Comparing Hair Extensions: Cheap Vs Expensive!

Comparing Hair Extensions: Cheap vs Expensive!

I'm trying two sets of halo hair extensions from Amazon. One set is under $10 and the other is under $90. Halo hair extensions are all about connivence, comfortability, and user friendly. So today, I'm putting them to the test on how easy each set is to put on, style and wear. In my opinion, halo hair extensions are not the most secure so they're perfect for a night out, lunch with your BFF or simply when you longer/thicker hair. Let's try these hair extensions and see what kind of similarities and differences they have.

I'M so excited for this. I've been waiting to do this for a little bit, and I found the perfect time to do. It. We're going to test out Halo, Hair Extensions from Amazon.. I got a cheaper version and a little bit more expensive version.. So in the box Andrey actually goes ,'' In the box, the most expensive in the little baggy, that's the cheap ones.''. He was right.. So in the box. This is by the brand Goo goo, and this is their 100 % Human Hair Extensions. I paid $ 81.99.. I got the 18-inch weft and in the shade light blonde. This. It actually has really pretty good reviews. Four stars, 2300 reviews. And a lot of people are saying they actually really like these for quick, easy, convenient and actually really comfortable.. So, let's open up this one right here.. So this one right here is by the brand SARLA, and this is their Dirty Blonde, Hair Extensions for Halo and $ 9.99, and I also picked up the 18 inch. And these are synthetic.. This is not real hair or Remy hair., But this one already is styled And the color it's a little bit warmer, but there's not as much dimension happening here. And you can feel a difference right away between the two.. This one is definitely a lot softer.. It feels like hair. This one definitely feels very synthetic.. It feels like something you would find on a doll or whatever not real., And it feels ,'cause. It'S very stretchy. It feels plastic-y, but it feels pretty good.. I'M actually kind of impressed with how this one actually feels.. So I figured you know what We'll put 1 to 1 on my head, we'll curl them style them with my hair., We'll see which ones are more comfortable, which ones are more inconspicuous things like that. All right.. So what you do is we're gon na go [ Andrey ], And this is the cheaper one. We'Re gon na go with the cheaper one. First. Just place it where you're gon na want it to sit.. Just tighten it. I think. You need a little comb with a little pick at the end or just something that you'll be able to basically just take your hair and bring it over.. I'D say this is the only part right here where you can kind of see the extensions.. I mean these are definitely not secure by any means., And this thing keeps sticking out. Like. I don't feel as comfortable with these. In my head ,'cause, I feel like they're, just gon na go flying. But wow. This is very, very long., But look at this. You can see a tiny little bit right there, but because it's basically transparent it just kind of looks. Like my part.. You know you can't really see it., That's the whole thing. It'S very inconspicuous. From my experience with just regular clip-in extensions. The best way to blend and make sure everything looks cohesive is to style them after the extensions are in or on your head already.. That way, you can really see where you need to go in and fix certain things or certain parts of your hair.. I'M not gon na do as many sections just because I don't wan na go up too high, because most of the length is right. Here. Wow I'm not used to such long hair. Like who are you. You know Ooh Ooh Ooh.. This is not styling good at all., (, laughs, ), Oh no., (, laughs, ), Oh no.! The synthetic extensions are not styling. All right.. So what I'm going to do? I'M going to put the more expensive ones in ,'cause I feel like. I might have an easier time blending these in just because it's real hair or they're advertising this as real hair. Yeah. These ones feel a little bit better, just because there's not as much hair versus the synthetic, so it feels a little bit lighter on my head and I feel like these might not go anywhere. You know Okay., I'm not gon na clip them in., I'm just gon na style them. But let's see this before styling. Yes., At least that's curling.. I feel like this is not gon na. Be a good look for me because my hair is so much shorter And you can really see that line.. I would definitely personally go for the 16 inch even get their 14 inch., But I do like how inconspicuous they are.'Cause the one thing with real or just clip-in extensions. They usually go up to here to get most of that volume. And the thing is, it looks so bulky if you don't have hair up here, like myself. [ Andrey ], We're observing, very interesting things. Mm-hmm. [ Andrey ], You don't think about like how's it gon Na heat, for instance, Well, you do think about that.. It'S just some synthetic like the more expensive synthetic hair extensions. They will heat a little bit better than the ones I tried here., But you do have to kind of clip them in place and really give them time to cool off, because with real hair you don't really have to wait as long to cool them off.. But with synthetic hair you really wan na give them time to really cool and set.. That'S why I do prefer real hair extensions versus synthetic.. I feel like they're a little bit easier, but synthetic does the style does last a little bit longer.. I don't know if I would enjoy having such long extensions ,'cause, I'm just so used to shorter hair.. I haven't had long hair since I was like in high school so having this much extra hair, I'm like just stressing about doing my hair in the future. ( laughs ). I think I would definitely wan na try once in my lifetime, like the hand-tied hair extensions, the ones that you have basically permanently in your hair until you take them out or you have to move them back up.. I think I would like that, but just not super super long just to see you know the process, the experience taking care of them. Do