Hey guys welcome back to my channel today, I'm doing a very chilled little video on how I style my hair. I'Ve had heaps and heaps of requests on how I do this kind of vintage style with my short here ever since I cut my hair off. This is probably my favorite way to wear my hair. It'S super fun. The reason I like doing this here is, I love a good vintage hairstyle, but I do this for like day one and then once I've slipped on my here overnight day. Two here is a lot more relaxed and kind of modern and choppy its way. It'S way less sort of intensely curled like this, so it's kind of fun because they get a bit of variety. If you end up enjoying this video, then don't forget to give it a thumbs up for me and make sure you subscribe as well for 3 uploads a week. I'D love to see you around here so that further ado, let's get into the tutorial on how I do my vintage curled bob. So this is what my hair looks like when it's partially ear dried. I let it get to about this stage. While I put on my face in the morning and then I go in with some heat protectant spray, the one I've got at the moment is the John Frieda Frizz Ease heat defense, protecting spray - and I just put this through my hair before a finished blow drying. It let's get started so, as you can see that it's created a lot of volume, then I'm going to do my curls with my GHD. This is a platinum styler. It'S like the pretty one with the lovely pattern on it and then I'm going to sort of give myself a bit of a exaggerated side, part now cuz, it's where my key and naturally falls slightly. Obviously in Tibbett, it's not like a real side part. So I just sort of pulled it over. So it's like a definite side part. Then I'm just gon na split my hair and half at the back and just clip this one side move it here just to keep that out of the way and then clip out the top half of my hair over here, then I just take small little sections With my straightener and I just kind of clamp it and twirl, it can see that it's giving me a little a little girl, I'm curling my hair towards my face for this, because it's more vintage curls. If you wanted a little bit more sort of modern or looser sort of curls less structured, you could alternate the direction or do it more like facing away from your face. So you click the here and then twist the straightener towards your face hello for these kind of underneath you sections that are just like too short to curl. I just typically kind of go in with my straightener vertically and just sort of give them a bit of a little looping thing and that just kind of makes it look like this sort of curling with the rest of your hair. But it's just you can't do like a proper curl with them cuz, it's so short! So then I just let down the next layer of here and just repeat the process. If they hear of it gets Stockton doesn't roll smoothly, you can kind of like clamp and unclamp like just go like that with the straightener. Just that when you use like thicker pieces like this at the front, you kind of need to just go. So I'm just going to do the other side and then I'll talk about how to style the curls don't touch them while they're still calling to let them look like Shirley Temple for a little bit. So then, when you're. Finally, at the stage you here's all code, you want to take some hairspray. I just use the Loreal Elnett hairspray. It'S something I've used for many many years, then I just grab a little teasing brush. You could also use a con for this. I guess firstly, I just kind of go through and sort of brush them out a little bit, because I don't want it to look as PC as it did, and then you want to go in and just separate off sections and give it a little back home. Like that, I do this all the way down both sides of my head, and I attempt to do it on the back as well as quite difficult, and when you finish teasing, you just want to use your hands to kind of settle everything down a bit because It'Ll be a bit too much. I sometimes also put a bit of extra T's here at the front of my hair. To get that lift, then my final step is actually going on with the texturizing spray, so this is the Toni & Guy Met texture dry shampoo. When I cut my hair this shot, I was so excited to get the Obey dry texturizing shampoo, that everyone talks about when they have short hear. That thing is so expensive, like I went online to buy it and I was like $ 70 for a spray for a hair product that couldn't do it. So I went to Priceline and got this one for like $ 14, like it's much much cheaper and works. Awesome so it's basically a dry shampoo, but it's got like a matte sort of texturizing quality to it as well, and for this I flipped my hair upside down and spray it that way. So it gets a bit of volume. That'S my favorite step because it really gets a lot of sort of messiness back into the look. The side normally sits behind my ear, it's kind of just very softly defined and then the sides real they're, really like poofy curls kind of hang out, and that is my finished look. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I hope it brought a lot of value to you if you did enjoy it, don't forget to give this video a huge thumbs up for me. It really helps me out. Sharon L: Gorgeous! Thanks for the tutorial!

Chris Wallace: We are all going to be visiting our hair stylist with a photo of Arna saying " give me this cut"! Lol. You really do look beautiful with your new sassy bob. ✂️

MCS: Perfecto este será mi siguiente look!

emily watson: Awesome!! Gorgeous look!

tigger827: I love the style of these curls if I ever cut my hair off I would definitely style it similar :) also, what lipstick are you wearing at the start of this video? I love it!

Slothie Bestie: Omg THANKSSSSSS! I’ve started curling more pieces towards my face, but I’ve never done my whole head that way. I will have to try!! ❤️ I’ve been waiting for this video, I’m so excited!

Tiana Stroshin: I have never liked a short hair more! You’re so adorable and style your hair so well. I love it.

Amy: I love your style, it's so vintage. I'm motivated to cut my hair now

Felicia B: You make me want to chop off even more of my hair (it's barely grazing my shoulders right now), looks so lovely on you!

EssieRose: Great tutorial!

Sunrise 03: LOVE your short hair!!!

Cornelia S.: When your hair is super long and cant hold a curl longer than 10 sec. but you watch because its arna! You look stunning with your hair styled like this. I saw your review of bareminerals invisible glow and I always wanted to try an Hourglas ambient lightning powder, I thin diffused light would be a good match. Do you think I could use the BM all over my face like a HG powder? HG is soooooo difficult to get in my country.

Zoey Dahling: What do you do when you want to get your hair out of your face/off your neck? I've been debating a shorter style recently but I overheat easily and I really tend to need the option of pulling my hair back to cool down. I know when it's shorter it won't be on my neck as much, but it still will be to some extent, plus it will still be in my face. What do you use, or do you just always leave it down? Also, do you ever just air dry your hair, or do you find that when it's shorter it always requires styling to look nice? Thanks!

Megan Roberts: I wish I could get my hair to hold curls, it’s so heavy that every time I put any curl or wave in it they disappear so quick! :( so I just stick with natural hair in a pony tail or straighten my hair! But your hair is gorgeous curled like that

ASK Beauty and More: Love tho look!

Kate Thompson: Loved this.... oh I'm so tempted to go short again!!!

Barb McGregor: Love this. My hair is kinda the same length. I need a new flat iron.

Lee Moss: Your new hair cut looks gorgeous. Do you have an recommendations please for fine frizzy hair? I’ve tried a lot of serums but they make my blonde fine hair look greasy. Thanks xx

Tammy St. Jean: You can get one of those super tiny flat iron's to curl those short under bits better I still flat iron my hair with my tiny little 1CM iron and I even curl it with my tiny little iron. I swear it was made for a Barbie it's so tiny but it works great.

Linda Johnson: What a cute hair look...I like your shorter cut....

sarah crandall: You look glamorous!

Jessica Frandi: I just chop my hair short and youtube recommended your video lol I'm surprised how high your voice was. I love the hairstyle though, thank you

Misty Hinds: My favorite style for your hair was how the stylist did it the day u got it cut.

Kelli: This is completely irrelevant to me but I am still watching lol. Love you!

ClassM Blondie: Lol love the do the front big piece beep beep beep beep beep totally makes sense

Rachel Grubbs: That shirt is adorable on you
