At for fandoms TV shows, video games and many more remember to follow me on cosplay amino and tech, us a cameo key challenge in your posts, so I can leave a nice comment on it too. That'S all and let's get started on today's tutorial today, I'll be showing you how you can turn your cosplay wigs from a tank or hot mess into a silky colors. This tutor river cover detangling diffusing and preventing future tangles four hits and non heat-resistant leaks. The first step to reviving any synthetic wig is the fabric. Softener ritual prepare some water enough to cover your wig and in a cup of fabric, softener draw your wig in the holy water, and I usually that is soaked for 6 hours or overnight. Cosplay. Wigs are usually made of synthetic fibers and a fabric softener helps to soften them. Make it easier to come. True, I star all of my wigs on a makeshift wick headstand, which is a foam wicket from arts friend ma softboxes. Then I jerked a hole at the bottom of the wicked fighter. Gertrudis then, once the work has finished soaking I like to detangle it wobbles wet cause, is so much easier to comb out. The knots make sure there's a cloth a bucket below to collect the dripping water after melting the week, I use three Rohit pins to pin the sides and the friends of the week, so it stays secure during detangling. The first tip to detangling is not to detangle a tick chunk at once: grab a smaller section, spread it out and then come out. The outer layer firs they are the most tangle due to friction and Static, then start coming inwards. The way she becomes smooth easily. The other monster you may find in a week and not once again trying to calm it up. It'S only going to make you scream in agony. The second tip is my favor and poor method to get rid of the knots grab. The knot with the thumb and the index finger, they hook your fingers through the middle section of the knot, pull the knot. Dowels and Allah does not should come apart like magic. If the knot is too tight, you can pick it apart and repeat the hook and pull metal until et tangles. It'S good to remove all of the knots first, so ss screaming. Do it. Detangling later for weeks, they're still rough and hard to culture, you can wrap a bit of hair oil onto the victim, make it slippery and easier to comb. Now repeat, the two T's for the tangling in your mixture becomes super smooth in no time after yoga is free of tangles. You will realize this a lot of fries at the ends and they are caused by static air. Friction when it's one, you can use a straightener to iron them out, but to us. Trent has first because even heat resistant wig fibers will melt if the heat range is exceeded, so switch off the iron to a lower temperature or cheeky contrivance, witching it off after it gets hot and on again when it's too cold, as long as the temperature doesn't Exceed the maximum heat range, though it will not melt, eliminating, freeze not only makes her way smooth. It also prevents it from tangling easily to decrease a straight with just straighten it like us treat in your head. Next, we are going to deface a heat-resistant coffee way. After detangling it another quick method to detangle, your wig is to use mane and tail head angler instead of fabric softener, which is available in beauty drugstores. This product is silicon base, so it acts like a lubricant to cooked and detangle hair. A word of caution. Anything with silicon becuase plaster is slippery, so remember to wipe the floor afterwards, spray all over the wick and gently comb, the clothes, so they retain most of its shape, be fondly freezing a collie way remember to do a hitch trend test first, unfortunately, the only way To decrease a collie way is to straighten the ends. Thankfully, he resistant, which can be ironed and caught at the same time, a foam rollers. I got my from thy soul. They come in different sizes and our great alternative, if you do not have a hair, curling iron at home, you can also use this method to cause tricky. Mr. wicks to the wick has lost majority of its original course, so I decided to give it a facelift and recall the entire week, while the way is hot from straightening call, the wick section onto a phone color and lucky in place to let it cool after Is cool carefully, remove the foam rollers and you should get a really beautiful coat if you want tighter calls go for skinnier rollers and the Corollas for loser coats. I ran for medium size, foam rollers to get soft wavy coats loosen up the course when it's done and there you have it. The wig looks almost brand new. Lastly, we'll be defacing a non heat-resistant, wig, they're, extremely cheap, but usually made of very low quality dry and rough wig fibers, and you burn, if start with high heat Johnny in a bucket of water to one cup a fabric softener like we did earlier on to Soften the fibers and you wants to make sure it's completely free of tangles before the freezing to death rays, make sure your straightener is on the lowest setting possible I'll wait till it's cool enough to straighten that heated up again like we did before. Remember the dura strand test to make sure it's not too hot. All your weight fibers will melt and break off it's good to work in smaller sections to make sure all of the wig fibers are thoroughly straightened. If your wig has to be caught, use, foam or hair rollers instead of calling a straightening at the same time, our dampen a wick with water in spray bottle, then colored with the rollers. This no heat metal helps the wick form into clothes as it dries. After is our coat, let the wick dry completely overnight, before removing the formulas, it's really important to let it dry completely, or else the clothes may not form at all. If there are any kings, you can straighten them out with the straightener loosen up the coast, and you are done the once dry and a twig is now smooth AF. Now they always are like brand new. You wouldn't want to tangle them and go to the same hell of intense detangling. Again when you wear your wig to our convention or shoots, it will definitely tango from movements and friction. Prevention is better than cure, so the first tip to prevent tangles is to coat it with hair gel choose one else as firmly, but not too stiff, but stiff enough to slap the [ __ ] out of someone if they try to touch you inappropriately at an Event make sure your way is tangle. Free then apply a generous amount of gel other ends come true. The ends before the gel sets to distribute a gel evenly and work your way upwards. You can also use hairspray instead spray, it in small sections from the ends and calm it before it dries be extremely careful with coming when doing this, which can get tangled when it dries. If you are not careful, this method is the most suitable for straight weeks. Another matter most of the Beaufort Street al-khali weeks is to use a detangler or DIY one with one conditioner to five parts: water, saturate, the entire wig with the spray and come to distribute evenly. The sprays are silicone based. It acts like a lubricant to coat your wig fibers, making it slippery to minimize tangles and if it tangos, it will be really easy to coming up with your fingers. That'S all for today's tutorial and if the tips have been helpful, remember to share it around and you might save someone from their detangling nightmare. Thank you for watching and I'll see you in my next video bye.

