Cute Hairstyles For Short Hair! +First Time Using Heat Since I Shaved My Head

Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel. My name is kayla rose and today i'm going to be trying out different hairstyles for really short hair. Now i won't lie to you: i'm not typically a hairstyle person. However, i've just been trying to get my bangs out of my eyes and i think today, i'm also going to be getting a heat curler and it's going to be the first time i'm going to be putting heat on my virgin hair, since, before i dyed it, The first time, which was years and years and years ago so with this being said, let's go ahead and go to sally's. I didn't bring my tripod, so i don't think i can film in the car yeah. Okay, i'm just gon na film. When i get to sally i'm back in the car from sally's, i got the little curling wand while i was in there. I was looking at all the different options and i noticed that every single one that i was potentially interested in didn't have a price tag on it and i was like oh that probably means it's expensive. So i had her price check. The florally pattern handled one and it was like 54. and then she checked a different one. That was like 52 dollars, and i was like i'm not really trying to spend that much money, literally right next to this little flat iron that i was looking at, because i was gon na resort to like a little flat iron. Just so i could curl the ends or something i found this little curling wand. I think it's gon na work. I hope it works. Probably gon na go, get boba and then go back to the house so i'll catch. You back at the house. Hi super off topic, but i just got back from boba i walked in and i was standing in line and i noticed this girl. She was kind of tall. I was wearing converse jeans and then some sort of crop top with a belt plaid thing over the top half purple, half black hair. She had like a bucket hat over the top of it or something anyway, as i was saying there, i was waiting in line and she came walking past and she kind of got a little bit close to me and she said i really like your dress and I was like, oh, my dress is like super floral and really girly and she seemed like she had the opposite style, but it was just really cute. So shout out, if you happen to watch my videos, which i doubt you do, but if you do, i thought your outfit was really cool and your hair looks nice. So there's that so yes, it is a little bit later. I changed because i didn't want to be wearing the dress anymore. I think before i get into curling, i'm going to show you some of my everyday hairstyles that i like to go for one of them being this one, and now that my hair is long enough to check behind my ears. I think it's so cute. I didn't do anything special to make it dry like this. I just did it, but sometimes if i want like a really curved outward look put my hair over like this, while it's wet and then i'll shake my hair and like chop it between my hands like this, i don't know why i'm winded so what i typically Use are little rubber brands likely up to the same color. First, look: i will show you my everyday go-to work. Hairstyle, you take your hairbrush and you like this, try to make it even on both sides. So pull it like this and i don't know why it's designing to be super voluminous today, but usually it's like flat against my head, not terribly flattering, but i hairstyle nonetheless, and it keeps my bangs out of my eyes. This is the first one i like it. It'S simple: it's easy takes less than two minutes to do so very good for days where you're in a rush, hairstyle number two is a different variation of that same exact thing, split it down the center kind of look like uh munchkin, going to greet not wendy. What'S her name, not darla who's, the main character in wizard of oz, it starts with a w. Doesn'T it anyways you brush it back, and then i brush the back section where i want it to split down like that, just so it doesn't get caught in the hair time. I'M gon na try and make the part on the bottom side. Around the same, you can see - and it's probably not around the same at all. This is probably the most even they've ever looked in my entire life, which is fantastic i'll, give you a so notice, don't stomp around in a circle. When i go to the 360 view, noted look number three is another variation of that last one that i just did we're going to be dutch braiding it for this one i will put water in my hair when your hair is dry. I feel like the hair sticks out everywhere and makes it a little bit more difficult, split it down the center again, that's not center. I don't do hairstyle videos typically, because i'm not very good at it from the front. So you take your fingers and you run your hands through your hair like this, so you have three sections going out: grab this far section first and bring it under the middle one: go underneath the one that i just pulled to the center and grab that one And grab the far side on the opposite and pull it under the middle. Once you get the gist of that you're going to start adding some hair to those sections that you're pulling so i'm going to reach over pull it under oh crap anyways. That should kind of be what you're supposed to do, but i don't know why my hair just decided to go full crazy mode right there and your braids all done you take the hair tie and you tie it off, and you know if you're a little bit Better at braiding, it's gon na turn out a little bit better and notice. I was only picking up hair from this side. I wasn't coming back and picking up hair for the side that i was pulling over here. It'S always the second braid that either turns out better or worse, trying to pick up the same amount of hair. To start with, it looks terrible so why i don't do hair tutorial videos. This is what the top looks like. Sometimes i really like my hair to stick up like this. I just think it's cuter, like a white, 2k kind of look. I like this one on days where i have a little bit. Oh, my god, it's forming a little heart on the top of my head. I feel high fashion, i feel vogue with my detergent stained t-shirt on we're gon na put more water in my hair, i'm going to attempt splitting my hair. Oh my god, my hair is doing the thing like alice from twilight. The little dark, haired girls alice, she's, really weird next one is variation of the last one that i just did shocker. This is why these hairstyles aren't ideal for when i'm going to work because they have the ability to just make me super frustrated. It probably looks terrible, i don't know if i'm gon na do the other side i'll, tell you what i'm adding here, i'm adding hair right now, not adding hair, i'm just pulling it under adding hair right now, not adding hair. Oh ideally, i want it to look like this, so this side turned out ten times better and, as you can see, as i do with the 360 view, some of the pieces are wanting to fall out. It'S a little bit loose. It'S not the most perfect thing on the world. It will keep your bang pieces tucked away. If you have the time and you have the patience, this is one to definitely try. This is the look. What'S the knife, that's the last of the braids that i'm going to be doing today, split it down the center. I have two sections like this: i'm gon na flip it over a few times. I'M gon na grab from the section that i'm about to twist over like this and i grab another section from this front way, flip it over adding to this section this front one i'm pulling forward this one, i'm pulling back folding it over like this and then Behind our ear, like that, we're gon na attempt to do that same exact thing on this side. As you can see, i finished the side and it doesn't look very good, but anyways this side looks fantastic. Let'S take an example from this side, i like how the bottom hair swoops out a little bit. You could probably imitate that with a flat iron or do the thing that i said earlier, where you flip your head over where your hair is really wet and just go like that between it. I just went to walmart, so i could pick up some heat protectant spray. It'S by tresemme. It heats up to 450 degrees, usually the hack that i would use to curl my hair back when it was longer was. I would flip my hair upside down. Put it in a ponytail like at the very very top of my head curl, it all the way around, and it was really easy to see which bits you had curled in which bits you hadn't curled and then, when you let it down. It created like really big voluminous curls, my hair's too short to do that right now. I will literally douse my hair in this. I should do my hair. I like curling wands compared to curling irons, where they have like that little clasp. How do they make these things ready for war like i'm gon na, go out and fight a battle and curl my hair at the same time, ah set it there and wait. I watched a compilation of a few clips from icarly and i think it's all heated up, i'm so nervous. This is the first time using heat on my natural hair, because the reason i shaved my head was to have healthy hair and now i'm putting heat on it, and it's really scary. So please don't make fun of me. Oh i'm used to my other curling wall that i have where it has a tip, that's the same as the bottom part, so i can put my hand on it, and this is not one of those ow ow. No, that little curl turned out. Oh ow not sure if it's worth it quite yet, i'm almost done. I just need to do this little unicorn horn, section. Look how long my bangs are. I think i'm going to curl them towards my face. Okay, cute all right. So this is what i got going on right now: 360., my god, okay, i love curly hair, no matter if it's type, one to four from a to c, i think girly hair is just so beautiful and i've always admired people who've had curly hair.
