Hey guys welcome back to my channel, thank you so very much for watching today, i'm going to be walking you through how to style your hair with the plopping method overnight for all my lazy folks out there and biggest of thank yous to eva nyc for sponsoring Today'S video, i will be using their products throughout this video to create these overnight wavy curls, let's go ahead and jump on in the shower be sure to subscribe. If you have not already and give this video a thumbs up, because it's gon na be great trust. Me, okay, let's get in the shower! Oh girl, we are starting off with some fluffy hair, so i am just jumping off with the eva nyc main magic 10 in one shampoo, and this is kind of more geared towards dry hair types which i find works for. My highlighted bleached wavy, curly hair, it's chock full of argan oil and i really really enjoy it and then we are jumping in with the same main magic tenon one, but in the conditioner - and i used way too much conditioner. Did you see that amount in my hand? I really don't know what i was thinking and the crazy part is that i then added even a little bit more at the end but um this conditioner. I absolutely love for some reason. I guess it's the argan oil. I feel like it just adds shine to my hair, like i feel genuinely, as though my hair looks shinier when i use this conditioner and especially as a blonde. My hair can just look so dull, so i'm always looking to add shine all right, girly pop. We are fresh off the shower and we're going to be jumping right on in with eva nyc's brand new product. It is the got ta bounce curl, defining cream and it is sulfate free, silicone, free, paraben, free cruelty, free and to top it all off. It'S vegan. This product is really great for defining curls, adding that bounce back and, of course, taming frizz and the top three ingredients that really fuel and power. This product are aloe vera, leaf juice, cactus, flour and sweet almond oil, which are all great ingredients for creating that bouncy touchable, curly or wavy appearance. So this is how my hair looks fresh out the shower. Without touching it, i'm going to apply about two pumps worth for my entire head of hair and just for reference. My hair is the shortest that it's ever been. It'S like right above my chest area. I cut it pretty short a couple months back because i'm getting married in a couple months and i wanted to just have like clean, cut, get rid of any split ends and just have really healthy, fresh hair for my big day. So let's apply this baby. So i'm just going to go ahead and scrunch in this product onto like damp hair. I let my hair dry just a little bit in the microfiber towel like i waited like 15 minutes before applying the product for reference for those of you who don't know just what i found. If you apply your product to soaking, wet damp hair you're going to get a much more defined effect in your hair, whereas if you apply product to damper hair you're, going to create a little more of a like. Maybe touchable wave look a little bit more like loose of a pattern depending on your hair texture. Of course, i'm gon na add just a teeny bit more for my roots um. I just like to kind of like get it up in there coat them without weighing them down, so that i can get that really nice first day volume, which is always my goal personally, hello, folks, fancy meeting you here, we have moved into my bedroom and now We are going to plop with a long sleeve t-shirt. I personally find flopping to be significantly easier with a long sleeve t-shirt. So that's what i'm going to be doing here for you today. So all you want to do is flip your head over and place all of her hair in the center and then plop it down plop next you're gon na want to fold up the top of the t-shirt, and these will work as your ties you're. Next, going to simply fold the back over your head and then bring the ties together and then bring the sleeves together in the back, and i actually just tie it in the front. There is two key things that i'd like to bring to your attention when plopping number one. I hear a lot of you say that you get very weighed down roots when you plop and for me personally. I have experienced this in the past as well, but i really do find that that mostly comes from tying the hair from tying the sleeves in the back, because then it kind of like weighs it down in the back and kind of like flattens out the roots. Whereas if you tie the sleeves to the front, i feel like everything is just kind of lifted up and the roots of my hair are almost like straight up and down, and i feel like i get fantastic volume. The next day number two i'd like to bring to your attention that while plopping is great and highly highly recommended in the wavy and curly haired community, it is something that you don't want to do continuously day after day every day, uh. If you are plopping overnight, often or if you're popping for eight hours at a time during the day, you are essentially creating a warm wet, moist area for fungi to live and thrive, which can then turn into conditions like dandruff and dermatitis. I am well aware that plopping is such a highly renowned and loved method in the wavy and curly hair community, but i did just want to bring this to your attention, because your health and safety always of course comes first, all right. Let'S go to sleep and wake up with beautiful hair howdy folks it is the next day and as you can see, i slept a little crazy last night um. It actually did stay on my head, the entire night, which sometimes it doesn't you know. Sometimes it doesn't mind: oh girl, wait. Oh wow! This actually wait. This looks so good. You see that bounce look at that bounce from the curl bounce. Oh, my gosh love it okay. So this is how my hair looks the next day. It'S still slightly damp at the roots, even though it's been like eight hours um. Obviously, it's been like restricted, so it's still a little damp like at the top in the root area. So what i'm gon na do now is spritz the eva nyc bounce back, curl, reviving mist all over my hair and then i'm just going to shake it out. Flip my hair over and get my hair like big and voluminous for that second day here and this product is a curl, refreshing mist for second and third day hair. It is also sulfate silicone, paraben, free vegan and, of course, cruelty free, all right babes. These are the results for my overnight plopped hair um. I love it. It'S super super defined for me personally and it makes my hair look shorter, but it's like a fun switch up. I just love to switch up. My look i get so bored of looking the same every single day, i'm really happy with it, especially with the volume that i'm getting for first day, hair that i got by sleeping on. I think the volume is awesome and it'll just get more and more voluminous. Each day, i genuinely hope that you enjoyed today's video and found it helpful, especially if you are not as familiar with the plopping method um. I love you guys and biggest of thank yous once again to eva nyc for sponsoring today's video, alright, until next time i'll see you soon bye, guys