FoolOfAPirate: I had to pause because i've literally never heard of or seen the hook and pull method and my jaw DROPPED. I'm a drag queen and everyone does something different with their wigs.

Skylar Elliott: The hair detangler she used is literally used for horses we use it at my stable. lol

koroshitekure: "Should become smooth in no time" - me, taking 3 hours to detangle a 3 foot wig

Delightful Rainclouds: “Choose one that is firm but not too stiff, but stiff enough to slap the s#&$ out of someone if they try to touch you inappropriately at an event” *THE QUEEN HAS SPOKEN*

Jupiter: FINALLY. A TUTORIAL THAT TELLS ME HOW TO PREVENT TANGLES IN THE FIRST PLACE. DO U KNOW HOW LONG IVE WAITED

Dophan: Thank you!!! I love how Drag Queens and Cosplayers share the same tips but we don't really interact between each other lmao

Flutterbutt225: This is SO HELPFUL. I can't wait to try it on my MLP wigs! The Fluttershy one is frizzed out so much I was thinking of retiring the entire cosplay :c Now I may not have to! And I can straighten my wig for Applejack and prevent my Rarity wig from getting frizzy all day at BronyCon!!

Westles: I used to have crazy long hair like that and I used that hook and pull method on my own hair to prevent breaking! My hair didn’t usually get that tangled (god I can’t even imagine) but every now and then I’d get knots like that. That method works even on your own hair if you ever need it!!

I used a little bit of coconut oil since I didn't have a good detangler but the results are all thanks to you!

Abby: Your tutorials are so useful and I can’t help but laugh at your tiny jokes spread throughout. I love your videos and hope you make a lot more!

