Second Day Refresh + Messy Bun Tutorial

In this video, I'll go over exactly how I style my second day straight hair. The flip out can be a bummer with short hair so I go into detail on how I fix it without putting too much heat on my hair. ALSO, I'll show you that cute messy bun that y'all love!

Hi guys and welcome back to my channel if you are new here, my name is Chloe Brown and I'm so happy that you clicked on this video. So today is gon na, be just like a second day hair like how I wear my hair straight and then like an easy way to throw it up. If you want it out of your face or if you have too much bedhead or you don't want heat on your hair or honestly, if it's too greasy, I don't like using a ton of dry shampoo. So on days, where my hair is straighter, I just kind of throw it up and hide the little shine, but I absolutely love this hairstyle. This has been something that I've just been doing. If I'm doing yard work outside or like I said, if it's just straight hair on second day, I'm just like put it up, get it out of my face. I love love, love the sass and the fundus of this hairstyle. It'S super summer, so um we're gon na get right into that. I do have a fun announcement. That crock has given me a 60 % off code for everything on their site. I have a link on my Instagram like a highlight, saved story with all the links that you can swipe up to. If you're curious, you can go ahead over to my Instagram and check that out the code isn't going to last long. So if you want 60 % off of a flat iron or a blow-dryer round brush or whatever go ahead over to their site, use my code, I'm so happy that you guys are able to get 60 % off of their stuff, so go ahead over there. Alright without further ado, let's get right to this video I hope you guys enjoy. It has been a real, quick minute right. Okay, so I promised you guys. I would show you how I do my straight hair different ways. So it's funny every single time I wear my hair straight. You guys are like how do you wear your hair straight, which is funny because I feel like it's the most simple hairstyle, because it's just straight, but a lot of people are like. I have flip out girl. I do too okay. This is second day hair, so I do have to flip out every time I wear my hair straight. I kind of have to go over it the next day. It'S not like. If I wear my hair curly. I definitely have to revise some things in the morning, so I'm going to show you that today this is how I woke up. It'S not perfect. Could I wear my hair like this kind of umph it up here? I'M sure it could, but you know okay, so I'm gon na part, my hair right behind my ears and you're gon na grab a clip and just clip it up. So this is the one and a half inch infrared flat iron from crock. Now a lot of you who have short hair are like well. I want the one inch. I don't suggest the one inch just because it is super small like it is a half inch smaller than this, and so this covers a lot more area, but this also gets right up to the root which is very nice, and then you get very flat hair. It'S so nice, don't get. The 1 inch get the 1 and 1/2 inch. If you have shorter hair trust me. I'Ve had this exact one for years, even when I did have like my really short pixie bob, so anywho, I'm gon na put it to the infrared on, because I want lower heat higher frequency. So you, you know, you get a good coverage and I'm just gon na turn it down to 300 degrees, and this is just so. I get this little flip out gone, so I'm gon na take this and just get that flip out to go away now. My hair is already straight. We just want to redirect that flip, so I'm just gon na take it and just redirect it to not flip out now I do a little curl just at the bottom of it just to make it last all day. Just like that and, like I said, we're doing low low low temp, so three hundred degrees, we just we don't want to damage our hair. Our hair is already straight we're just trying to redirect where that flip out goes. Alright. I think that is good enough. I just wanted to redirect some of it. It'S okay, if a tiny bit flips out here - and there just needs to be a little bit. Okay, now I'm gon na take all my hair down and I'm gon na see. What'S going on all right, I feel like some of this needs to be fixed. None of this needs to be fixed most of the time this flips out too so that front section. So what we are going to do is we're gon na redirect it down. Just like that - and I love using the low temp on this, because it does such a good job of getting your hair doing what it does without damaging it. It slides through the hair very easy. It'S awesome love this one these on the bottom, even though some of my hair was flipping out before just a little bit. I'M gon na have that always right here, because my neck makes it do that little flippy doodad, but we just want it to nicely come in. So now I have the second area down. It looks straight and perfect. Alright, now I let this hair down see what this is doing. I feel like I do have some. I need to redirect all that to so we are going to do another layer and it just seems to be these front pieces, maybe one more pass through gosh. I need to get a trim, so bad, oh man was quarantine. I'M very glad that I went. I let my