What'S up sisters welcome back to my channel, i am here to update you on my current natural hair routine and how i achieve this look stay tuned and don't forget to like comment and subscribe. Okay, so i like to start off with freshly shampooed conditioned in detangled hair, so i've been using the main choice: type 4, leaf clover, shampoo and also the conditioner. I'Ve been using the tgi and triple moisture replenishing conditioner. Both of these are type 4 friendly. I am type 4b with a little bit of a with a tiny bit of c. It doesn't take much for me to detangle my hair because it's short right now, but i do use a shower comb to detangle and sometimes finger detangle beforehand. I like to use the main choice: leave-in spray, the type four leaf clover, one when i'm using gel to define my curls. So there's less build up. So i just spray that all over and then i go back over with the shower comb to comb that through and make sure there's no more tangles in my hair. Next, i'm going to section off my hair. It makes things a lot easier when going through. If you watch my channel or previous videos - and you know how i section my hair - i like to section the top first from the rest of my hair and then i go through and section the sides from the back. This just makes it a lot easier and quicker to go through my hair and style it. So what's new to my routine, is the tgim mirror curl styling gel? Usually i use the brown eco style gel or fantasia gel. This is a clear gel and it has biotin and black castor oil in it, which is great for my postpartum shedding. Now that i have three under three, it's important that i style my hair really quickly. So i'm doing much larger sections compared to before. I start off by spraying my hair with my yellow curl refreshing spray, which will help soften the curl once it dries and keep it from having such a hard feeling from the gel and then i'm applying the tgin mirror curl gel from root to end to saturate. It'Ll help clump the curls and control frizz and then i'm taking the denman brush and brushing that through and curving it upwards or flip to help give that bump or curl at the end of my strands. I repeat this step on both sides of my head and also in the back, i'm going to show you again up top repeating those same steps, i'm going to take a large section from the top and clamp the hair away, and then i'm going to spray. My hair with the myel curl refreshing spray comb that through and then apply the gel to my hair clumping my strands together and then take the denim brush to define the curls curl upwards with the denim brush and let the curls form at the end. Try not to touch too much, then i'm gon na repeat the same steps all the way. Through with this technique, i would say the ends are more important than the roots. You definitely want to get that curl. At the end, the roots are going to add volume. Pretty much definitely as it ages throughout the week and you can just fluff at the ends - and you know unflip those flat spots just by picking at the root but not pulling all the way through where you'll mess up the ends of the curl. So, as you can see the denman brush, i use it just like i would use a curling iron and just curl under or flip the ends just to get that bump and once i shake it out and separate the strands from each other. You'Ll see the curls form now, for some reason i lost footage. I don't know how i lost footage, but i did but i'll add how i separate the curls later, but i'ma show you at the back of my head at the nape, where shorter i just finger. Coil, that's right because it's the shorter pieces and it's easier to do. Oh - and here is the example i was talking about. This is some old footage, but this is how i separate the curls. I take the ends of a comb and just pick at it slightly. Not damaging the curls but just separating them, and since my hair is longer, i do shake it now. For my edges, i've been using the even family size, 25 hour edge tamer. This is a great investment. It'S like 16, but the jar lasts a long time and i like using this on top of gel, sometimes or gel on top of it, and it just lays my edges down really really well, i'm using a edge brush. You can find a beauty supply store. It'S one of those double sided ones with the toothbrush at the end and the comb at the other end, i'm shaking my curls a little bit more to you know, help them separate a bit. You can see the curls are a bit bigger compared to my other time, and that's just because the larger sections i did just to get through my hair faster now to add some shine and some oil. I use the cream of nature. Argan oil anti-humidity shine and mist great to control, frizz and add shine like i've been asking about the little bandies i've been wearing and they are from the wrap life. I have these in several colors also from the wrap life. I have um some head wraps and i think i've been asking me to do some head wrap tutorials on how i've been wrapping my hair for the past year, but this is how i um accessorize with the bandy. I just wrap it around around the tips of my ear and the nape of my neck or head and just tie. It once create these bunny ears at first and then i'm going to take those two bunny ears and cross them over to the opposite side and tuck the ends in it's quite simple, nothing serious! I wouldn't tie the bandy too tight because when it can give you a headache and then it can kind of forcibly untie itself if you do too tight, so just think of it, like just think of it, like you're, creating a headband on your head with it. So just tuck the ends in um. This can be tedious sometimes, but i really enjoy them. They have like. They have different textures. If you go on the site, you'll see, i forgot the ones i got, but they're the stretchy ones to put that way. So that concludes this tutorial in my current natural hair routine. For my twa, i hope you really enjoyed it. Forgive me if i sound stuffy, i'm a little sick right now, but thanks for watching don't forget to subscribe, comment and check out my other videos. Peace out sisters,

Keenya Williams: Absolutely loved this. I recently Big Chopped again after being Natural for 10 years, but it was never this short. So it is like I'm relearning my hair all over again. Love this look and plan to try it, I think my hair is about this length now.