I actually enjoy this. Why do people get such long hair extensions? I just have that curiosity in my head.. I feel like that'd, be a really fun video to do. and you do need to brush this out in my opinion., But I'm just impressed that they look pretty good with the color. Like that was the one thing like dang that actually looks pretty dang good.. The way that I would do this at home, and only do this at home if you're, comfortable or just take these to your hairstylist and literally, have them put it in your hair style it and then have them, trim it just because you can really see what It looks like. If you're gon na wear the extensions curly. I would style them straight and curly or wavy, because sometimes you just wan na wear them with straight hair.. But the way I would do this at home would like I said following my natural hair cut. It especially right here to give it kind of like more of elongated, front layers. And then towards the back following this natural hair length that I have cutting some layers throughout the extensions, because that way it will blend so much better. And keeping that length. I would definitely cut at least one inch off just because my natural hair, where it ends it's not layered as much as I would want it, to be, to look really good with these types of extensions, because they're very full towards the bottom. My natural hair length., But honestly this doesn't look that bad.. You can kind of see they're extensions, but the color. That'S what's really impressing me is the color. All right.. I'M actually really impressed that. I was able to style this hair and it's looking pretty dang good with the way I want it to look.. I'M actually really impressed how easy and fast this was.'' Fast.'' Fast in terms of just literally placing it into your hair and yeah. You can't really, you can't really see it., You can't really feel it.. The only thing I'm feeling is the end right here. Well, actually both ends, I'm feeling them right here, but they're not pulling they're, not tight., I'm just literally feeling something behind my ears.. That'S the only thing I'm feeling. But otherwise, like I said, I'm very impressed with the color so far, the quality and how easy convenient.. The only thing that really took time was styling the hair.. But the thing is once these are styled. You just kind of have to do touch-ups with your natural hair or the hair extensions to make sure if it's enough wave, if it's enough curl things like that. But I'll, just keep saying it the color. It'S kind of blowing my mind that it looks pretty close to my natural hair, color. And, like I said, very easy to take out. You just kind of dig your nail or, if you don't have nails, just go back to your tool.. Oh, that feels so good. (, laughs, ), Oh man.. Oh, I feel so free.. No, I see I mean extensions are very fun, but this is what they will look like. Basically, until I give them a good wash., Just hang them up until they're, ready to use and she's good to go.. You can definitely make them work, but just the styling wise, especially these cheaper ones, are a little bit harder to style like this. One literally does not even wan na curl, it just went straight.. Another thing is they don't feel as nice and a lot of it is just shedding for some reason., The real ones they weren't shedding, and these ones just keep shedding, and it feels there's like always something on your arms., But these are definitely thicker in comparison to These ones right here, the ones that are $ 82., But I feel like I enjoyed these ones quite a lot because you could barely feel them on your head, because it's not heavy at all. These ones. You can definitely feel a lot more and I feel like I have to be a little bit more cautious of what I'm looking at and what I'm doing.. You know what I mean You can tighten these right here and I believe you can with these.. I'M not sure if you can., but you also have this extra secure these little clips right. Here. They're, not clips., They're, more of like fasteners in a way. All right, I'm gon na leave it here.. I think this is a really great option for very quick hair extensions for something that's very convenient.. You just literally place it on your head. They're, very inconspicuous.. If you're, the type of person that likes longer hair likes the convenience of hair extensions, but just those clip-in hair extensions, they're, always so tedious, especially if you have my type of a hair, it's very fine. You don't have as much hair. And the thing is. You can't really place as much hair extensions right up here, just because you can kind of see them., There's not much hair to hide those hair extensions.. I think this is the better option for finer hair. And it's definitely, I would say, a lot more comfortable., It's not as secure, but I think this is definitely for those times for like dinner, for an event that you wan na. Wear your hair down. You wan na look, you know you wan na feel fabulous with a beautiful head of hair.. You know what I mean: [ Andrey ], Glorious., Glorious yes., But yeah. Definitely, I would say either go for the professional custom, Halo, Hair Extensions or get something like this from Amazon.. I would definitely recommend these ones right, here.. I think the color is far better.. I think they blended in a little bit better, but just like with this, you do have to trim them. Or if you don't just go for a shorter section Like I said, these are both 18 inches, which is a lot of hair., But all right, you guys This was so much fun., I'm really happy. I got to test both of these out and really see the styling the process, how easy how hard, how convenient things like that., But I'm really actually impressed like I'm kind of shocked at how good these ones did, especially with the color.. I think this color also looks good, but I feel like this one looks a little bit better ,'cause, there's a little bit more dimension happening because my natural hair color is very, very there's a lot of dimension., So yeah very impressed.. All right guys I'll see you in the next one very soon., Bye. ( blows kiss )

