Hey everybody welcome back, it's Michele, bringing you a quick and easy tutorial on how to make a scrunchie using a hair tie and a serger. You can either use a knit or woven fabric for this. For this tutorial I went ahead and use a knit scrap. So go ahead and cut out a 4 by 18 inch ranked angle and grab your hair time fold the rectangle in half and we're going to want to focus on stitching the length of this rectangle, but leaving an opening on either end. So in between my fingertips. Now take your hair tie and sandwich it in the fold of the rectangle so to easily turn the tube of this scrunchie. What I like to do is use the serger tail for this, so pull out a long surgery tail make sure to tuck it in the fold of the rectangle and start surging. Remember we're going to be starting off about an inch and a half from the top when we're starting to search as you're searching making make sure that you're tucking in the serger tail and the hair tie in between the folds of the rectangle. As you're approaching the last inch and a half of this rectangle, you will be surging off and clipping off that serger tail, that you just searched, go ahead and start pulling gently that serger tailed that you sandwiched in between the fold of the rectangle, and it should Start turning this tube of fabric inside out next step is to surge. These short ends of the rectangle right sides together making sure that same sides match, and the last step is to close up this opening left, which we will use an invisible stitch or letter stitch to close up this opening without any seams showing and once we're finished. With this we are all done, and none of the same should be seen at all and you've just made a scrunchie easily quickly with the serger and a hair time. Thank you guys. So much and I'll see you guys next time you