V J: Another tip for curling wigs that are made low quality fibers is to use boiling water. After the curlers are in place use boiling water to drench each hair section ( carefully over a sink!!), allow to dry completely before removing curlers. It will set the curl a little stronger than usual and is often used on dolls for resetting the curl to their frizzy tangled hair. :)

SukiNoKoe: THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS ♥ I really hope it will work on my wigs; they are a MESS. Soaking one now. Very clever to use fabric softener :)

This definitely will help! I just have to make sure he is okay with me doing these tips... I've spent literally five hours trying to de tangle this wig but it's impossible!! Luckily the con he is going to is a couple of weeks away. Thank you again!!♥️

iluvlife555: THANK YOU for stating the safety precaution of using the "horse and mane detangling" spray of it being super slippery on surface of the floor! I used this stuff on one of my very first cosplay wigs (hatsune miku) when I started cosplaying years back to help detangle the clips and I sprayed a lot on that stuff on the fibers over wood floor. The next day I walked by the area that I was styling at and about fell on my back within a second because the floor was so slippery! I even tried using it over carpeting to avoid falling but that stuff even makes your carpet slippery too! Lol this stuff is awesome but I've learned to be careful of covering the floor before spraying this stuff.

siirilydia: This video is going to be such a huge help for my upcoming weekend as Umaru-chan. Thank you. ❤️

VAMP.HIBIKI: Thank you for making this video! The wig for my Futaba Sakura cosplay got tangled up, and I didn't even know how to detangle it. ^^

Cherish Aw: Thanks so much for the tutorial, it worked like a dream!!

EJ Martin: Oh my god you are so helpful. I honestly hate even looking at my wig because of how tangled it gets

Yolandi und Hieooo zocken: Very helpful video and amazing tips! Thank you for that. :)

Aleksandra Kuśmierz: This is wonderful and works wonders! I totally detangled my curly wig, defrizzed and curled it back again, but I'm so worried it all will happen again! How to store wigs so they don't get tangled? :c

Ichigo: Hello dear Miss Iwasaki Myuki. I want to thank you for your wonderful video. The explanations are detailed and you can see the effort behind the filming. I by myself have 75cm long (real) hair and you are the first one who knows how to comb and unravel long hair properly! Thanks for that! Even hairdressers do that wrong again and again. Maybe some of them will watch your video and learn from it. :-)

HollyJolly: Thank you this is so helpful!! My wig for my current cosplay is quite long and after sitting, moving around and taking my backpack on and off, it tangles quite easily. And it’s quite annoying to constantly ask friends “Is my wig really tangled in the back?” XD

AlainaWithanA: Fantastic tutorial! I use a similar technique for my wigs as well, but I never knew how to prevent tangles!! I recommend using "The Wet Brush" for detangling because that brush is awesome! Also, a steamer is also great for defrizzing!!~ Thanks again for an awesome tutorial!

VanessaTheFish: Ok I love her discription of how "stiff" the gel on the wig needs to be! XD I'm new at cosplay!

Shanni Pinkerton: THANK YOU! Most of my wigs are shoulder length and I don't struggle, but I just got one that's a few feet long and I was STRESSING!

Merlchen: This is so helpful! Thank you ♥

CinnaPurin: Thank you so much! I thought my wig was beyond saving but the fabric softener really helped. ^^

Katie Cross: Thank you so much for this video! I love to cosplay, but cannot do it often due to lack of money. However, I can cosplay/dress up when it is around Halloween. I'm doing an Alice Angel costume this year and I have blonde hair as her character has black. I hate using the hair colour spray so I decided to use a wig. This is going to help me so much. Thank you.

Megan Coleman: This just saved me so much headache with my new rapunzel wig! Thanks so much!

Lina: Great tips! Love them, they were very helpful thanks

Brianna Riner: Oh my god this would have been helpful the first time I wore an 80 cm wig to a con I had to brush it out almost every 2 hours! But this will save me & my wig for the next con :’)

Somegoodolbants: Really helpful! I just got a wig for a musical at my local theatre and it has already gotten tangled. Will have to try soon!

Hannah Bear: I love your channel, and you are such a sweetheart! I wish all cosplayers were half as kind as you!

cat: I really wanna cosplay when I’m older so I love binge watching these for when I’m older !! This one is really good!!