Aurora Sky: The expensive ones were quite sparse. I was shocked that the cheaper ones actually looked better! I'd be quite annoyed if I spent that and they were that thin.

Ash Akim: The synthetic ones need to be styled with a clamp iron on the coolest setting possible and set with pin curl clips. Alternatively, you can also use steam or hot rollers.

Lea Robles: The $9 looks waaaaaaayyyy better! Color and volume wise, they blend better with your hair and look more natural.

Shelley2655: The $9 one actually look's better and is thicker.

Violet Joy: Suggestion # 1 - It would have been better to curl your hair to match up with the pre-curled $9 extensions, rather than trying to curl them with the curling iron. #2 It would be really easy to just add a little headband or accessory to cover the attachment string. #3 - For $9, those would be SUPER affordable and look totally fine for a special event or photos. All of your videos are top notch.

Natalie Ann: I feel like the cheap ones blended better with your hair color and your hair overall!!

Nancy Andrews: I think with the expensive one you'd need two to look more natural. It just didn't look that good. It was too thin, and the color, at least on my monitor, was not as close as you kept claiming it was. Very noticeable difference. The cheap one looked good right off the bat. You didn't really need to do anything to it, even though you tried.

Merilyn Made Products: As amazing as it feels to have “sewn in” hair extensions, they really damage your hair. I had mine in on and off for a few years and my hair thinned really badly and ended up with no length at all

D H T: For 80 dollars I will still consider cheap hair extensions, you should really do one of those high end ones, vs eBay quality ones

Ali Sassmannshausen: I see why some say the $9 look better. I think because they are more full, but the expensive ones in my opinion looks good for her hair type and color

Mally Makings: I’d love to see you recreate your makeup look in this. I’m going to a wedding in the Autumn and I think this makeup look would be lovely to go with my outfit. Would you share your products and how you applied? Thank you xxx

samantha campos lagunes: I loved the cheap ones. They blend better, match better with your hair color. I liked this much much better than the expensive ones!

heathcincy: I have made my own halo extension by using hair weft from a hair supply. So easy and much cheaper plus you can control how much hair and use a better hair than synthetic.

La Gatita: I had to get my hair trimmed s bot more than I wanted so might get the 14 inch ones. The only thing is it's hard to judge the color over the internet. It looks better than I would have guessed. Nice match on both. If one were to wear them daily def get the expensive one.

Meag: The synthetic actually looked better! they were so full and blended really well and the color was a perfect match

Edwina McManus: My hair is naturally longer than these extensions, yes it can be stressful to curl and style. I am impressed with how these extension looks though. I thinking of getting a lob, mich easier for me to manage.

This is Jenn: I recently tried the 20in halo from Full Shine (on amazon). It was around $60 and they do say it's 100% human hair but I'm sure it's not. Not that tab quality is terrible just that when you style it a few hairs just melt into your hair styling tools. But it does feel and look amazing. ♥️

Prim Rose: You can purchase wig clips at Sally Beauty and either sew them or glue them to the lace of the Halo to make them more secure. Also you can get thinning shears to clip out some of the hair on the cheaper halo.

