I love curling my M+B extensions but sometimes I just can't decide whether to use a flat iron or a curling wand. To prevent you guys having this predicament I decided to show you the visual difference between them both and how to achieve the perfect version of each curl.

In this tutorial I'm wearing the classic set in length 20"-22" in the shade 'Slayer' which I've toned slightly.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, let me know in the comments which curls you prefer! Lots of love, Mim xoxo

( upbeat music, ) Hi, everyone welcome to the channel. Today, I'm gon na show you the visual difference between curls with a flatiron and curls with a curling wand.. Sometimes I really struggle to decide what kinda curls I want for different. Looks that I'm doing so. I'M gon na give you a visual demonstration of both. On this side of my face. I'M gon na do curls with my flatiron straightener, whatever you wan na call it and then on this side, I'm gon na do my curls with a curling wand.. I'Ve already got my Milk and Blush hair extensions clipped in, and this is the classic set in their 20-22.. I'M kinda feeling like a change recently., I'm gon na go for the longer length. And yeah fancy a change.. So it's already kind of straightened and nice and sleek kind of like a blank canvas and I've parted, my hair down the centre. So I'm just gon na split my hair in half., And I'm gon na clip this section back out of the way and I'm gon na be dealing with this section. First ,'cause. This is the side I'm gon na use my flatiron on. And I'm just gon na section off my hair. So I can work with it section by section.. I seem to say section a lot in these videos.. Then I've got my flatiron here., It's already nice and hot.. I'Ve got it on 230.. You don't wan na go above that really., That's celsius, not fahrenheit., And I've already put heat protection on my hair as well.. So I'm just gon na take a small piece here.. I'M going to put my flatiron down towards the ground, clamp my hair at the top twist it around once and then just pull the hair through.. You can twist it more than once if you want, depending on what kind of curl you wan na get.. So with the flatiron you've kind of got kind of more of a beachy wave., It doesn't really take that much length off the bottom. If you can see, compare it there. So I'll carry on doing this all over this section, and then I can show you guys what the finished look looks: like. (, upbeat, music, ), Okay, so this side is all done and the golden rule with doing curls is Always let your curls cool completely before you brush them out.. So, while these are cooling, I'm gon na go on to the other side and use the curling wand.. So I'm gon na be using a 32 millimetre curling wand. Kind of a standard size when it comes to curling wands and that's the size that I always go for.. It would also help if I turned it on as well., So I'm gon na section off my hair. The same way, I did before. When I'm curling my hair, with my curling wand, I like to take sections about an inch thick and I always curl away from my face.. So I pop the wand behind the hair like this, and then I wrap the hair around flat and try to keep it quite close together as well.. If you want more of a wave, then you wan na put a little bit of space between the hair., But we're going for a curl. For this look, so I like to keep it quite close together.. I need to hold that for about 10 seconds. Then you want to drop it into your hand, so it cools a little bit.. I like to kinda scrunch the hair a little bit as well just to really hold that bit in. And you can let it drop slowly and you can see. You'Ve got a really pretty curl there., So I'm gon na carry on this process all over this side of my head, always curling away from your face and always allowing the sections to cool in your hand slightly before you drop them., ( upbeat music ). So I'm all finished up on this side and you can see it's looking a bit. Crazy. I've got kind of a Shirley Temple, Curly Sue thing going on., So I'm gon na leave those to cool and then I'm gon na brush both sides out. So you can see the finished look. Now I'm gon na really gently brush out these curls and I'm gon na start on the flatiron side, and I always like to start from the bottom and work my way. Up.. That'S the best way to kind of brush your extensions because they don't get knotted at all., So you can see with the flatiron you've. Kinda got this beachy textured vibe going on.. Okay! So now that section's all brushed out, I'm gon na move on to this side. And again brushing from the bottom up.. So you can see there. You'Ve kinda got a bit more. You know more Victoria's Secret-esque, look about those curls. And then you've got the more relaxed beachy look on this side.. So there you have it guys.. Now you have a visual guide on difference between flatiron curls and curling wand curls.. I really hope you enjoyed this video and, let me know in the comments below which side you prefer the flatiron or the curling wand.. I love them both.. I think they're such different styles, so versatile and you know me - I just love a curl.. If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to give it a big thumbs up. That would really make my day. Crown'd with Glory: I agree with you! It's always good to have options and being able to alternate between the two tools would be great. Love love love the wand side but both are great. Excited to get my new wand now.

Lois Rance: They're both absolutely lovely! I'm a big fan of the flat iron curls especially.

Cash4Fruit: I have curly hair so straightener looks more like my natural hair, I prefer the more polished look of the curling wand however sometimes casual is better depending on occasion

Abigail Joy Reyes: Just what I need. I love this. You did great

Susan Lily Lockman: Your video is informative and answered several questions I have been thinking about. Coming from a 35-year teaching career, I must say you did an outstanding job teaching! Thank you!

Savrofi: Both are so beautiful on you but I love the curling wand

Marie Andrea: both look lovely. curling wand a bit more glam

Meira Robison: I love the curling wand side!

Alex Vera: Curling wand looked so much better

Kylie R: Hi, what brand of straightener are you using in this video because I love the curls it created.

natalia correa: The best I've used is the Karmin.

Shaheen Khalid: Both are looking beautiful. I really enjoy this vedio

Lisa Opperman: I like both of them but as a person who is trying to learn how to do it I just think I need a little bit more help LOL

Emma Strain: Not sure how it works but I get those nice Hollywood glam curls you do with your curling wand but I use my straightener to curl.

Thalita Pridemore: Curly wand for sure

Tracy Zafranco: Both are beautiful

P.M. Patterson: Wait, I’m confused? Are those extensions or your hair. Does the curling effect differ between extensions and real hair?

loozi bissbiss: I luv ur look

aleeza: I wouldn’t mind any of them on me. I’m 11, and I naturally have *VERY* straight hair, like it’s been straightened, so I’m not allowed to use a straightener. And because it can damage my hair. But I would rather get a straightener to straighten and curl, even though I would kinda rarely use it. Loved the vid, I purely watched it cuz I find people straightening and curling hair satisfying (idek why ) Thanks for the vid

Shivani Hardia: uh look so adorable❤ ur new subscriber❤❤❤❤

Maria Aragon: Is that a 1inch wand?

Gisell Argueta: Flat iron
