Hey everybody and welcome back. I am starting by removing our honesty towel. If you do not know about our honesty, microfiber towel, i just want to let you know that it is really amazing. It creates like less friction in the hair, helps prevent breakage. It promotes moisture retention and it cuts the dryer time in half. I always tell people that it's better to use a microfiber towel, because cotton towels do the same thing: that cotton scarves do it's just very drying and it literally, i don't know if you've ever washed. Your hair and used a towel and you felt like it, was just pulling a strand or two at a time. You know what i mean you can avoid a lot of that with microfiber towels, so just check it out at i'm deepening hair.com and we are about to add a new color this week. So here we are, we have my cousin nate in the chair and they popped up on me for her birthday. Like cousin. I need my hair done, i'm like all right girl. I got you and you know she wants to get a ponytail for her bowling party. So that's what we are going to do and you know we not giving her just any pony. We gon na give her a payback pony if you are not familiar with our new payback ponytail i'll, put the link below for you to watch the first video where i introduced you guys to the payback, ponytail and you'll understand the story behind the name. So i put some satin shield heat protectant in her hair to start this blow dry, as you see now, when you are blow drying, if you blow dry and you see a little bit of smoke like how you see here, what that is is it is a Little bit of conditioner on the hair, or it's a buildup now sometimes, if you ever notice, when you get braids, when you take those braids out, you end up with uh some buildup on hair. You might go blow-dry like. Why is it smoking here at the shop when it's smoky, like that? We, like oh smokey, robinson's here so so i can see y'all nailing your bathroom when they start smoking blue dry hair, like all the smoky robinson, is up in here so um. You know if you are wearing your hair out, build up or conditioner left on the hair a little bit. Even a tiny bit of conditioner left on the hair will weigh the hair down. I get a lot of questions in the comments like how do you get the hair to be so flowy and full of body, and it's literally if there you have to have no buildup on hair, it cannot be any build up. It can't be any extra conditioner on the hair, because what will happen is it'll, weigh it down and that wrap will be stiff and we want our hair moving and flowing in the wind. You know what i'm saying won't want our hair getting stiff till about five days in when the natural oils come from the scalp. So if you want to start with your hair flow, you have to make sure that you rinse that conditioner out really really well and if you had a protective style before that and it's hard to get that um. If it's hard to get that build up off. Try a good clarifying shampoo. We have a clarifying shampoo um, it is called the detox bath and conditioner, and it will take everything off that is left on the hair that you can't seem to get off with a regular moisturizing shampoo. Okay, so we just went through that blow dry and, as you see her hair is nice and shiny is full of sheen. Just from shampoo and conditioner. We use the first class to morocco, shampoo and conditioner on day to day, and now i have to show you her ends. So nae has not been able to get her hair trimmed for a while, because her stylist was on maternity leave and her ends are really gangsta and, as you see on the left side well on the right when you're right um actually was my right too. So i was just you know, my other right. So on the right side, you see it's super thin, really high up, and so i'm talking to her and i'm like nate. What are we going to do here? Because you know sometimes you have to really sit down and talk to the client, because everybody doesn't want to cut their hair right away. So we could either cut it super high up, um just to make sure that that right side was super heavy or we could just gradually do it. So we opted to gradually do it. So the right side is going to stay a little on the thinner side and we are just going to try to even that out now today. As always, i am using my shears from her strands of hair dot com and i am just going row by row. This time, instead of doing all of her hair at one time, because i just want to take a little closer look at this hair and just make sure that everything is going well within there um. As you see you see their their right side is just really sparse, but it's okay, because we're going to get it back and we're going to get it back fast. Okay, now we're just going to go in and hit those sides and go towards the face frame. Um you can, when you're trimming the front just always either if you're cutting your own hair, you can make a decision for yourself, but just communicate with the client and just say you know, would you like to go a little higher? I realized that a lot of times with the client's hair - it's a lot thinner in the front or it's just naturally shorter than the back, maybe like a one out of every 75 people. Their hair is the same exact length in the front than as in the back. It'S like that's, usually very uncommon, so you are more than likely going to always have to create some type of frame for the face or make that front at least as heavy as it is in the back. So now that we have done the trim i am going in and i am going to start this mold to put nae's hair up for her payback pony so yeah, it's not easter sunday, but we are going in with the hot comb, and i know that a Lot of you are traumatized by hot combs in your childhood baby. Listen, i got some stories from my childhood that would make you wonder why i ever even picked this thing up again, but some things just work and i do, however, have something coming for those who do not like fooling around with the high comb and trust me. I do understand that because you, the hot corn works, but you have to know how to work it. You know what i'm saying you just can't anybody can't just come at you with those with those high teeth: okay, because it will start a fight. So as long as you know how to work a hot comb, the hot comb will work for you um, but i'm just doing that because i'm old school - and you know i just like using what i like to use now today, i'm using the murray's wax and I'M using it in black, yes, maurice has black wax. If you watch my channel you've, probably seen it pop up and make a make a um appearance once or twice on my channel i'll, just use this wax for people who have a thinner edge because it just adds. You know that's what it what you think it does. It just adds a little little um off to your edges. Um. You know it just darkens it so where you would usually see your skin being bright, where your edges are. You know that black wax will just kind of camouflage that, for you, and just you know, make it not as obvious now, although her edges are not thin in the back, you can also use that black wax all the way around or you can switch it up. I just think that is good to use the same thing all throughout the hair, because it stays consistent, um the cool thing about wax. Is it's not water-based? Now, a lot of gels that we use are water-based and when you put it in the hair, you wonder why your hair getting wavy or it's curling up or it's reverting after the blow dry or after the press. And that's because a lot of gels and and just slicks are um water-based. So if it's water-based, that means that it's putting that moisture back into your hair and not necessarily in the way that you want it so wax is just you know: it's wax base, so it lays differently and it does not revert to hair. So that's my favorite thing about that. So yeah, i'm just using a ponytail holder, as you know, with no