Jennifer Camp: Definitely try the hand sewn weft extensions. They have changed my life!!!

Jenny Rose: I have clip in pieces of hair I wear because one side of my hair is uneven. I dyed it to match my hsir perfectly. It's cool how you can go from your lenth hair to longer for cheap these days

Robin Morelli: Your natural hair looks amazing....getting long!!!

Luanne Brown: I LOVE my long hair. Just the way it falls and feels. I wore wigs and extensions till my hair grew out long.

Ruthia Hughes: The permanent ones that are sewn into a corn row braid, are very dificult to wash and comb and get matted over time , also sleeping in them messes up their sheen and texture

Megan Hewitt: I buy the goo goo tape in hair extensions. I can't fault them. Last as long as the ones that cost £££. Absolutely love your videos. Sending love from the U.K x

April Young: I think the real hair looked more, well, realistic. The cheaper one was fuller but it looked very wiggish to me.

Rosemary Grim: Cheap looks best.

Lynn H: You look great in longer hair and like a teenager!

Robyn👽: Halo extensions will never blend in and look completely normal unless they are placed more on top to hide all the hair underneath. You’re better off with two clip in wefts so the hair blends better

Kathleen Peddell: The synthetic DEFINITELY looked to blend a LOT better than the real hair though.

Nebfronet Kiraly: Could you do the same comparison with hair toppers ? Those are best for thin/fine hair. And of course for those of us who don’t have as much hair as we used to.

Ella Peterson: my halo was 600 so i still consider 82 very cheap

Gina Palm: You look great with long hair!! Long hair is my obsession!!

lissajedi: I liked the cheaper ones better. The color looked better and it was harder to see where your natural hair ended. The expensive ones looked greasy and limp, and even after styling, you could very clearly see where your natural hair ended

T M H: With synthetic hair, it's better to try to wear them as is. Style your natural hair in the waves first, then add the keratin weave.

Terri Fromm: You look gorgeous! I so want extensions.

Victoria Fernández: Omg you look gorgeous with long hair

Nathania Astrella: Somehow...the $9 gives better look

FLAREZ •: The fake ones matches your hair color so much more if it was styled the same way I wouldn’t be able to tell their fake

gabby bove: Synthetic extensions don't ever style because they aren't real hair so it doesn't take too heat at all obvi lol . I've had that experience once when I was new to the extension game lol. This video was fun to watch though !

TheJanamal87: This was cool to see. Thank you for the video!

Carissa Annn: Personally in my opinion once you learn how to care for synthetic fiber like it better because the curl stays in better. Also a tip when your curling synthetic hair when you release the curl you need to pin it until it cools once it cools let the curl drop then it will stay.

Dian Michaelis: I watched a video about how inexpensive extensions are sourced from sewers and drains in China. The hair industry is super shady .

K Negron: More hairstyle videos!!

Katie Brown: I thought the cheaper ones looked much better. They were thicker and your natural hair blended in better.

Sheri Rego: The cheap ones have very few wears, tangles awful!!! The real hair ones last sooo much longer and can reuse. Ive tried numerous brands. Also the halo is awful. I prefer the clip ins

CheeChee: thanks mila..... youve inspired me to get get a set of extensions....

V Loy: I wish they had curly halo extensions lol

Purple Storm: The cheap one actually looked better and matched your hair

Mia Shirazi: Can you please do the same thing for clip ins as well ❤️

Jasper Niki: I liked the cheaper ones better, looks wise

Chelsea Jordan: I'm really digging that shirt!

Katrina Phillips: I purchased the Goo Goo 12 inch in October 2020; the weight (70g) is perfect for someone with fine hair. However, I'm not sure how to solve my issue with matting; sometimes it does it, sometimes not so I'm not sure what I'm doing right or wrong. Do you have any advice?

Megan Woissol: The synthetic ones looked a lot better on you. Shook

Ruthia Hughes: A darker shade underneath would probably look good too

Pearl Grant Muiznieks: Hot iron on plastic... ‍♀️

Doll: I love your hairstyle and you are very polite

Jennifer Pullen: Your thumb nail got me. I literally thought it was your real hair and I was wondering how it gotten so long in a short amount of time.

