hair slicked, like I love, wear my hair slicked and my friend messaged me the other day like how do you do that? I just presumed kind of everyone knew what to do, but in case you don't and in case you want to see this so go ahead - film. It so basically start off with beautifully disgusting greasy hair. That'S the first tip! No, I'm joking! It actually does what that's up. If you have got clean hair, because then it will slip down really well. The obviously still does work if you've got greasy hair. So the first thing I'm going to do obviously is a dry shampoo. Even though we're doing a slick look, we don't want our slick, look to look greasy, so I always always dry shampoo, this and Kobes my favourite formula of dry shampoo. This is just the original one, so I like to work into the roots. I would recommend when you are washing your hair and I love using this, which is from GHD the advance split in therapy. If you're doing a really slick. Look, you haven't got extensions if you want the ends of your hair, to look really slick if you're doing a straight look, this kind of seals it all in brush this through I'm using my great length brush with it. Obviously, my extensions aren't quite grown out now. If you guys have my extensions in my head for 4 to 5 months, I think it's 5 months now, so they are actually really great out. So if you do see them, I can't really do a lot about that right now. I do need them redo it. Where I've got dark hair, it does kind of conceal it quite a bit and we're gon na backcomb a bit. I know that we're doing sleep, as I said, we just don't want it to look greasy, that's not what we want. So I do like to do a little bit of backcombing just to give me a flat hair like here. You don't be bumpy right so now that we've got that kind of shape, I actually don't have the brush. I'M gon na tell you that you will need, because I can't find everywhere honestly it's the best brush ever you can't get kind of different brands of it, but addressing a comb brush is the brush you get. If you want to do a slick. Look, it really is like a game-changing brush that would just give you that beautiful sleek look slick it down a little bit, so you can use creams for this. I really enjoy it using this gold world care, assault, control, humidity, barrier spray, so you don't really want to use a serum. You want to use more of a cream or a spray. That'S just gon na help get rid of any fluff any frizz get all those flyaways down can see. Hopefully that sleeps my hand looks and then we're gon na go in with hairspray so GHD. This is the best hairspray. For me of all time. This is the ght final fix hairspray. It is so good. So I like to spray my head with this before I put it into my ponytail and then I'm gon na take this. So this is where you would normally use your dressing comb brush. However, I just have the big dressing brush, which does work. It just doesn't work as well as the comb, so we recommend getting the comb one I'll link it below. I'M gon na be buying myself a new one because I can't find it anywhere but, as I said, because I've got this, it does still work you'll be able to see it. Just slick sit down like another brush. I wouldn't be able to do like a normal brush, wouldn't be able to give you this kind of effect, so it really always kind of in the brush out this brush you're gon na struggle to get this look right or down and then go back in with The brush we're just really gon na put like. Can you see how that gives you that slick shape here? You would not be able to get that with an over I slip down all these edges. I'M just now bring in my ponytail up a little bit. We'Re gon na do exactly the same, underneath as well get ready for your arms to ache. While you do this, I love it arm. Workout I'll, be honest. You would think that it's just really simple. Isn'T it to do a slick ponytail, just scrape it back, but actually takes a lot of work to get it looking good, so I take one thick elastic headband at first. This is so much easier by the way, if you don't have extensions, if you have blond extensions, it's near impossible to get it fully flat Mike, as you can see that I've got a bit of a bump underneath. So I'm just gon na take a bobby pin for that kind of disguise the bobby pins underneath the ponytail to get that shape and then gon na take a tiny little bit of serum like what, if they tiny, I mean tiny. You don't want a lot of this and then run it through your ponytail back in with one, maybe even two, more elastic bands. That'S you know you really want to secure this down for it to give that real slickness to it. I love how that looks. Now. Obviously, you can see here like it looks nice and slip you can see where my baby has. That right kind of gets gives me this funny shape. You can use a root cover spray if you want to for that, but you can't also cheat it with a bit of eyeshadow, so I just tried to take a dark brown shade. This is my soft glam palette. By the way, you can really use any powder that you want that kind of matches with your hair and you just literally fit in actually learnt this trick. When I went to the BAFTAs and the Charles Wellington team were doing my ponytail and I like is it kind of we fill in your and I was like yeah go Fred, didn't really know. That was a thing or that I should be doing that, but yeah. It does kind of help, give a nicer shape to your hair line, and this is before this is after. It just makes a slight difference. Norwood now you've done, and it just gives you that really nice kind of hairline shape we're just gon na hairspray that down one long time you just make sure that stays in place.