Eva Zimm: She had me at “for all my lazy folks out there”

StarryEid: I’m normally a ‘shower in the morning’ type of girl but now with having two jobs late night showers are my only option. Thanks for giving me hope for overnight curls! ❤️

Trinity Faith: I'm pretty sure that if I tried this I would wake up with the shirt on the other side of my room and my hair a mess when I woke up

Phoebe Tonkin: Hey India I don’t know where I’d be without your videos. They mean the world to me

Natasha Letourneau: Those eyes!!! My daughter has the same ocean blue eyes as you!!! She was very blessed! Got them from her daddy ... mine are more green blue BUT you & my daughter literally are blessed!

Alexa’s Curls: Yesss I started doing an overnight routine a few months back and it helps so much.

Sarah Barger: Ok wowwww so when you talked about how plopping nightly can create scalp problems.... this makes so much sense! I dampen my hair and cover it nightly and my scalp has been SO dry! Mind blown. Back to pineappling!

Llama Drama: This was so helpful! My waves aren’t as intense but they still are pretty wild so they need those tips

Linette Arroyo: I’m new to plopping and I love it! I’ve never tried it overnight, but your results are amazing!

Natalie Jenner: Hey India Hope you're keeping well I tried overnight plopping last night and got great results on my 3b curls. I dampened my hair and applied a leave in and gel and I tied my long sleeved tshirt at the front like you suggested and it made such a difference. Always happy to see your hair tutorials and try out your ideas

Jennifer Marie Rios: Thank you for mentioning that you shouldn’t do this everyday it’s true. I was doing this too much and it gave me severe dandruff

Kathy ONeil: THANK YOU for clarifying the difference between applying product on damp hair vs. wet. Makes so much sense!

ab: i’m so happy to have found someone who has the same hair type as me!! you have helped so much in my curly journey!!

Emma Swan: Really great video! I'm new to plopping so there were some great tips in there thanks

liv cosgrove: Oh my gosh thank you so much I’ve been trying to do curls like these forever and it worked!!!!

Soph: Yes!!! I just started plopping my hair and when I take off the shirt my hair looks so much more defined than when I would just air dry! It also gave me lots of volume when usually my roots are very flat. Thank you!!!!

Mandie Atwood: I feel like our curl patterns are so similar, so I can't wait to try this method I've seen being mentioned in other videos I've sort of started watching. I've pretty much moved from makeup and skin care to hair care. Lol. I have Eva NYC's dry conditioner, and I swear by it. Can't wait to try the products you mentioned! Thanks India!!

jose martin chilet: im so happy to see you my dear ❤️ your waves are always so wonderful Sending you a bunch of love and light!❤️❤️✨✨✨

dawn chute: Thank you!!! I have a terrible time plopping!! Gonna try this for sure!!

yopecat: Currently doing a long afternoon plop :) I did long plops when I first started CG a few months ago, but then started trying other things and shorter plopping times. Looking back at photos, my results were way better then, so fingers crossed, going back to the long plop is the answer!

