Hey guys welcome back to my youtube channel, it's kayla. Today'S video is going to be a tutorial on this hair look, and this is using my iron hair, lola ponytail. You guys really did love my previous tutorial with my inhair shayla ponytail that they reached out to me again and asked if i would like to do another video using a new hair product. So i picked out the lola ponytail. It is 17 inches long in case you're wondering the length and what it would look like on your head. It is pretty much like the shaler ponytail, although it is a different texture, so it does have that velcro strip with the extension on the end. So you can wrap it around the ponytail to really hide it well, and it does have that teardrop shape to it. Although on it does give me a lot of like 70s vibes, inhere did give me a discount code for you guys to use. So if you'd like some coin off, then you can use the code. It'S kayla i'll. Have it right here in the video and also in the description bar down below? I picked out another ponytail, because the shayla ponyta is synthetic as well as this one. So it is heat resistant. However, if you do apply heat to it, it will lose its shape. They don't guarantee that it will stay the same. So i really didn't want to use that beautiful wavy texture that i could use on a curly day to just have some length to my ponytail. So i picked out a straight ponytail that i could use when my hair is straight slick back and i just need some extra length. You know. So if you guys are interested in how i get this pony then and just keep watching so i'm starting off by parting, my hair, i'm taking out the bangs in the front. Well, not really bangs, i don't have bangs, but the faux bangs that i want to bring out to the front to add a little bit of sass. Then i'm going to take some hairspray and spray that ish down girl. We want it all the way down. The reason why i'm not using gel is because gel tends to look goopy and i feel like because of the texture of gel it'll, make my waves come out more like my curls come out more, so it won't be that slick straight as it would with some Hairspray problem is being a curly girl. It'S really hard for me to find hairspray that won't make my curls come out and keep it super slick to where you know you can just get that nice, like extremely extremely slick hairstyle, but i'm trying my best, i'm adding as much hairspray as i can to Make it as slick as possible, but again if i could find a hairspray that does an amazing job. Don'T get me wrong. This hairspray is amazing, but i want a hairspray that just like gives me that, like wet super straight look now i'm taking a liga and i'm just going to tie up my hair in a ponytail in a high ponytail and i'm smoothing out any areas with my Brush uh, i forgot what kind of brush this is, but it's one of those two-sided. I think i've mentioned this before it's two-sided: uh board, bristle, brush board bristle brush that is softer on one side and more dense on the other side. So you can get a really slick slick, look with that brush and i'm just going to go over it any areas that are bumpy, i'm going to go over it now to apply the ponytail like i said it does have that extension on the side and the Clip at the base of the ponytail, so you want to take that clip and apply it at the top of where your ponytail starts and start wrapping around that extension on the side around the velcro, and this is something what i used to do would um. I would bobby pin this down as soon as i clipped it in and then wrapped the extension around the ponytail. But today i decided to try it out and see if i could do it without the bobby pin, because i feel like the bobby pin adds a little bit of extra weird bumpiness that i don't need. So i am wrapping this around as tight as i can. But also i need it to be on the base of my hair because otherwise it'll just fall right off. You don't want that. You don't want it to fall right off. So, yes, just try it to tie it as tight as you can, but also make sure that it has some structure. Then i'm going to bobby pin that because you know you got ta bobby pin it. I did add a couple extra bobby pins on the top of my head to kind of keep it up because it does tend to fall down because the piece is kind of heavy. So just be aware of that um you could probably use hairspray but yeah. It was, as you can see right here. I was messing with it. I did put in some bobby pins to try to keep it up, but it didn't fully stay up the way i wanted it to, but it still looked great. The last thing i did was go over with some more hairspray and i didn't show this, but i did go over it with my brush one more time to smooth it, and that is how i got the sleek ponytail girl.
