The exotic shorthair cat is very similar to the persian cat, except for its birth. This resemblance is genetically justified, as the exotic shorthair breed is a result of a mixture between Persians, American Shorthair and British short-haired cats. This particular breed combined both vitality and tranquillity. Equally, they are an ideal companion for families with children. This breed adores life at home and spending hours playing. If you want to know more about this adorable and characteristic cat keep watching this animal wise video to find out more. As we have previously mentioned, exotic Shorthairs originated from a cross between Persians and American or British Shorthairs. The exotic short a became popular in the 60s and 70s. However, it was only consolidated as a breed in 1967, J Martin, who was a feline prejudge, was the first person to mix these breeds. In addition, she was the person who got the CFA to recognize his breed within a new category, as previously they were only considered a Persian variation like that of the Persian. The face of an exotic short-haired cat is flat carrying a white skull, short flat, nose and large eyes. The eye color of this breed are commonly intense and pure normal in color agreement with the fur. This cat can appear in a range of colors from black to white to tabby. There is a classification of exotic shorthair cats which are differentiated according to how flat their faces are. The traditional exotic shorthair have longer noises in comparison to their congeners, who are classified as extremes. The latter are more prone to suffering from mandibular and respiratory pathologies. This breed commonly weighs between 3 & 6 kilograms. Its legs are short and, like the rest of this body, broad and robust, the exotic shorthair carry a short, rounded and thick tail. Its coat despite being longer than the rest of the short head breeze, is significantly shorter than a Persians mantle. This cat is considered one of the most loving and affectionate thin line breeds. Perhaps this is why loneliness to them can be incredibly desolating, a lonely exotic short-haired cat. If lonely can suffer from behavior related diseases besides being affectionate, they are calm and docile cats. Therefore, educating them is easy, they are also very intelligent, faithful and in general, very easy to live with exotic Shorthairs need to be brushed regularly to avoid hair balls. In addition, as with all cat breeds, both internal and external deworming needs to be carried out specifically for those who are often outside or have been adopted, make sure to provide your exotic shorthair with an adequate, high-quality diet, making sure that it receives all of the nutrients. It needs to stay strong and healthy. Environmental enrichment using toys and scrapers are also important in making sure that this cat is constantly stimulated both physically and mentally. Also remember, it is very important to not leave this breed alone for too long as they can suffer from loneliness very easily exotic Shorthairs also have very watery eyes. Therefore, it is recommended to keep them clean with the use of a sterile, gauze and saline water. Generally. This cat breed is healthy. However, some physiological aspects should not be overlooked because it has a flat and short snout. These cats can present respiratory problems. However, this number of problem still remain noticeably smaller than its predecessors. The Persians, because this breed also experience excessive eye tearing it, can cause the eye area to oxidize resulting in infection. If not cleaned, therefore remember to clean the eyes properly and regularly, they are also relatively prone to suffering from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy due to incorrect heart development. Preventative measures need to be taken, make sure that your exotic shorthair is taken for regular vet check-ups and follows an appropriate vaccination schedule. But if you offer your loving exotic, shorthair all of the Care Aetna, including a balanced diet and preventative medicine, you will have a caring friend that will accompany you for an average of 15 years, sometimes even more. poppykok5: Our 9 year old SWEET, Exotic Shorthair, is SO lovable & affectionate...He follows us everywhere & is sitting at the front door waiting for us to walk in when he hears our car being parked...(He knows the sound...) haha...& even follows us into the bathrooms where he likes to sit in the bathtub, or gets in between the shower curtain & liner & stares at us while we...well...ummm...yeah... just are just "sitting" ourselves...hahaha This LoveBug has a long list of true quirks & is constantly cracking us up...For example, we have to go into "stealth mode" whenever we open our fridge door, because if he RACES to it before we can close the door, he's already half inside & licking everything he can get his lips on...like meatloaf gravy (is his elixir), butter wrappers & peas are even a fave of his...One year ago we brought home (another SWEET boy), a longhaired Biggggg rescue mix, who the other cat, Finn, is still outrageously jealous of (& the "boss") beyond our wildest imaginations...Frequently, giving Nelson the "stink eye" & then chases him off until both of them settle down for their afternoon naps (just inches away from each another) on my son's bed... You just HAVE to love cats if you love laughing & being entertained by them...LOL... *: )*