metal um clasp, we are never using ponytails. Here i mean we are never using rubber bands. Here you will never see a big white rubber band on this channel or big cream rubber band on this channel when it comes to putting a ponytail in because rubber and hair do not mix, and that's all i got to say on the subject: okay, we just Please just use ponytail holders guys you can, even if you want to find something outside of this, but just try never to use rubber beans in an emergency whatever but girl. No, then, in the background you can see ashley using some remy velvet. If somebody bore some remy velvet in for their hair, i don't know if they was getting a bob or something, but man remy velvet is so good, like do y'all. Remember that do y'all still use it. Talk to me like, what's up, are you with the hype? Oh, i did her her baby hair and i forgot to film that y'all, i'm sorry and right now, i'm putting um i'm putting xanax on her hair, which is basically like a paper scarf to hold her hair down. While i add her ponytail on but i do want, i want to talk to y'all about um, hair brands and stuff, but wait till we get to the part where we're putting the ponytail on, because i got ta walk y'all through this right now, but yeah. I'M just putting the sand excellent, and i am just laying her down with that, and this is the packaging for the payback pony. It is basically a satin garment bag and it keeps your ponytail nice and conditioned when you are not using it. You just put it away real cute and store it. You know um, so just unzip it down the front, and today we are using the ponytail in the texture kinky, and you know we are going with the longer version of it. But it's not really as in focus as i want it to be, because it's focusing on a instead of on the ponytail, but you'll see the texture really well, once i install it now for nay. I know we talked about this in the last payback pony video, because i was explaining to y'all that when i install a ponytail that i like to put the hair in the bun, unless i just need the hair to blend but because nae's ends are going through. Something, and not as much so as when she first came in. I just want her hair to lay within that ponytail and just chill. I don't want to like braid it up and put it in a bun and then put the combs of the ponytail within the bun. I rather just lay her hair out smooth and let it chill within the middle of the payback ponytail. So, as you see, i am using a different color, 22 titanium. Today i always got my um signature royal purple irons with me, but today i'm using smoke and mirrors because it is the one that is in stock right now. You guys brought all the all the signature royals, you bore all the purple irons, but they will be back in stock this week, but right now the smoke and mirrors in stock and a lot of people don't just love purple black is so universal and fly, and Sexy so i always had to make sure that one day we added black. So this is the color smoke and mirrors that i'm using to press nays ponytail today and they are available on the site. Deeperhair.Com. So go ahead and get you one if you want it but yeah. Let'S talk y'all like what's good like do. Y'All use um virgin hair when y'all get your hair in um and when you get extensions in your hair or do you you know, go ahead and go to the hair store. I just feel like, depending on the style and how long you want to keep it going to the hair store and getting packed hair is, is still cool. It'S still a vibing, don't let nobody talk you into it and if you especially don't have the funds, because where'd your hair be getting expensive, y'all like it, it ain't just like 90 to 100, a bundle, no more it'd be getting real. So i understand if you want to just do a little quick little swoop to the hair store. You know saying so, but i love um remy velvet and i remember goddess: remy used to be so fire like i. I love that stuff so anyway. So now i'm putting the ponytail in. As you know, the payback pony has two combs one at the beginning of the ponytail and one within the middle, and that is for extra stability for their hair. Once you put those things i put both of those combs into nai's ponytail holder, and then i just wrapped that velcro strap to make it stick and all i have to do is put a little holding spray and that's optional on that last strip. That'S remaining and i am going to use that to conceal that base. Okay, so i i mean i know it went a little faster today, but that's literally how fast the payback pony gets installed and it's secure. And you know a lot of people sell ponytails like this, but nobody has a ponytail with two combs and four ounces of hair like us, so i'm just telling you like them. Two combs is a vibe. It'S a vibe! It'S something that you never know you needed until you had it, i'm also not a fan of using hair pins. If i don't have to, i just basically wrap it until i can't wrap it no mo um. I know that's not everybody's cup of tea, so if you need pens, go ahead and use them, but me i just use holding spray in the wrap method, um just and i'm just trying to make sure that as neat as possible with the comb and now they Wants a little bit of the texture taken out, and i thought that was kind of smart too, because it didn't necessarily match her hair completely. So i'm just going to take the bulk of that texture out by just using my 22 titania again to flatten a little bit of those crimps out. But me when i wear mines with my hair. I just i basically um i mold my hair up without pressing it, so i just mold it up in this natural texture and then i put this kinky ponytail on and it matches very very well. So you know it's up to you what you want to do, how you want to do it, and you know you can press this kinky ponytail out and once you wash it, those kinks will come back. So you have options. So again, it's up to you. Do whatever you want, i like this ponytail. It just reminds me of i'm about to talk about the hair store, again y'all, but it just rem reminds me of back in the day when you go to the store. Like i get some yaki hair, you remember: yaki, hair, um, yankee hair was the heaviest one or you could get permed yaki, which was a little tiny bit um straighter than the heaviest, which was just straight up. Yucky but yaki hair was some serious hair and i loved it because i felt like it always matched my hair the most and it was the heaviest and you didn't have to get as many packs to make it. You know your hair full, so that was a that was a hack back in the day. You know said so now that i'm taking the strips off make sure you take the strips off in the direction that the hair is going, because you don't want to mess up. Your pretty mold that you created and may's hair is pretty much done. Her payback pony is on and i'm just pulling these strips off. You know she got her little swoop-de-loops in the front. We'Re using some glass brain shine to make sure that it's shiny, because one thing about wax. It does give kind of like a dull finish. So you want to make sure that you add, you know some oil back in to make their hair shine and nae's hair is pretty much complete um today we used, i think we used what what length did we use today? Oh, it's definitely the 26 inch and then lifting it up. I see it's definitely the 26 inch they come in 18 and 26. So this is the kinky one and 26. and nate is done. You know shake your little hair name, they don't play she's like she's. I'M keeping my mask on and i'm not showing my face and i'm not messing with your subscribers. No, she ain't seen it, but yesterday's done she's going headed out to do her thing for her birthday and have a good time, and i just want to thank you all again for always watching my channel. You know y'all mean the world to me and i will see you next time make sure you subscribe. Send it to a friend, see you next time. Bye,

