Janet Collection Natural Drawstring Ponytail | Wavy | Dream Choice Long | Protective Style

Hey it's your girl, SHINee and today we're gon na be doing a simple, quick and easy drawstring ponytail, and when I tell you you can do it in five minutes I mean, maybe even less than five minutes. So if you're interested stay tuned, so here's the items that you'll need to complete this look. So I am working on two day old, hair, so relatively freshly washed and we are going to be working with the Janet collection and the style is new dream choice. Long in the color 1b - and this is a drawstring ponytail so to get started - we're going to just switch out here with some water and then we're going to apply some gel, I'm using eco styling gel but feel free to use whatever your favorite gel is and Go ahead and apply that so next we're going to smooth our hair with a brush. I prefer a hard bristle brush just to make sure that everything is nice and smooth, and then we're going to use a ponytail holder to put our hair in a low ponytail and not too low, but not too high either. So next what you want to do is divide the hair in the ponytail into two sections and pin one section away. Then, with the other section, you want to go ahead and begin to put it in a two strand twist and then once that one's done. You'Ll repeat the same thing with the other section of hair and then you'll take both two strand twists and twist it around each other, so that it forms a nice tight, bun and then you'll tie it off with a ponytail holder now for the fun part. It'S time to attach our drawstring ponytail. So the first thing I like to do is just comb it out a bit so that it loosens up the waves and makes it look a little bit more natural and then just a few details about the drawstring ponytail. It does come with two combs and then that drawstring, so what you want to do is attach the top comb in the top of your bun and then you'll go ahead and position the bottom comb in the bottom of your bun and then pull your drawstring very Tightly and what I like to do, is I like to wrap the drawstring around the ponytail and your bun just to add a little bit more security to the drawstring ponytail, and then I pin it away with a bobby pin or hair pin now this next step Is optional, but if you want to add this part, you can. What I like to do is take a piece, a nice-sized piece of hair from the back part of the ponytail, and I like to comb it out and then wrap it around the bun. Just to disguise the drawstring that we wrapped around earlier, if it isn't already disguised most of the time it is, but in case it's not. This is a nice option and I, like this particular look. So what you'll do is just put a few hair pins and that just to make it secure and then another fun part is always, of course, laying those baby hairs. So what I like to do is just use somewhere in my gel and then a baby hair brush and go ahead and lay those baby hairs. Just to add that nice touch to the final look, so there you have it like.