Lola Sky: Both are super noticeable with texture

JP M: I have very fine, shoulder-length hair and would love more volume. What would you suggest? Thank you!

mara ioana mihai: The synthetic ones have much volume

L K: Cheaper looks more natural

Darla Rohde: Milana your hair is beautiful all on its own especially since you have grown it so much longer! However this a great comparison video to know how real hair vs synthetic hair extensions differ! Sometimes the more expensive is better or at least until a quality dup comes along!! Oh how I miss seeing Emorett in your videos! I hope we can see an update on how much he’s grown! I bet he’s walking and talking… blessings to you and your family

Broomstick Betty: If you have short hair, it's better to go for real hair. Synthetic is going to look real shiney in the light. If your just after thickness, go for high quality synthetic that can be heat styled.

The Hybrid Gurlz: Ive been wearing synthetic wigs for 24 years you have use veryyyyyyy low heat or its gonna fry the hair and make it go straight like what happened in the video

Alyssa Krebs: Been waiting so long for you to do these

Анна Лубенкова: Интересно, а как можно купить такое? Мне понравилось, просто и легко

Anshita Mahapatra: Plz do an Indian makeup and outfit. It would be really interesting .

Emily Dean: Where do they get that much human hair???? I have always wanted to know!

Brenda O: I feel the expensive extensions were nicer

Bonnie: These are both cheap. Please take them to an actual professional to be BLENDED into your hair properly and for correct color matching.

S L: Anyone know where her shirt is from? Or a shirt similar to this one?

Luanne Brown: Ive never had sinthetic hair that curled.

Carol Driehorst: Fake hair after a while gets split ,but real hair doesn't do that so I like the real hair but the fake one did look good on her also.

ddmprecisi: I liked both of them, but I personally wouldn’t use the real human hair, God knows where they get the hair from

Ruthia Hughes: I recommend WIOOLITE cold water wash

Sheri Rego: YOu should do a halo vs extension wear test. Wear them all day and give opinion

AAA: You have naturally pretty hair. Don't ruin it by slapping fake or other peoples (Unknown Humans) hair that others will eventually be able to detect, devaluing what is actually naturally yours, making you look fake!.... Way too many women/girls are walking around with this stuff in their head and for what? They don't have cancer! They don't have balding, they don't have a medical condition, they don't have severely damaged hair they are trying to hide or they aren't a ethnicity with difficult hair, which may require such work!.... Nope, it's just to be over the top with everything, kinda of like the Kardashians!.... Good luck with all that!.....

alissa landen: I really want one of these! Thanks video

NiecyPie: Where does that real hair come from? I heard some of it comes from cadavers.

Libby HARDY: How do you pick the color?

Esha Damodaran: Hi Milabu, culd u suggest hair spray top10 and nt that expensive and easily avble on Amazon

Chris Austin: Cheaper looked much better

Stellamaris Kamau: Style your hair first before wearing the extension

cami: lmao the cheap ones looking way wayyy better

PICKLE MARZ: Why would you try to curl synthetic hair? It's plastic. You'll pull the curl out permanently.

Cari Vega: Traducción en español

Magan Evans: Would love to have long hair but I hv fine and thin hair. I wonder what the halo hair would look like.

Mrs. Sanchez: Where’s your shirt from?

Mel R: Neither of them have my hair coulour. (Light copper blonde) :(

Ruthia Hughes: Synthetic are too thick at the ends , should taper down

Luanne Brown: Your going to put heat on the sythetic? Its not going to really curl. Im sure you know the heat must be low. Lol...but im sure you know what you are doing. Lol...all you can do..on low, is straighten the hair. Cant curl it.

MonaHerSelf: I hate how googoo is out of stock completely

Debbie Mason: Wow those extensions look good..just an observation when your husband talks..it’s a little annoying because I don’t think he has a microphone..IAm interested in what he has to say

mallory bell: where’s your shirt from?

Dalia Cohen: Do they have real curly blond long hair?

Kris Garrison: WHY EVEN WEAR THEM. ALL THAT WORK FOR JUST A LITTLE MORE LENGTH.

Donald Tramp: Wait I thought white women didn’t wear weave?? I’m confused!!

Jerez Ana: You make it look difficult to curl the long hair, as if you cannot manage it

Vanessa E: Necklace link please

Anita7702: Like the synthetic much better on you
