How To Do A High Ponytail With Clip In Hair Extensions

Hey guys great to have you back or if you're new here welcome today, i'm showing you how to do a high ponytail by using clip in extensions. This is the type of hair extension i have, and it has these clips that just pop closed and open. So if you have any of these and wonder how you could use them in a ponytail in a way that the clips won't be showing this video is for you, so you need a couple of wefts of clip in hair extensions, a rat tail comb, a regular Hair brush two hair, elastics and bobby pins. First, i'm starting out simply by brushing my hair first, i'm sectioning the sides, and then i decided to section a bit more hair from the crown area. I'M leaving the side and the crown sections on both sides of my head and then i'm going to focus. On the back of my hair, i use my fingers to section of a round shaped area right where i want my ponytail to sit, and i am simply putting that section of hair into a regular ponytail. Now i have this funny looking ponytail in the back of my head, but this isn't the finished. Look now it's time to work with the hair wefts, and i'm choosing this one with three clips on it and first i'm making sure to open the clips and give it a simple brush. I place one of the side clips right on top of my base ponytail and attach the clip on the root of the base ponytail. Next, i'm wrapping the hair weft around the base, ponytail and clipping right along the way. Now you have this funny, looking a little bit thicker bace ponytail on the back of your head and next it's time to take another weft of hair and repeat the process. So i am using this one with four clips. I start the application right where i felt like the last weft ended and then repeat the process, so i'm wrapping the weft around the base ponytail and clip the clips along the way. This is how the application looks from the side in case this is helpful for some of you and again i have this a little bit. Thicker base ponytail going on, looks funny, but this is just what i wanted and i'm giving it a quick brush. So i decided that these two hair wefts are enough extensions for me. So i decided to proceed to work with the hair sections that i separated from the sides and the crown area of my head and, of course, under the base. Ponytail. And what i like to do is to section a part of my hair on the front of my head and give it a slight tease to give it a bit more volume. I begin by brushing the remaining hair around the base ponytail. Basically, i am brushing all the remaining hair around the base, ponytail with the extensions and securing it with another regular hair elastic here, i'm smoothing out some flyaways and also pulling a couple of bits to give my hair a little bit of volume. And now you have your basic high ponytail with clip in hair extensions and, as you can tell, the clips are fully covered by the hair that we brushed over the base ponytail. What you can do to make this style a little bit. Cuter is to separate a piece of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the regular hair, elastic and, of course, secure it with a bobby pin or two and preferably under the ponytail, so the bobby pins won't be showing and here's the finished look.
