ISHTAR: Omg the ampro styling gel holds down my hair (on stretched hair) good for a good 3-5 days. You can top it off with a holding spritzer or a stronger holding gel like edge booster (beware leaves white residue but has great hold). But I like ampro because it’s not drying, has great hold and my hair feels soft on wash day and not hard and stiff. Wow I’m surprised you didn’t like ampro for your holds. Maybe try again, stretch your hair out dry and use a lot. Then top it with the got 2 b glue gel that has a stronger hold. I have fine, 4c hair.

To get rid of the flaking, I usually take a cotton swab, put some hand sanitizer on it and run it over the flaky parts and the flakes will go away.
