How I Straighten My Natural Hair 2022 | Duvolle Infrared Flat Iron (Does It Work?)

Hey guys, what's up, it's me shauna and i'm back with a new video, i'm straightening, my hair with a new flat iron. I got it's the infrared flat iron by duval and i've been using this flat iron for a while. Now and so far. I usually set it to degrees, so that's the temperature i usually use for my hair. My hair is about three c four yeah, three c four, eight um curl pattern, it's more of a coarse like type of texture, and then you can see that the plate on the top lights up red, which i feel is pretty cool, so the infrared technology. It'S supposed to um be a little gentler on your hair. Um, like the heat, is supposed to be more gentle and it's supposed to distribute the heat evenly through your hair strands, resulting in less damage than other flat irons. So i'm just going to start right into the flat iron. My hair has already been blow-dried the night before and which is in a couple of braids and to flat iron. I just prep it i'm just putting it into four sections and for when i blow dried um right after it, while it was still wet, i just add a little bit of oil. Then i go over it with that ors, hair lotion and then the tresemme heat protectant and i'm sometimes i had a little bit of shea butter afterwards and then i just put it into four sections and blow dry using the um. What is it called tension method and then i just spray a little bit more of the heat protectant before i start flat ironing, and then i just comb through it again real quick to make sure there's no tangles and then i'm going to use a small or A rat tooth comb to do the chase method to make sure it's straight all the way through to the ends. Okay, so here we go using the flat iron. So i just kind of like go over the roots, a little bit real, quick because it's the coarsest part and then i'm just gon na glide through the hair, and you can see how smooth it glides through no snagging like this is the smoothest flat iron that I'Ve ever used it glides through like butter. The plates are 3d floating tourmaline infused ceramic plates, so that really helps with the smoothness of your hair and keeping it smooth and frizz free, and you can see that i'm doing pretty thick pieces. But that's just because i want to get through it quicker and it's going to give me a bit of a fuller look. So if i was gon na do thinner pieces, i would get like that more super sleek straight silky smooth, like you know what i mean like that super super straight sleek look, but you can see even we're doing um the thicker pieces. It still straightens pretty good. It'S still you're still getting a pretty smooth and shiny. Look though, but it's just going to be a little bit on the fuller side. You know just not as sleek, so that's just what i actually wanted this time you know. Sometimes i prefer a little bit poopier. Then sometimes i, like the super super street uh, wait super straight sleek look and i'm only doing just one or two passes on each piece. Do my um - and this is the finished result and yeah. So, as you can see it has that nice more fuller type of look. You know it's a little bit thick, it's like it's poofy, but i don't really look poofy poopy. It just looks like it's a bit kind of thick and full. So i kind of like that - and it may appear a little bit oily at first because of the products that i use, but it's okay, y'all and i don't mind it. It'S okay for me, and usually it's usually just like that right when i first straighten it, but it's usually yeah.
