I Tried The Viral Boho Braids On My Short Natural Hair| No Added Hair

Hi guys welcome back to my youtube channel. My name is lola. If this is your first time stopping here and today we are going to be doing the viral boho braids on my short natural hair. Okay, you guys, i see my hair short, because i've only been growing this out for about a year or a little over a year and when the style first came off, i only saw people with long hair doing it, but i finally decided to try it on My length, okay, so first things. First, i'm going to start parts in my hair and you guys this mirror i'm using is totally game changing. I saw another girl on youtube, use it and i had to buy it. I'M going to leave a link to the exact one i have down in the description box for anyone who might be interested so jumping straight into the tutorial. I decided to do this little back section just as a test to see if this was going to look good. Okay, because i can't even lie. I was very nervous to try to style out and once the section looked okay to me, i went ahead and continued the rest of my head here. I'M just making sure that my part is very, very clean and straight i love crisp parts. You don't have to make your part straight if you don't want to so going straight into the boho braids, i'm going to start making a braid on this section of my hair and, as you guys can see me, do i'm going to be taking out little pieces From the braid, as i make my way down, so you know you're braiding, with three strands of hair. Now you want to take out of each strand as you go up, so you want to make sure you're not taking from the same strand more than once as well. That way, you still have like an even amount of hair in each of the strands that you're using to braid your hair. Now my hair is not long enough to put in my mouth, like everyone has been doing so. I was literally just using a clip to clip mine out of the way and now that i'm done, i'm just going to go ahead and use that eco styler gel that i showed you guys to shingle those pieces of hair. It'S basically like doing a wash and go i'm just using it to define my curls and yeah. That'S pretty much it so for this second braid, you can see me doing the exact same thing, i'm just taking out pieces of hair, as i make my way down. The braid and i'm just using my clip to hold them out of the way so that it doesn't like kind of interfere with me, braiding my hair, and then i just continue making a braid going all the way down. And when i get to the ends, you guys, i make sure i don't braid all the way to the end, because you still want that. Curly look like when you get to the ends of your hair. Now one thing i did differently with my boho braids. I saw another girl on tiktok do this is that she didn't make all of the braids the same so with this braid i literally just braided it halfway, and i left it at that and i just defined the ends and with some braids like that braid in The middle you can see, i braided it almost till the end, and i left the ends curly just to give me a bit of length - and i feel like doing these different braids all through my hair, just helps to give me a lot more volume anyways. This is me just taking a quick break to eat some corn, because i knew i had hours ahead of me. My hair, as you guys, can see i'm just going to be pulling out pieces and some braids i'm going to be braiding, some of them all the way down and just leaving only the ends and then i'm going to be braiding some of them halfway, and i Really really liked how this turned out, i decided to define all of my pieces as i went along so as i was doing each line, i literally went ahead and defined all of the pieces just to make sure that i wasn't missing anyone and i got the Same amount of definition throughout my hair and you guys so far, i'm loving how it's looking like it's giving half wash and go half braids and literally this is what this style is about. It looks very like vacation ready, it looks really really nice and my parts are looking great thanks to that mirror. I went ahead and completed the entire back section of my head and, as you guys can see, my parts are not showing because i'm also doing the brick layering method. If you haven't seen my how to parts natural hair video, i have a very detailed tutorial. I will have a link down below as well as in the cards, for you guys now. Moving on to the front section, i'm doing the exact same thing. I'Ve been doing just making a braid and leaving out pieces of hair as i go along, and then i just go ahead when i'm done to define it with some gel. You guys this style took me a total of about six to seven hours to do. I wasn't surprised i expected it to take me that long, especially because i was trying so hard to make sure i had really clean parts. So if you want this to go by faster i'd suggest you just do not bother about the parts, but if you're like me - and you want like really nice parts, maybe you could pre-part your hair the day before and then braid on the next day. Just so, it would take you a lot less time, but i was definitely invested in having a really nice look, because i want to keep this style in for about two weeks, so i made sure that my parts looked really nice, as you guys can see here. I'M completely done this was late at night. I started this hair like in the morning time and the whole day passed, but the results you guys the results are just absolutely gorgeous. I really really loved it now. This was about two days after i had refreshed my hair a bit. I did my edges just to make sure my baby hairs are looking cute, okay like and you guys can see the smile on my face. I was very very impressed. I can't believe i held off on doing this stuff for so long, because i thought my hair would be too short here. I'M just adding some gold like hoops to my hair, just to give it a bit of you know just a little extra-ness, because i'm extra like that and next i'm gon na go ahead and style. My hair into like a little half up, half down situation with some of the light curly bits out in front i'm using this um satin scrunchie to just put my hair up into like a bun and yeah you guys.
