Tips & Tricks : How To Curl Hair With A Flat Iron - Pyt Tutorial

Hey guys so today I thought I would film a hair tutorial for you, so my hair is naturally very curly. I don't know if you've seen my previous videos, but I do have naturally curly hair more often than then I personally like to straighten it only because I don't have to wake up early in the morning right now. It'S straight. I did straighten it two days ago. I want to say so today I wanted to show you guys how I curl my hair using a flat iron. I do get a lot of questions about that, so I figured I just fill them a video for you guys and show you how I do it. So this is the flat iron I'm going to be using today it's by PYT. I love this brand. Personally, I have a couple of their products and this one in particular has ceramic plates. So it's good, so you don't damage your hair as much. Obviously, any heat to your hair is not good, but by using a flat iron that has ceramic place, you're not going to do as much damage. Also, you want to make sure you use a heat protectant. So if you want to see how I curl my hair use a flat iron and just keep watching so, first and foremost, I like to go ahead and flip my hair up top and bottom, I'm just going to clip up the top part and then, in the Back I like to separate it in half, so I have the one side and then this other side, so I'm going to go ahead and use this PYT argan oil. This stuff smells like men's cologne. I don't know if you guys have that candle from Bath and Body Works. I want to say it's like mahogany or something mahogany teak wood. It smells like men's cologne. It smells amazing. This smells exactly like that. So I don't know if you're liking it, but I'm loving it. So I'm going to use this today it is a heat, protectant and a serum. So it's going to really make your hair look really sleek and shiny without it looking too oily. So I'm going to put a little bit of this on both sides of my hair, I'm putting it mainly on the ends, because the ends are usually a lot more dry than the roots. So I have my flat iron on 450 degrees, which is the highest setting. Personally, I like using it on the highest setting only because I feel like I only have to do it with one swipe to get the full effect, but again it's personal preference. I am NOT a hair stylist or a professional hair stylist by any means. So definitely just do it according to your hair, so I'm going to go ahead and then just take this piece, I'm going to go ahead and just clamp. It whip it around and then drag it through. So this is what the piece looks like. So the top is more straight and then the end is curled. So it's kind of like a loose, a looser curl than using more of like a curling wand or a curling iron. It'S just very light and airy pretty. So I'm going to go ahead and do this to the other sections of my hair. Just make sure you take one-inch pieces, clamp it twist it around and drag it through. You guys could definitely do this. The higher you go when you twist it the higher the curl will be so I like twisting it kind of right in the middle, so the curl is just at the end, clamp it twist it around, drag it through tip it twist. It around drag it through. So this is the bottom half of my hair. That'S what it looks like just makes it look a little bit more full just the ends, like I said, are curled not all the way to the front, but I do have layers. I have very short layers, so it's very choppy. So when I do the whole head, it just looks more full. If you go out at night, I'm going to do the same thing on the top, I'm going to separate it in half, I'm just going to pin over this side and start on this side. So I'm going to flip this on this side and just take 1 inch sections, clamp it twist. It around drag it down. You don't want to leave the flat iron on any piece of hair for too long. You really want to make sure you're gliding it right through. You can definitely burn your hair if you leave it in one place for too long. That'S why the serum definitely helps because it helps the flat iron pass through it, a lot smoother, so you don't have any like jagged edges. You know when you get those like crimps in your hair hate that yeah you so now the front piece of your hair likes the crown area right in the front. You want to curl it away from the face, so I'm going to clamp it twist. It back and then pull it down, so it's curling away. Then you could just run your fingers through it. So it's a little bit more loose so far. This is taking me only about 15 minutes and I do have a lot of hair. So this letter is definitely bomb okay, so this last P is same thing: I'm going to curl it away, so I'm going to clamp it twist. It out, pull okay. So now that my hair is fully curled, this is what it looks like now. I'M going to go ahead with that serum again, just because not only does smell good, but it really does make your hair feel super super soft. So I'm just going to take a little bit of that and then just run it through the ends of my hair. One more time, just so, the curls can last a little bit longer and be a little bit more silky. I want to say, run your fingers through it just so that the curls break up a little bit and they're, not so tight. So last thing I'm going to do before I'm pretty much finished. Is I'm going to take this PYP dry shampoo and I'm going to use it not so much for like a dry shampoo, but I'm going to use it more as like um a volumizer. So I'm just going to split my hair up and then just spray it in the roots - and I just rub this: it doesn't leave a white film on your hair either, which is awesome, especially if you have dark roots, and this also smells really really nice. Do the same thing to the other side so because my hair was pretty flat before because it was straight, I did need a little bit more volume now that it was curly very full, very voluminous, very silky feeling, okay guys. So that's going to complete the video. This is the final outcome. I'M loving, loving, loving in. I think it's very romantic. I think it's very full, very mermaid II.