LiaMarieM900: Love it! I plop after I shower for 20 or so minutes and then if I wash at night, i might put a tshirt on my pillow and then just lay down and it drys and curls up so nicely!

Isabella Espinoza: you are my favorite! You and your hair are beautiful!! This helped so much I always have problems with plopping! Thank you <3

thesoftballpitcher1: My favorite plopping shirt is a long sleeve crop top - the long sleeves are so easy to work with but the crop feature means there isn’t extra fabric in the back. And 100% cotton of course

B Ay: Thank you so much for sharing all your hair routines! I like to plop too, but afterwards the back of my hair always looks like a mess...... Especially the lower part Do you have an advice for me? My hair is more on the wavy side and it is a bit longer than yours (maybe that’s relevant ☺️).

Iris: Do a beach week routine for the summer!! Love your videos

TheHeadlessHouseWife: Yall!! I have tried to plop so many times! I feel like it makes my curls look crunchy without actually being crunchy and im really confused. If anyone has advice i would really appreciate the help! God bless:)

SheenaTalks: Thank you!!! I'm about to start working again and now that my son is old enough to be in school I need to change up my morning routine from what it was back when I was working before the world shut down. Love you!!! (Glad you loved my Pot Pie recipe )

Stitch Lightly: I was plopping excessively when I first started and had fungus buildup and TONS of itching. After a lot of trial and error I recently found Cake Scalp Scrub which I HIGHLY recommend. I also followed Spisha's suggestion of rubbing a couple drops of tea tree oil into the scalp after the hair is dry. This is the healthiest my scalp has ever been and my hair feels soft and happy now.

It's Andie: Yasss! I loved the results ❤️ This has nothing to do with the video, but I love your earrings. I think they look so good on curly/wavy girls

Owain H: Awesome video India, I’ve never tried this overnight on wet hair! But I do sleep regularly with dry hair in a plop since my hair is quite short it’s the best I can do without a bonnet lol

Olivia Patterson: This was great. To be honest, I’ve never understood plopping until this!

Jacklyn O'Connor: I love you & your Mom's videos!!! You 2 are absolutely gorgeous, XO. Aren't we ll lucky to have natural curly hair?! I have the same bouncy curls & medium/fine hair as you & definitely will keep this product demo in mind for the next purchase love. Ok...have a question for you beautiful. I know we style our hair what we feel is comfortable & know what is attractive on us. I'm kinda particular about my left side part of scalp/hair...lol! I like a balance of fullness on both sides, I see you like the 'extreme" left part, but I feel out of balance if I styled my hair that way, still looks hot. Nothing wrong with how you style yours, you rock it!! :) There's no wrong or right really in the curly community! I do love your Mom's style as I am 51! Do you ever part your hair in the middle? What is you feedback?

Meghan and Courtney: I love plopping my hair! It makes such a difference.

Zoe: Hi India! Thank you for making this, your videos always brighten my day and make me smile. ☺️ I had an Argan oil styler I loved for a long time but had to stop using it because it was full of silicone also. So super excited to learn about these products!

Maddie George: Hey India! I adore your video so much! How many times a week is safe to plop you hair?

Ervin's Movie Corner: Great hair routine and Happy Weekend, India!❤️❤️

Andrey Elena: Thanks!! I live in Los Cabos Mexico and obviously I go a lot to the beach! So i return late home and I have to wash my hair at night! So really helpful video for me!! Could you do a video how we have to take care of our hair having a beach life please?? Gracias!! ☀️

stacy brewer: My hair would absolutely never in a million years come out like yours did.

GlutenFree Kid: Love your results! I was wondering if you knew of a way to do the “CGM” without scrunching? I have a chronic pain condition and had to quit after doing my wavy hair for seven months, and getting great results, because it was killing my hands.

Lilly Faulknier: I loveeee this video!! Definitely for me as I’ve been lazy with my hair during quarantine lol. ALSO - I saw your poster at Ulta in my town!!! I was like OMGosh it’s India!!!So pretty

The Sewing Wench: Such a good note about not plopping too often especially if you live in the hot humid moist south!! The struggle is real!!!