Marie Rey: I love how your hair can be in the worst shape, and she never makes you feel bad about it. You leave with a healthy head of hair. She is the best of all the professionals on YouTube.

Kaydasia Brown: The way she touches the hair...so gentle I love how she is so informative...keep doing your thing queen

Mary Perry: Like she says, “ heat isn’t the enemy. Lack of knowledge is”. I’m someone who doesn’t like my hair in it’s curly state anymore and my hair is thriving. Cut in a bob in December, in the middle of my shoulder blades now‍♀️

Khalilah D.: I stopped putting heat on my hair two years ago and it was the BEST decision ever. My ends stopped breaking off and my curls have never been better. Even if you like putting heat on your hair just try to do it less frequently to see a difference

stephi marie: May not have been able to get that Signature Royal, but I sure am happy I purchased her Smoke n Mirrors flat iron...LADIES support this Black woman and her business bc quality and professionalism are something we all want to pay for when supporting any business and it cannot go unnoticed that this channel provides both. #supportblackWOMEN (all year round)

T Mom: It's about the talk-over for me. Always informative and entertaining! That ponytail is everything!!! Thanks for sharing your talent with us!!

alexis hamilton: I can watch your videos all day. Always informative and open for questions. I love how gentle you are with each client and how you explain each detail in your process of hair care. KEEP IT UP QUEEN! An abundance of love & support from the 215✊

the asg ent: Hello! I just want to say that I watch you all the time. I never comment but I just passed both of my state board test and am now a licensed cosmetologist!!!! Thank you so much for giving such great advice and tips

Ash: This makes me miss going to the salon. It's hard to find a stylist who will be as patient and gentle with my hair as I am.

chardvnnay: I'm a stylist that didn't have any curly hair education in school (like many other stylists) and you always give the best tips. All my curly hair clients love my presses and I think it's because I've learned so much watching you.

