I could really use a comb. I could really use a comb. I could really use a comb, hey everyone we're doing a gorgeous flatiron tutorial today. This is my best friend nikki, we've known each other since 1991, when we shared our mutual excitement over kim's and mexico's. First all-around individual world title at the world: gymnastics championships now nikki struggles with bed head and she also struggles with this, like inability of like knowing how to use her flat iron and that's really what we're gon na work on today. Isn'T it nicole? Isn'T it nikki? Welcome to our flat iron tutorial, so now i'm going to show you how to curl some hair with a flat iron. Here'S the thing my ring like pulls on the hair, so i'm going to keep it right there and then i'm using this great unscented foam and i'm just gon na apply it to nikki's hair because she's always liked a little bit of extra body in her hair. I sure have, i know, you've always loved your hair, like that so funny, and then i'm just gon na kind of comb it through with this amazing sheila's dots brush. So now that i've applied the mousse, i could really use a blow dryer uh. Ah, i caught it okay, so now i'm just gon na work that mousse into nikki's hair, i'm about to go ham with some moose watch this i'm about to go beverly hills on your ass! Yes, honey about to massage that in. I really wanted to get that good, lift that good volume, i'm gon na kind of quickly heat the whole section now i'm gon na. Yes, i'm gon na curl this towards her face. Okay. So now i'm just gon na wrap these ends around so mannequin head. Sometimes excuse me nikki's, hair sometimes does not hold way well. So if you have that hair that doesn't hold way well, sometimes just coating it with hairspray really really helps. You know what i'm to do, i'm going to do messy waves underneath with more curled waves. On top and then i'm going to move it all together, so i'm going to show you really like how to do beachy waves with this. So the first way i'm going to show you how to do. This is what it's like a little bumping technique. So i'm going to take this top and i'm gon na bump it away making a little c. Then i'm gon na work it down making a see the other way. Then i go back to the original way and then i go like this and then i go like that. That looks really pretty such good waves and you can do it looser or more tight like that. One and now i'm gon na show you another way to wave your hair. This one is one of my faves and this one you basically just feed the hair into the iron. The top of this one was not super successful, but the bottom part was: let's get the replay. You can see that that part had been too puffy. So this top part hadn't got heated, but the bottom did so it's okay to go over a part. Again. You just want to try to avoid doing the ends twice, so i'm just going to kind of perfect this and i'm gon na push it over this way and those two really mix together in a in a cool way. It'S that kind of like done, but undone look okay. So now, because i want her hair to turn out even i'm gon na do the same technique in the same order on this side, this is basically like using a flat iron to create a pin curl. You can use any of your fingers, i'm going to do one finger and i'm gon na twist this around one finger and then i'm gon na work that hair off my finger and then i'm gon na take the flat iron and i'm gon na smash it. And i'm gon na smash it again smashing it pretty. I'M actually gon na clip this up and let it cool. So that's cooling off now we're going to do the back. No, he did not. Are you serious girl, him and the horse? He rode in here on so now, i'm gon na take these out and i'm just gon na i'm actually just gon na start by seeing how they're looking oh, i think this pin curl turned out. Well, oh, it really did okay! So now, because i want that good volume here, i'm gon na backcomb her root a little bit give her a little bit of a rupaul's drag race vibe on the top so really important stuff for teasing. Is you really want to hold even tension? I'M holding this evenly and i'm packing that hair on the root honey, but then i'm really going to brush that out. So it's not going to stay like that honey. I'M trying to give nikki all this height, all this volume all this glamour, because she is what worth it. Oh okay, now we're gon na give her a little spray, and now i'm just going to bring that same bending technique into this part of her hair. Pretty kind of loosen this up a little bit still how pretty miss nikki and who would have ever thought all styled with a literal flat iron. You are gorgeous. Thank you so much for watching everyone.