Lora Beth T: I’m so glad someone else doesn’t apply products to soaking wet hair! I have a very similar hair texture as yours and I tried to follow other tutorials that just didn’t work for me I don’t plop or diffuse, just air dry

Jilleyful: I'm definitely going to try this method!

Sydnie Tarantino: Your eyes are gorgeous I've been binging your videos all day lol so excited to have found your channel!

Jordan Watson: India! What do you tell your hairstylist when you get your hair cut? I feel like I never know what to ask for, and it’s so hard to find someone who can actually cut curly hair!

Christina Stevens: I love your channel, but could you possibly do an updated daily hair routine that isn’t sponsored? I would love to see what you normally used in your hair!

Emm T: Thank you India! Purchased some products and very excited to try them out!

Meg D: Well, I learned something new about how to care for my curls! Thank you. Also, you're absolutely adorable!! :-D

Charity Ridenour: I love how cheerful she is and she is soooo beautiful.

Mprotenic: Hi, thanks for the video. Bought all the products, washed at night, hair popped and was not happy with results, I tried the two times. My hair seemed very dull, I don't feel like I used too much product but that's possible. Any suggestions??

Jc Morton: Purchesed the shampoo, conditioner, and gotta bounce spray, LOVE THEM !!!!!!!! thank you! My curls love these products!!!

Kailyn Toussaint: Omg I found my hair twin. Thank you for this tutorial!!

Jose Contreras: Like it! A good technique if tired at night and needing to sleep

amdp2121: I’ve never seen your hair this good Omd you glowing gal

Lormor4: Wow!! That looks gorgeous!!! I'm trying this tonight. I have a wavy perm and it frizzy a lot of the time. UPDATE: I absolutely love these products!! I had my hair layered because it was all one length and heavy. This product makes my hair look wonderful 1st, 2nd and 3rd day! Love the smell. I've used a diffuser and air dried it and each time turns out perfect! Next I will plop :). Thank you, India!!

Valerie Linares: I cannot get over how beautiful you are! I would not be surprised if modeling agencies reached out to you to offer you a job. Ain't no jealousy here, God created each of us fearfully and wonderfully. And most importantly, though I don't know you personally, I get the impression that you are a genuine and cool person.

AGorejessStone: If you use a mesh wig cap, instead of a t shirt when plopping. It prevents the whole, fungi thing a load better. They're a little hard to stretch out without a hand for super thick or long hair, but it holds way better too.

Caitlin McCord: I came to this video to learn how to plop. Then I learned about brand new hair products. This is the last thing I needed to happen

Jennifer C: Thanks for sharing! So I live in NC and find when I do this it looks great, but as soon as I go outside in the hot humid air I get that hot mess look. Can you recommend any products to help?

Melissa Corrales: Yeahhhhh...my waves/curls never look that good the next morning lol I have to figure out a way for plopping to work overnight for me. I'll try the long sleeve trick and see if that does the trick :)

sophie manrique: you’re hair is so gorgeous! I’m obsessed!

Terry Edwards: LoL love this method. I do a little bit differently though. I plop for 10 to 15 mins. Then defuse my hair until almost dry. Then turn my head upside down and plog it in to a heavy duty hair net. Mine is brown but it comes in other colors. If you search Amazon for Ovation Deluxe Hair Net Pack of 2 Medium Brown. (It should pop up.) I sleep in the hair net and take it off in the morning. Then do exactly what you do, spray on a bit of gel scrunch it and go. I didn't like having wet hair all night. (Edited to add) I love love love the Cantu collection: not expensive, at all. But the best Gel is the cheapest: LA Looks, Extreme sport *(Blue). Also use Eco gel.

Darlene Martens: My hair ends up frizzy when I plop. Straight and frizzy!

Leighanne Garrick: Great video and I love your hair!

corne swartz: Hi India great video! Just want to know if you always use a curlcream alone or do you sometimes use a gel over it? I usually use a light leave-in and then gel but want to try out a curlcream!

