Curly Bun With Clip Ins | On Short Hair

Hey guys, it's not McFly and welcome back to my youtube channel. You already know the deal from the title, I'm about to show you guys how I do a sleek little curly bun on my short hair. Instagram live like my quick tutorials when I'm literally experimenting just trying to see if it's possible and a lot of times, my hair, so it actually turns out pretty darn good. So I just wanted to be able to share that with you guys um. This hairstyle is really quick for me, really easy, I'm about to go out of town to New Orleans and then go back home to Baltimore for a while and while I'm there, I just want to have low maintenance hair. So I'm thinking I can do this slicked ponytail for a few days. I can do it up. I can do a low for a few days and then, when I get home, my hair will already be stretched from the ponytail and I can probably get someone to braid my hair back and then I wear head wraps for a few days, while I'm home, if Y'All know anything about traveling with natural hair. You know you got a plan in advance. Cuz, you don't need no accidentals, you don't need to forget anything and you do not want to be doing your hair every single day of the trip. So with that being said, I actually got to catch a plane in a few hours, so I'm gon na try to hurry up and blast through this hair style. You guys also know that I dry my hair with a t-shirt always always always no matter what my hair is already really wet, so I'm not gon na wet it too much more. So I'm just gon na go in with a little bit of the taliah waajid. I like this, because it's not only a detangler, but it's a good leave-in, conditioner and co-wash, so it would it's just equivalent to putting a little bit more conditioner in my hair, giving it some moisture cuz. Well, it isn't a ponytail. I just want to make sure it's not getting dry and then next I'm going to follow up with some strengthen and conclude, strengthen and hair growth conditioner. I got this from my local black owned hair shop in Crenshaw. I will try to link it down below. I know they just relaunched their website and I love this stuff. I feel like it's what's been moisturizing my hair and helping it retain its length. So I'm just gon na work that in there and now I'm gon na repeat that for every single section, let's get on through this, I'm also brushing my hair using the tangle teezer brush. But typically this is the brush. I would use when I'm in the shower and things like that, but the tangle teaser teaser brush smooth my hair. So I just want to use it because I am doing a ponytail. So it's just gon na give me a different kind of like smoothness and control. I have low porosity hair, as most of you guys know. I am gaining a lot of new subscribers which I'm so thankful for welcome to the fam nice to see you nice to have you here, but I have low porosity hair. So I always have to work water into my hair and really make sure it's actually penetrating through my cuticles and actually getting that moisture. Okay, my hair is moisturize through and through. I'M gon na put a little bit of oil, castor oil on my edges, just because the ponytail isn't gon na slick me back and pull my hair, of course, not pull it out, but any kind of tension. I just want to make sure I can ease it with a little bit of oil and I'll also put a little bit on my ends, while I'm at it I'm going in for the kill to just try to slick all of my hair. So game plan is to brush it first get the feel of the ponytail. I don't try to know about the greatness. You go by call up the gang and they come. If you change from me, you forgive you expand now that I know it's possible. I'M going to do a temporary ponytail just to hold the hair up now, I'm gon na take my eco styler gel and cover slop it all over. My hair splob is a weird word, but yeah smack it on there in the back, I'm sure to get it like right here. Let'S go in for this ponytail I got a hard brush soft brush, I'm actually gon na push it back just a little bit cuz. I see these hairs coming out, so I rather just push it back to be able to get them in the, but I like to leave this little puff because it leaves hair to wrap my extensions around to give it a nice solid base, and I think my Curl texture really matches my clippings really well. Next, I'm gon na use the olive oil super hold spring there's so many types clip-ins ultra has clip in so many people have clip ins just find the one that best fits your curl type. I'Ve even used Marley hair before and I'm clipping as close to my bun as I can possibly get it. I use the little combs to get up any extra hair. I see as well any flyaways. Alright, let's wrap this up. Maybe we can finish for the camera dies. Think I have all my hair. Then I'm gon na brush one more time just taking the hair to the back. Just gon na bobby pin these in here now. Sometimes it does take more than one try. So don't give up if it doesn't come out, the first try. Sometimes you got to take down and reposition. It just depends on the day today, she's giving full boom. Now I just like to take out little pieces, I'm gon na wet my fingertips, really quick and then take out just little curly pieces from the baby hair. So you guys can see she's so cute. It'S actually obnoxious, yes, honey! This is the final look. Ponytail is looking cute. Let me look at the back beautiful. This is my final look and she's looking good. The edges are panini, press boy, don't touch them some play when I'm okay, I'm not going anywhere all weekend, don't play with it, don't play with it. I feel so cute with this button. It'S just so sleek. It makes me miss having hair and I'm just so happy. My hair is growing, so I can be versatile again, I'm happy to be making videos and doing fun things with my hair.