Imani Dupree: I just big chopped again after 4 years to this exact length!!!! So happy I found a great tutorial!! And we have the same curl type.

imani abdul-rahman: This video was so informative for me. Thank you so much! I cut ALL my hair off last week and I followed your video to a T and it turned out so beautifully.

The Energy Goddess Victoria : Whoa! Girl you are gorgeous I just did my last big chop I am ever going to do since my hair was very damaged. When my hair get your length I am coming straight to this videos. Love the work!

Candance Ford: So cute!!! I'm in the process of letting my natural grow so I can try this style.

caribbean_brown_spice: I've been so tempted to cut my hair! The only reason I'm hesitant about doing so is because I don't want my hair looking a hot mess! Lol. You make it look so easy, and your hair looks gorgeous

Maria Rita: Maravilhosa, finalização perfeita, eu amei.

Educated Brown Girl: I can only pray that my hair comes anywhere close to yours lol

leuqar rekattihw: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have never seen such an effective step by step styling process for 4A-C hair like mine. I like a short cut not, TWA. But getting consistent curl is always a challenge. The products were super helpful as well as your instruction. Bless you!

Shawnna Halls: This was so simple. I’m definitely gonna try this tonight! Thank you!

SaystheBird: Yesss, thank you for sharing this specific curl routine. I've been looking for different ways to perfect my own curl styles and I'm eager to try this one. Much love to you, dear

Rene Little: Welcome back Carmen! I really missed your videos. You were instrumental to me learning how to work with my natural, short hair after my hairdresser butchered it last year giving me a TWA that I hadn’t requested. I’m now rocking my locks and loving them. One thing that I still struggle with is maintaining the definition after the initial set. The first day my hair looks great but after that my hair frizzes and/or flattens from my satin cap. What are your secrets to combatting frizz and flattening post day one? And congrats on your third.

Crystal Foster: Very pretty. Your hair looks shiny and healthy. I love the wrap accessory. . .

Candice Richard: I’m so glad I came across your video. I cut my hair back in December and now that it’s grown out, the struggle has been real lol.

K. Cooper: Love it Carmen! Thanks!! My hair is this length now and I've been looking for footage on how to style it in a way that makes me feel more confident than my current "fingers crossed" approach does.

ReigningGlory: Those intricate baby curls are super adorable. You did that! Picture perfect!

Tawana Bruce: Yass! Your hair is beautiful, now I’m going to try the new products! Thank you for all of your wonderful tips and tutorials!!!

Free spirit: One of the best hairstyles I’ve seen on YouTube. Adorable and lovely on you. Your whole look is flawless.

Porcsha_the_Foodie: Love, love, love this style!!!! You did an amazing job gorgeous

Najeebah Swanson: This is the first video of yours that I have seen and I really appreciate it. I just chopped my hair, something I do atleast once a year, and wanted something quick to do. This is awesome, so thank you❤️

L H: This is absolutely beautiful! This is a great technique for people who don't want to finger coil ALL of their hair. Thanks for sharing

Whitney Lynn Brown: Love it!!! My TWA has grown out tremendously..I’m trying this style today..Thank you!!!

cutenbubbly922: This is such a cute look, and it's so cool how you achieve it. I can't wait to try it.

It’s Wine O’clock: Super cute. I’ve been in a style rut with my hair and the length it has gotten to but this is so beautiful.

Kameron York: Hi Lynette, new to your channel. This was a very helpful video, your hair looks phenomenal! I love love the products you introduced and the reasoning behind your choices. I have medium/long length and I don't do wash n gos because I get a lot of shrinkage. But I'll try it with your method and products so I can at least have that definition without the crunchiness of the gel, even if I still get the shrinkage. And I do have a Denman brush.

Chenae Foster: Finally a video that’s was simple and easy to follow THANKYOU❤️❤️

Ms. Parker: The “roots” are located beneath the ground, or in this case beneath the scalp. The hair is from the scalp down to the end of the hair strands. Great results

Learning. Growing. 🌱: SO BEAUTIFUL! you're a natural beauty and I'm grateful for the hair idea <3