Ava Holloway: You and your spirit mean the world to me! There is so much craziness going on but that disappears while I'm watching every episode. ✂

Debbie B: I love how your clients are so happy to have you work on their hair.

Lucie Ciepka: Hey, I just wanted to say thank you! I have a live long history of “neglecting” my hair. Now my daughter is having the same hair type and I’ve decided I will change this. So for the last few months every evening before my bedtime story, I would brush her hair with a soft brush and just sing a lullaby and the results are mind blowing. She has long curls now and also the big forehead is starting to reduce. Thank you for opening my eyes. I was on the way of creating for my daughter the same stigma I have.

Rosey F.: *"Don't over think it."* I truly enjoy watching your videos, especially seeing the joy you give your clients. #veryrelaxing #veryinformative

OrenjiOrange: When I used to go to a stylist they would never give me the option of taking a thinner hair out slowly, it was always they would decide on cutting my hair, never just trimming. You are the first one I have heard that has given this option, thanks for listening to your clients.

Jan Williams: Going to your salon has got to be a magical experience ❤️

Denise: My ears started tingling soon as I seen that hot comb come out . I remember when we were younger, my sister called herself hot combing her hair. She did not detangle her hair, nor did she tap the hot comb on a towel when she took it off the stove. Babyyy she ran that comb through a chunk of hair and it burned clean off!! Hair dropped straight to the floor Kids… lol

Stephanie Tyty wise: Yes she needed a trim bad girl.. But you killed it, as always.. always give your hair a good detox cut because them ends isn't not needed.. You're cutting skills are very much on point I love it love it love it.

Ayala-j: Easter Sunday with hot combs and you brought back memories. My grandma when she would hot comb my hair and I tried to put my hand on my hair she would hit me with the brush. I was tender headed. My favorite hairstyle

Alexis Carter: Definitely agree heat is not at all the enemy. For years, I flat ironed my hair every other week and it was almost to my waist. I had to cut a bit off (trim girl, trim ) and in the meantime wore my hair naturally and had the worst fairy knots and felt like I lost more of my ends there then I ever did when I had it stretched and flat ironed. With some heat protectant spray, deep conditions and moderation, our hair can still strive.

Malaysia Gipson: I love this concept. I remember you saying another company had tried to steal your concept. I literally got an email alert from a hair company that pretty much has the same concept and meant to reach out to you yesterday about it.

Azia Zhane: You always handle the hair with so much care and love stylist like you are really appreciated you can definitely tell you’re passionate with what you do! I love to see it

Iridian Fernandez: I use a nickel size drop of Dawn dish soap along with my regular shampoo once a week to clarify my hair of all the hairspray and oil I use. Works great!

Courtney Comer: Remy does the job quick when its needed , I know how the girls like to tussle over bundles some things are still good in the store ladies , don't sleep love this channel . You know BLACK HAIR CARE, ESPECIALLY IN PHILLY lol we don't play with it. I love a hot comb as well, flat irons can't do everything

Natalie 'MsCrzySxyCool' Harris: Hey Queen-Sister ❤️ When I see you use a hot comb I can tell you some horror stories about a burned nape, ear tops and forehead. I'm surprised I'm not scarified from those burns. HATED IT!! Had to get hair washed, greased then under the hooded dryer. WOO CHILE!! Then the ultimate torture of the hot comb Sitting in the kitchen, draped in a bath towel...my Mom would blow the hot comb, wipe it on the draped towel then start with the tiny neck hair. I'd hear that 'bacon frying' sound from that Afro Sheen pressing grease and I'd jump because of my nerves and I'd get burned. Of course I'd start to cry. Nah my Mom didn't console me she just gave me a minute to calm down then proceeded. Your client mos def needed that trim. It makes a world of difference doing so. I'm digging the ponytail. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

69jmee: I was finally able to buy one of your flat irons!!!!! And I love the black, I can NOT wait to get it and use it on all my girls.. Thank you for sharing your passion with us your work is phenomenal… I am a fan for LIFE…

Find My Soul Garden: Yay!!! The Payback is back!!! I appreciate your humorous commentary's! They always put a smile on my face! Happy Birthday to your cousin!! ✌️✌️

Penny Anderson: Kee, the world needs more people like you. I can tell you’re a really really good person and I just started watching your videos.

