How To Do A Ribboned Ponytail Hairstyle

Hey guys my name's Chris Appleton, I'm super excited to be here with fashionista, to show you a little bit of my life and some of the looks like rate. So I'm here with the lovely Zoe and we've been creating a few iconic looks. This is now one of my favorite that I'm going to show you now because we're going to be using accessories, so I'm gon na be showing you guys at home how to jazz up a simple hairstyle. Today, it's gon na be a pony tail into something that really catches the eye and attention of others, and it's such a simple detail, but I just love how it really spices up and adds an ultimate attitude to any look. What we're gon na do is we're gon na basically put a part in the hair, I'm going to do Zoe's, hair in a side part. I think that we're really chic, so this will be more like an evening. Do so with the side part, I think always work with what side works better on your face, so sort of comb, the hair back and see really how the hair starts to fall. I can separate the hair and bring it down, and we've got here like a really cool kind of slant on the part which I quite like, especially when the head pull back tie and I'm going to use a brush and I'm gon na tie the hair in A low ponytail in the nape of the neck, once we've got the hair down in the right direction, we're just gon na secure it into a low ponytail. I'M going to use a regular elastic. You can use a bungee cord. You can use any type of elastic cord, just one. That'S going to hold the hair and with this guy's want to make sure you tie it as low as you can. So I'm going to wrap the ribbon around the hair to sort of like halfway down, but as a guideline I'm going to put in the liver elastic where I want the ribbon to stop, and it also will give me a little more grip. So now all the do is I'm gon na apply the ribbon, so we're gon na work at the root simply tie it in a knot, so we're secured at the top and then what I would do is. I would just twist that around so you can't see the knot and I'd actually leave a little straddle mind. A little stray ribbon know what we're gon na do is literally just back-to-back wrap that around the ponytail. Now it doesn't have to be super neat. You can do it in a kind of messy way, so it's not super set which is kind of more how I like to work. I don't like it too super stiff, because if it's too super stiff, it looks a bit strict but guys try this at home. I'D be so interested to see what you guys get up to with your accessories.
