How I Achieve My Curly Afro On Short Natural Hair | Moisture & Volume!

Hey you guys it's selea and i'm back with another video. So today, i'm finally going to show you how i get this super nice fro on my short natural hair. You guys have really been loving it in some of the videos that i've been posting. So i'm going to show you guys how i achieve it, so just stay tuned. So of course i started on freshly washed hair. I used nature's little secret, vanilla bean shampoo and the chocolate conditioner now these are no longer sold, but i do recommend nature's little secrets. Other products so yeah, my hair, is nice and clean. But now i'm going to first oil, my scalp, using my goddess curls, define hair elixir. I'M going to apply this all over my scalp so that my scalp is nice and moisturized doesn't flake doesn't itch and it also is going to help promote hair growth, so um everything will be linked down below if you're interested. So now i'm going to take my spray bottle of water and i'm just going to spray all over my hair make sure my hair is nice and trenched so that my curls will be able to receive moisture. It'S going to help open up my cuticles and the product i'll be using today is just a one: stop shop, it's the kennedy's essentials curly styling pudding! This is infused with marshmallow licorice and burdock root, but it also has rice, oil, sunflower, irish moss, honey aloe. So it has some really great ingredients, it smells amazing - and this is literally my go-to product right now to moisturize and style, my hair, if you have dry hair, this is amazing. You can use it for all type of styles: braid outs, twist outs, flat, twists, wash and gos um, so yeah loving this product um. I talked about it in my current favorite products, video. So if you missed that, i will have it linked below, but instead of doing um moisturizing my hair, how i typically would going section by section and then twisting and repeat: i have been doing it this way where i literally take a nice amount of the product And just apply it all over my hair um. I don't know if this will work as my hair gets longer, but right now it's working amazing. It'S literally shaved off like 20 25 minutes off of my styling and twisting or braiding routine. So this is definitely a time saver and once i go in and section my hair, i do go in with my brush and that also will help to distribute the um product even more to make sure it's getting all of my strands, so yeah y'all, if you Haven'T tried it like this? Definitely do i don't know why i haven't thought of this, but it's literally been a lifesaver, so i have already parted off my first row of hair. This will have like two twists um, so i'm just going to take my spray bottle. One more one, last time and spray it on down make sure my hair remains wet. Then i'm going to take my tangle teezer, like i told you guys and brush my hair through this, is going to help make sure my hair is nice and smooth um so that i have a nice smooth twist and twist out, and then it also is going To help distribute that product and make sure all of my strands get coated, so my curls really really they were popping, so they do love this product. But now i am just going to to strand twist since my hair is already moisturized. I don't have to go in with extra product or anything literally just twist and repeat the same steps, so i'm going to just fast forward through this process. It'S pretty self-explanatory, um but yeah, like i said, um doing it. This way has made the process quicker. You'Ve been on alone, you know what i see your baby, so i have finished my hair and now i'm doing a little spin around 360. So you guys can see what it's looking like and then i'm just going to air dry overnight, since my hair is shorter. Now i really haven't been using my hooded dryer, like i typically would, but if you need to do so, go ahead and do so now, honestly, i believe this was like two days later um. It was raining the day i was supposed to take it out, and so i was like. Let me not even waste this beautiful twist out, because i had things to do so. Yeah. Two days later, i took some of my goddess curls to bind here elixir to my hands to help with shine, help reduce quiz, and now you just see me unraveling my twist and the definition is great. The shine's great, the moisture is great, so i'm gon na fast forward through this and then i'll separate like i typically do just taking small pieces of hair and yeah repeat, you know what i see baby i just so now that my hair is unraveled and separated. I'M going to take my goddess curls hair pick. These are now available for purchase you guys it comes in this black one um with the white logo, goddess curls, and then it also comes in pink with a black logo. So yeah i'll have the link down below, but i'm just going to use this to pick and fluff my hair, you guys it has nice long teeth, so i can get up in those roots and i'm just going to shape my hair. The way i like it. So this is the first day you guys, i usually don't get my fro until the second day and beyond. So i'm going to show you this first and i'll. Show you how i end up rocking the front. Oh, so this is first day hair. This is what my hair is looking like super cute with it's like the i don't know the curly bang look um i've really been liking to do my hair. This way, since my hair's been short, but yeah super soft smells good to find. So i am going to just show you guys do a little 360, all that good stuff and then i'll go to sleep. Y'All know at night time. I don't do anything, so you will see my hair the next day and how i refresh it and get it into the nice, so this is the next day, so this is second day hair. I have not touched my hair. This is how it looked when i woke up, but i did like change my clothes and you know, do my face and all that, but yeah i'm going to basically just fluff this on out to get even more volume and really just get that fro look. So this time i'll be using my pink goddess, curls hair pick um. Before i start picking my hair out, i am going to add a few drops of my divine hair elixir just to add some shine, a little bit moisture, all that good stuff and then i'll literally just start picking for my life and once my hair turns into This fro, i honestly don't really care about definition, all that much so i'm not really like super careful and all that when it comes to picking i'm just more so worried or more so focused on the volume and just getting it nice and big. So i'll. Just let you guys watch that process as well is so i did go in and just do my baby hairs edges just a little bit. Nothing extravagant um, but this is the final look and y'all. I really love this fro whenever i wear my hair hair like this, i get so many compliments, even when, like it's on the freaking fourth fifth day in my hair, i think my hair looks like a mess, but people love the fro and i do too so Yeah, let me know what you guys think about this video.