Patience Orlando: Great video as usual! Two questions: 1. Can you show a lob hair cut where the front sides are longer than the back? 2. Can you show a press using the Brazilian Botox or Keratin treatments on the hair. Thanks so much!

Royal Blue: These videos are so amazing & I love how she explains as she does everything

Kings Mom831: When the Queen uploads, you drop what your doing and watch!

Krystal Russell Rollie: And remember guys, wax is also not water soluble so you WILL need to clarify your hair during your next shampoo in order to get that residue OUT. I’d recommend using it on special hairstyles and definitely not every day.

Dheeksha Bhima Reddy: I am not a black woman, nor do I have curly hair. But dang, I absolutely love watching your videos and I feel like I am learning so much

Joifully Natural: NOT Smokey Robinson! When I worked in the salon and someone sprayed a client at the shampoo bowl, we’d either say we took them to Splashtown or WaterWorld (former water parks here in Houston) Thanks for making me laugh and making me think of those memories.

Toi Dean: I get sleepy watching your videos. You truly have a gift not only as a hairdresser but also ASMR.

Tabetha Ray: Man you just make everything look easy. You're amazing.

Keitha Moore: Those edges though!! I wanted to see that part so badly cause my edges are thin like that. Thinner actually so I'm still learning how to lay them. Everything came out beautifully. ❤

Kelley Cornwell: Thank you , my love , for the amazing job that you do. Menopause is destroying my hair, so I took the plunge and did the big chop to get my hair healthy. Watching your videos has helped me so much. I am relearning how to care for my hair. Thank you!

Cara M: Beautiful results as usual I definitely have to get some of the black Murray's wax, so I'm ready when my grey comes in ☺️

eliserachelle05: It came out so pretty (as always!). ❤️❤️

that girl in okc: I was raised using a hot comb. It’s not for everyone but I love the results more than a flat iron

Carla W.: Beautiful style and beautiful model! I love that you educate us, give us a stroll down memory lane and give us a laugh ❤

Monica Rayford: I love your videos! Just did a press my daughter's hair after watching your videos a thousand times. And clipped her ends after watching your video on how to clip ends. I feel like a professional lol I really appreciate your videos.

Judi S: I grew up using the hot comb. It got the job done with no heat damage. Lol… Loved the look of her pony! Please show us how you styled her thin edges. They looked GOOD! Tfs!

Dell Dell: I always love when you post videos!!! You drop some dope content with bomb music but also product knowledge and hair care STAY AMAZING LOVE!!

Vixinaful: Oh man, ya wanna hear about build up? I worked at a salon where we had a customer who didnt wash in between cuts so he came in all greasy. We had to use (I shit you not) detergent on him. Yup YES liquid detergent for three rounds before we could use a regular shampoo and it was *still* greasy after that. But the guy was a real sweetheart with mental issues so we couldnt say anything.

Steph Walker: I love your method of starting the base of a ponytail. I see others use 799 products and at the end the hair look so stiff and hard . great job

Sholanda Daniels: Shoutout to you for actually taking care of her hair and not just asking her to come blow dried and slapping a ponytail in her head! Bless you sis♥️

Joanna Shantè: I just need everything to be back in stooooock!!!! Love you and the channel! You are so inspiring and informative!

Marneen Carter: “Yaki-permed Straight”…..That was my go to for the “Assymetrical” I used to rock! Love the pony!

fine9ja: I haven't seen you use Murphy wax in a minute. I love the pony. It's on my list of items to purchase too on your website. Thank you for always providing education in your videos.

Vena: I definitely gotta get me a couple few Payback Ponytails. #1 because I know I'm keeping my money in my community. #2 you're a licensed cosmetologist. I've seen your genius at work.

It is the ONLY edge control that I have tried that does not make my edged whit after using for a few days in a row! I won't use anything else now. Thank you for the suggestion

LaLa Black: My cousin sent me a text a few years ago and asked me to press her hair since my granny passed. She said "only you can press like granny"...

Seleema Roberts: I just love how she does hair. I would love for her hands to bless my hair. Very thin hair and edges but I feel she would make my hair look so much better in a bob. I am natural but I like to switch up and when I go straight u see all the thinness but baby when the curls are in you will never tell it’s just the way she touches your hair makes it seem like God has his hands on hers while she does her work. So knowledgeable keep up the amazing work. ✊
