Summer Hair Tutorial | Messy High Ponytail | Blissfulbrii

Hey guys welcome back to my channel today I have a hair tutorial for you and it is a super simple high ponytail, like this I've gotten a ton of requests to do it for you guys on my Instagram and on comments on my video. So I thought that I would do it for you guys so so simple, I'm gon na leave it at that, because this girl isn't professional, she doesn't do hair and she loves this hairstyle. I don't know why I'm talking in third person - but I just want to let you guys know that it is that easy. So it's a really cute summer hairstyle, if you guys don't like having your hair down. I love wearing my hair up lately, and this is what I've been doing so, if you're interested on seeing how I got this look then definitely keep on watching. So I love keeping connected with you guys. It'S just awesome yeah enough with this, and we will go ahead and get into this. So one of the products are going to need or items I'm sorry. It'S going to be a scrunchie hair tie and you're also going to need a bobby pin or a little clip to hide our little piece and if you want some hairspray and airbrush so I'm working on a second to third day hair right here for these hairstyles. I do like to have my hair straightened previously, my natural hair just doesn't look as cute with the hairstyle. You can go ahead and do anything you would like if your hair is curled or your natural hair, whatever go ahead and rock it, I'm sure it's going to look beautiful, but for me I just like to have it straight or have a little bit of a Curl in it or a wave, so today I have straight hair, that's 2nd to 3rd day, and I don't have my hair extensions in you can wear it for this. Look. It just depends on you, personal preference, but today I just wanted to opt out of it. Of course, when you wear it, you're gon na get a lot more volume and length and stuff. So it's just up to you. So the first thing that I love to do is obviously have my hair tight on my wrist. Just so I know it's there ready. That'S the worst feeling in the world is having your hair all ready to go up and you don't have anything to tie. I will also just kind of like tousle my hair, a little bit you'll see in this video. I don't really use anything. I really just use my hands, my hair tie and that's it. I have a mirror over there, so I'm gon na be like looking in four different directions. Sorry, but anyway, I'm just going to be like kind of tossing it getting my part. The way that I want it again, I'm not professional or anything, so this is just meant to show you guys what I like to do and just have fun with it um so yeah, if you're a professional, I'm doing something wrong. I'M sorry, but this is just the way that I like to do it. So just keep that in mind. So I'm just going to tousle everything, and this look is meant to be messy. It'S how I like it. So how I'm going to start is taking my hair half up half down like that and kind of like jostling it up into a ponytail position just like so then I'm going to bring the remainder up and just keep like running my fingers through it and just Getting it into that ponytail position, but I don't really mind if there's bumps, so I might just like go over it a few times like that, like I don't care how messy it is because that just makes a little cuter in my opinion, once I have it In the position, I'm just going to take my hair tie and tie it three times because I have thick hair and it just needs that extra hold and then once it's all like that upwards and pull. And that's: what's going to give like the volume and height of the ponytail, then I'll? Take my fingers and kind of brush out lightly the ponytail in case there's like a knot or anything, and then this is the time where I will just like fix around the ponytail, the elastic and then I will go and pull these pieces upward. So I have like more of that Messier feel yeah, I'm just gon na pull on these pieces and then, as I pull, I kind of target the ponytail too. So it gives that nice little look, don't really know, and then I get like these bumps sometimes, and it doesn't really bother me. But if you are one that doesn't want to have like that lump in the center of your ponytail, then you might want to take it down and redo it or you can just like try to maneuver it but um. For me, when I do this, I get bumps everywhere, so it's really fine. It kind of just flows. So now the next step is to pull down these pieces on the side, to frame my face and just have it look more distressed. If hair can look just dress, I don't know um, so I'm just going to start by taking these pieces down by my ear and then back here to get like a longer chunk. So now is when I will go ahead and tie the little piece around the ponytail. So it's kind of invisible and looks like your hair tied your hair up, which i think is really cute and like elegant looking. So I'm going to just take a chunk from the ponytail like that, get the rest of the ponytail out of the way, and then I'm going to take this little tail here and wrap it around, and sometimes you have to be like to do it a few Times because if it's a too thick of a band, the ponytail actually might look a little weird. Now I'm going to go in with my bobby pin and take it while I'm still holding this piece up here and then I'm going to put it through that little end piece of the hair and push it through the elastic but downwards, because if we push upwards, It'S going to come right into the like middle of our ponytail, so we want to make sure that we're going downwards. So it's going to like point into a hair tie, if that makes any sense so just like that, and that is now secured all into place. And then I just like to go back and just like pull more pieces, I make it a little bit more messy pull on some more chunks. It'S really just up to you guys. So that is how I get my high ponytails and that I've been rocking in a few videos and a lot on Instagram. I don't know it's just been a really big go-to hairstyle for me, of course, because I don't really like to do hair. It'S really simple and easy: that's like a number one, but number two is because you don't really need a lot of heat or a lot of products, and it takes you less than five minutes which I love.
