Hey Beauty!
Hair extensions are great for long, thick, volumized hair when wearing it down BUT they are also great for updos including the simple Ponytail!
In this video, we show you a tried and true Salon secret!
Creating a ponytail with hair extensions is really easy and once you get the hang of it, your ponytail will be long and thick!
What you need:
1. Hair Extensions: To create the long, thick pony we show you in this video, you need hair extensions. This can be any type of hair extension - highlights, one piece or pieces from a full set.
2. 2 Hair ties (hair bands)
3. Flat Iron
4. Hair spray (for fly aways!)
5. Smoothing gloss
How to:
1. Decide first where you would like your pony (a high pony vs a low pong for example)
2. Create the base of your pony by creating a small pony with the crown of your hair.
3. Open the clips of your hair extensions and clip them into the base of the pony. Make the teeth of the clips are facing the ponytail. Clip in your clips into the base while wrapping the extensions around the ponytail.
4. Once you've added all your extensions, tie the rest of your hair up into a pony tail around the first pony you did.
5. If your hair is short or wavy, it is best to blend your extensions by either flat ironing your hair and the extensions together or curling them together. This way, your ponytail looks flawless!
6. Add hairspray and smoothing gloss to finish!

Hi beauties: this is Sam from instant Beauty in this video. I'M going to show you how to make a long glamorous ponytail with extensions extensions, are great for adding length and volume to your hair when it's down, but they're, also great for adding thickness to other styles. Like ponytails, I'm going to share with you guys a great stylist secret on how to apply hair extensions and make a ponytail with them for the technique that I'm about to show you guys you can use any type of hair extension. You can use long thick, hair extensions that you already own. You can use colored, hair extensions. It doesn't matter what length it is, but for the one we're gon na make today, I'm going to be using 18 inch length, hair extensions, I'm going to be using pieces from a full set 150 gram full set that we have at instant Beauty. But you can use any extensions that you already have. The first step is to decide where you want your ponytail to sit on your head, and then you have to create a base. So I'm going to part my hair at the crown and then make a small ponytail, so I've created my small ponytail kind of like a square shape. It doesn't have to be perfect because it's going to be hidden now and we are applying the extensions we want to make sure that the clips are all open and ready to go. We have to start with the center clip and place it right at the base of the ponytail that we have created. Then you have to wrap them around and clip them in so after the first step. This is what it looks like I'm going to be applying three more of these to create the thick long, ponytail and check in with so now just eight weeks since things are in and we have to cover them. So we have to bring our own hair up around it, okay guys! So now I have a long ponytail. What I need to do is straighten or blend in the extensions and my own hair, because I have a lot of layers. They show a little bit, but I'm just going to use a straightener and flatten them. So that's what it looks like and then finally you just add some hairspray to tame any flyaways that you may have and you are done so. Thank you guys.
