Laughing, I I call it if I mean like even like no matter like what they all have some different welcome back to my channel to all of my kings and queens. It'S Alexis crown here and I'm here with another video out for y'all. Okay. So, basically, you need to hit that subscribe button and give this video a thumbs up. If you want to see more videos and don't forget to comment down below because you're getting content, all gon na see me on y'all YouTube timeline. Okay, so this video was actually requested by a new subscriber shoutout to you. You know who you are. Oh. He actually asked me to do this tutorial. So basically, my hair is in the pineapple. This is what it looks like just straight out the bag. Without me doing anything to it, and I'm going to demonstrate for you guys how I get to my afro and how I pick it out. Basically, I'm just going to be showing you how to properly pick out an afro without damaging your hair. So you know back in the old days they used to pour the pic all the way through through the ends. I don't do that and I'll show you why, because that actually can rip your ends out so alrighty. So, starting out last video, it was my pig nose, my moisturizer I'll go, get it cuz, that's an important step. Let me go get and we're back with oil. So this is the Africa's best coconut growth, oil, okay, so um, I'm only going to put a little bit on here, but you can take really whatever type of oil or motion arises that you want to use. I don't do this every day, but I can't wash my hair into Wednesday and today is currently Monday and it's filling the little dryer and a little crusty. So it's past my wash day, so I'm just gon na give this a little splash in my hand, smells so good, so we're just gon na rub that in like so okay. Now, after, like I say, I don't do this every time so now, now that we have all my sharks are in now we can start with the process of bringing the hair and letting it form into the fro. So before I go it in with the pic I kind of just let it naturally follow with my hands to see how much I'm gon na have to pick it out. I kind of shake it out like this a little bit through this training. I'Ve discovered finding you, I'm finding me come in down below female, but show this from got ta be a little have a little age under your bill to know what show that's from I'm talking like this, so real I'll see, calm! Okay, now that my hair is moisturized, it's time for the fun part, what you all came here to see time to pick it up. Okay, so, like I said, it's a way way way past my wash day, but so take your pick. Whatever pick of your choice, honestly, I've tried all different type of picks, plastic ones, blah blah blah, but this one works the best for me, cuz it's the longest and I need something to get up in there. So, let's get started so. Firstly, I start with the back of my hair cuz, you see it's like standing up, so this is the part. That'S really like you want it to lay so start at the foundation and then work your way up. So just start at one side and I'll. Do it slowly and then I'll speed it up for y'all? So let me get a little bit. Okay, so first you get in there and you pull, but you see most Naturals don't have their hair cut in like a 70's style afro. If you do, you can pull all the way through, but most people just have their hair just in an old twist out of old wash and go so if you yank all the way through through the ants that's going to tear your hair, that's gon na rip! Your hair, you don't want to do that. Some people even detangle their hair like this, unless you have the smoothest, loosest, curl pattern in the world in order to comb through your hair, like with the ends through the end, so you want your hair to be wet. Almost super super moisturizes, but since I'm doing it on dry hair, like I do most days, you're just gon na go in and pull it down go in, pull stop at the ends. Go in pull, stop at the end, go and pull stop at the end. Grab a little section go and pull stop at the end. So what you're doing you? Basically, all this part that smashed down right here, you're, basically just bringing it back to life and letting it rise up, so I'm gon na speed it up a little bit. So it kind of looks like I'm just doing this, but I'm actually pulling and yanking it out so fast before I go to the ends that it kind of just looks like that. So, like I said, make sure you get the back in the foundation. First, honey bring it back to life. Yes, yes, okay, so I'm only gon na do this side. Usually I go to church, but I'm just gon na do this off for comparison purposes. You see you see now all of this that was pushed back from the pineapple and land flat. It'S coming back to life for us, so I'm super simple thing, but you want to be very careful with this because you can easily damage your hair rip your hands and you know your ends is how you grow your hair. So if you not maintaining your ends, honey you're, not gon na maintain any leave their growth. We love okay, so you basically just stretching the roof. You basically just stretching the roots everything that lay flat and got smashed down when your hair was in a pineapple or in your bonnet or in your twist you're, basically just undoing all of that and bringing it back to life now doing a pineapple does keep your Hair stretch throughout the night, but, like I said it does you know, reform everything and make it look a little crazy when you try to take it down just like any pond yourself honestly, so you just want to for me back to its regular style. Okay. So now turn it back up for y'all, so just just for comparison's, you can see the clear difference in this side. First off this side of my hair is actually touching my neck. It'S touching my collarbone. This side is still you know, laying like dangling in the air, still stretched out this way, because it's still in the form of my ponytail, my pineapple. So you see this has a little bit more round shape to it and I still have some pickin to do, but I'm just showing you this for demonstration purposes. So you can see the clear difference now see. Y'All see the difference, and this side is a little bit more fluffy. Okay, now that y'all see the difference. So, let's flip all of this van Gogh and let's get to the end, results: okay, because oh and I'm not even boosting and I'm not even joking but honestly like I get stopped all the time like in the store by family members. All my like! It'S just! I get stopped all the time about my hair and now just had like a big form that I can just constantly talk to people who actually wants to hear about it. I'M gon na actually cares about the tips you know and it's our choice to hear about because y'all subscribe because y'all, my friends, we are family, this, the royal family, I'm Alexis crown and you know, y'all Peter John Sam Samantha, Britney, Sarah Jane Joe and John. A DNA penny Oscar jewel, you know y'all my people and the rest of y'all. I can't say everybody made my camera. Okay that'll just be too much I'll expecting too much out of me. So if I miss your name, I'm sorry comment your name down below. So I can say all my family in the next video, if you want me to say your name in the next video comment down below and I make sure I said: cuz y'all, my peoples, okay, y'all, can we stay. It looks so much better. Now, like honestly see that wasn't that wasn't that bad and let me tell you so many people say all hair goes oh wish. My hair can get like that. Oh dead urdead, it up. Obviously I didn't think my hair could get like this. I didn't discover my hair can get like this until this year and that's all that it all comes with styling honestly. So I used to always do like the twist outs and they will lay flat and my hair will have no volume at all. But it's not like. I switched hair types. It'S not like anything changed. My hair grew a little bit, but ultimately everything stayed the same. Besides my styling technique and once you get your styling technique down, then you can manipulate your hair to look like this and I mean so serious, especially for our low for a four beat subscribers out there. Your hair can do this like you. Can I get people all the time who say? Oh, like your hair is so close to my daughter, gon na die. I wish you could get like this. It can do this. It really can, and once I do, my updated Washington go routine to my curl routine. I'M going to show you how step-by-step every product that I use step by step, because if my hair doesn't get like this in a day like that, I have to do second third day hair. So each day I'm gon na take my hair down and show you. Okay, this is first day here. This is second day here, and this is third day here and by the second or third day. That'S when I pick it out. I don't even pick my hair up right after I wash it, so I guess I should stop calling it a wash and go and start calling in my curly hair routine, alright. So now that we kind of have the front going in, I favor a little bit, I mean I still can do some minor adjustments, but I'll pick them out here throughout the day, because that's just how I am I'm going to turn around to show you out The back and then we gon na do the back because your socks and your fur cute, but did she pick the back of your hair? That'S what we got to find out. So let's go okay, so same technique, you don't pull it all the way through you. Don'T wan na rip, you just want to fluff it out and bring it back to life so flip it flip it flip it bring it back to life flip it. Let me fluff it bring it back to life. Okay, the fifth fluffy y'all, like that showed in Sedona, I know yeah and we're back. Okay got it, so this is pretty much all I do and yeah. That is how you get a perfectly picked afro without damaging your curls and without damaging your hair. You almost just fluffing it out you just fluffing it out without bringing it all the way through so soon as you hit a nap release, release release release thanks for watching this video guys comment down below. Hannah Mussette: I can only imagine how many times a day people go up to you asking if they can touch your hair