roots go in like I wanted that natural root throwing because I don't have to get my hair dyed. Do I want more blonde, maybe just a little bit on the face frame, but I'm kind of really digging my natural hair, color and I've had my hair blonde there, so so so long that it's nice to just have something different, but yeah I haven't had to Get my hair retouched up at the roots. Do I have grays? Yes, I do, but it's okay cuz! It'S just what happens when you get older? Okay, maybe one pass through here. Okay, so here's my hair straight. Okay! It needs help in the body area all right. It'S got nobody, nobody wan na lean, yes donate or so am I gon na. Add tees? Yes, people. If you don't like tees, you don't have to do it. I like it, I'm just gon na. Do a tiny bit. I'M gon na add this product that I just I don't know how. I have not used this because it just seems like my type of product, but it is called what a tease backcomb in a bottle. I'M just gon na spray it on there. Okay, so you're. Just gon na spray a little bit on there and it is a very high of old hairspray, but it's kind of like I don't know it's. I wouldn't spray it anywhere other than just like your roots, but hollow hollow is high old and I don't even feel like. I have to backcomb that much like. Usually, I'm like, oh all, very much towards the scalp, but on these I just kind of lightly come through. I don't want to damage anything and then just spray that on - and you know those powders they're - very sticky - they weren't great, but they're, very sticky and out, like the stickiness. So this I would rather deal with hairspray then that texture powder, okay, there we go. That'S done now. Could I use this back comb in a bottle without teasing yeah? Probably I honestly, I probably could okay here we go now. Let'S do this front section the spread section I like to tease behind T's on the side T's in the front I like to do everything just a little bit. I don't want it to look back combed, I'm gon na hold it up holy okay. Now, what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na push that down here? We want that to nicely form on that side very lightly brush through this, I'm just brushing out that top layer. You don't want to take out your T's that you just did. I just want to brush, through the top layer, put your fingers through to kind of connect it make it more round and then I'll take this and I'll pull that over just a little bit hold it there, and that is how i refresh second day straight hair. Okay, so there's this hairstyle that you guys absolutely love and you're like when you do your hair straight. Please show me so so here it goes okay, so I part my hair down the middle, so we just take out what I just did now. This is second day here: okay, I'm gon na go like right here like right at the temples and then we're just gon na put it in a ponytail, okay, you're gon na wrap it around twice on the third time. Tighten it just like that. Pull these pieces out, if you want more out, tighten it just like that. Okay, so it looks crazy and then pull these very loose. You want them to kind of like fall on the side you want them to be. You know get that face frame action, pull again right, so there's that pull these pieces down in the front just like. So I like it messy up here, if you don't make it cleaner, it's okay! If there's side pieces on the side where I'm like, I took too much hair up just pull a little bit down just like that. Now pull this tight again. Take some bobby pins. Pin it in the back just to give it that lift just like that now, if you need to pin up here, you can totally do that, and you know, if you want to you, can take a little piece of here and wrap it around your elastic. If you don't want it showing or you can pin that down, just like that, if you don't want your elastic, showing it'll make your little bun up here bigger I like it messy. I, like things poking out, I don't like things being, even so, sometimes I'll, even like pull little pokies out just like that, and then, if I want all tease this section, just to add some fullness on the sides. Just like that and there we go. Thank you. So much for watching this video, I hope that you found it a little fun something new to do on your little quarantine. I think it's so important to still get ready on this weird season of our life. I find that on the days I don't get ready. I feel like really mopey, really sad doing my makeup doing my hair gives me a little something to do to look forward to during the days, even if I'm not going anywhere, I just feel better. Yeah enjoy have fun. If you guys have any questions, please DM me on Instagram. I answer all of those over there. It might take me a little bit, but I will get to you but anyways. If you have any questions on hair tools as well, while that 60 % off code is going on, please DM me, I will be happy to answer any of your questions. Yeah and I hope to see you guys on my next video bye

bexx2011: I put in the Code and It didn’t work

Wendy Reed: The whole idea of the "messy" hairstyle is less work & less hassle...just throw it up & go. Seems like you're defeating purpose by being so fussy about straitening every little hair that "flips" outward. That's nuts!