Miri: Everyone wants hair like this until wash day hits.

Denise Vasquez: “Straight out the bed without me doing anything to it” I can’t even get my hair like that on PURPOSE” That puff was beautiful, that Afro was even more beautiful !

She Is Nia Speaks: black women we are so beautiful can't no other race replica us. I love her style!

gigglyfitzgirl: I can't do afros without getting knots, tangles, and breakage

Denise Vasquez: I sometimes have the issue of OVER picking and it looks like a hot mess

dee c: your hair is goals!! your giving me faith in my natural hair journey. i think my hair will get like that eventually because i definitely had that much hair as a kid. i really wish i would have never permed my hair

TheHeadxTheHeart: I needed to see this video. I’ve got 4b hair and have embraced a minimalistic hair routine where it’s simple and I stopped trying to obtain curls when my hair has micro waves / ziggles that don’t clump into coils anyways. Because of that, fros look best with my hair, and I’ve been trying to find a way to stop my ends from snapping off, cause those single strand knots are my worst nightmare.

restless journey: Afro hair is stunning and magical: Clouds Earth Sunflower Full moon Tree

Cookbooks Welcomed: New subbie.... I'm literally starting at the beginning of your videos and working my way up. Your hair is absolutely beautiful Queen. Love your videos so far. They're just getting better and better. I'm one year into my natural hair journey and I'm a 4a/4b chick so your hair is definitely giving me all kinds of life. Super inspiring to see a queen with your length and texture.

Lacreatia Freeman: my name is Lacreatia and i just cut my hair and went natural in September of 2016 and i got my hair cut into a tapered cut in April of 2017 I love your videos they teach me alot so thank u for taking the time to make them

Michelle Wade: Perfection, Alexus.  Your hair is a showstopper.

Honey Is Natural: This is exactly how my hair looks now. I just got a professional hair cut for the first time. I asked for an Afro/bangs. But what I really got was just an Afro lol. This video is really helping me. Thank you. I mean exact same hair cut.

Sketchnificent: Thanks for this tip Empress. I only been growing my hair for three years now, and I’m still learning how to take better care of it.

jojo s.: bro i’m so happy i’m getting these types of videos poppin up in my recommendations. for 4C texture girls as myself, it’s upsetting and frustrating when trying to find hairstyles/youtubers who possess AUTHENTIC 4C hair. i’m well aware that hair type and texture can vary based on thickness, density, porosity etc. but it’s wholesome to see a melanin queen embracing their naturally kinky, tight-coiled, curls. countless times i’ve seen many videos with “4C” in their title, but when clicking and actually going to watch the video....i gotta give them side eye. ❤️just remember guys your 4C hair is absolutely gorgeous and is just as capable and versatile as any other hair type/texture. Anyone who says otherwise can just be bald.❤️

Bob the Builder: my dream afro

supergirlie123: Hey! This is an amazing tutorial! As for more tips, I'd love to know how you pineapple your hair at night. But if you can do it, there has to be a way! Hopefully others are curious as well? Thanks!

Tiffany Johnson: Love your hair ! You inspired me to wear my afro again. My name is Tiffany just subscribed:)

Andrea Colocho: Hey queen! My boyfriend has an afro. He usually keeps his hair short because he rides a motorcycle but his hair has grown a lot recently. Whenever he picks his hair, I always see him in pain trying to get the knots out. He doesn't usually pick it as it is compressed by his helmet. Is there anything you recommend to make the process of picking his hair easier?

Deborah Williamson: You are beautiful and I am trying to grow my hair out. I know it will take time but with time and patience I hope to get more length and strength.