Eliza Martinez: When your hair is fuzzy in the beginning, does that mean you brush your hair before getting in the shower? Love your videos India

Khloris: If I could have any hair or curl pattern in the world, it'd be yours

Christine V: Hey India! I've been struggling to find products that work with my hair. I have a slightly wavy texture in the back and a few curls in the front and my hair is really frizzy. I have no heat or color damage. Also I'm on a really low budget ( 10$ or less). It would be amazing if you could give me a few inexpensive options to try out. Thank you!!! Btw love your channel and videos

Angela Crowder: Hi India, I enjoy your videos! Thank you so much!! Have a Beautiful Evening!!!

kiara: Do you regularly plop like this overnight? or only when you know you won't have time for the whole shebang the next morning?

Elizabeth Carroll: Sooo….2 things, I'm going to be the loser that says OMG Phoebe Tonkin commented on your video...both of you ladies are awesome! And how come when you use products with glycerin in the summer, your hair is frizz-free, but when I do, it turns into a giant frizzball?! What's worse is I'm a couple states north from you, so I can only imagine what my hair would look like in Georgia. Thanks <3

Kelli Ann: Looks good! Have you tried the curl cunut products? I’m curious if they work or not.

Abby Walker: Ooo girl I’ve gotten samples of this brands 10 in 2 leave in and I love it. Now you have me sold on purchasing some of their product.

Ashley Cooper: You're gorgeous and your hair is gorgeous

Anna Hill: Does anyone else get scalp issues if they plop overnight too often? Idk why but if I do it too much, I just get dry, itchy scalp and I have to end up using dandruff shampoo for a few weeks to fix it :( Edit: nvm she literally just said it can be unhealthy to plop for longer than 8 hours at a time too much lmao. Sucks though, my hair takes SO long to dry that it would be great if there was a good way to let it dry over night

Megan Emery: Love your hair! #hairgoals

Kate W: I’ve found that when I plop until my roots are totally dry (for example, once on a snow day I slept in big time and then switched into a silk bonnet half way through the day) the curls do not turn out well... like they’re very matted and the roots are weighed down a lot

Hailee Moudy: Absolutely love your videos! I’ve curious about the brand L•U•S, have you tried this or would you consider doing a review? ❤️

Samantha Summer: This product also smells freaking amazing!

AnimeStarGalaxy101: Every night before I go to bed I plop my hair in a scarf that is 100% Silk. I only do this with dry hair and this is only for sleeping. The only time I plop my hair with a cotton T-shirt is after the shower and I keep it up for around 30 minutes. Is it okay to plop hair every day for bed as long as the hair is dry? Congratulations on your engagement by the way!

lauryn shiana: The textbook definition of a natural beauty

- ‘ Hannah’s Horses ‘ -: Anyone know what my hair type is? So basically, I believe I have really thin hair. After just 20 minutes after I brush it, it becomes extremely tangled. Underneath my hair I have actual curls, and then on top I have just straight. What should I do for my hair, and what type is it?

anny Vitória: Thanks for The tips

Alanna Carlson: Thank you for the warning about it being an environment for fungi, I never thought of that!

safy dridi: Loved this video

Aaris Howton: I was like ‘no you didn’t use too much conditioner, that’s how much I use!’ and then I realized my hair is down to my ass, yours is definitely not

Rhett Munson: India batson is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen, she exudes light and happiness.

Brittany Driscoll: Do you plop when your hair is slightly damp/wet? Your hair looks mostly dried?

*********: Perhaps try plopping with a silk scarf to allow more ventilation and allow the canopy to dry easier

diana Bonilla: I love your wavys are you between the 2c and 2b? Do you still use flexi rods?

evahairnyc: Serious hair goals

anny Vitória: Amazing ❤

Cynthia Harris: It looks great

It's me Eveylnn: Can you give us a routine of creams or washes you and your mother use. Thank you

Melodi D: I'd love for you to try the routine of manes by mell :)

amry galaxy: My issue with plopping is that if i try to use gel on wet hair and have it sit overnight my hair does not dry well and the gel kind of obsorbs into my hair so i cant scrunch it out :/anyone have suggestions?

Jac C.: Omg I recently figured out how to plop GAME CHANGER !

Janelle Marina: Love this video!!!! Curious, when do you comb your hair out?

Danielle Hodgson: Two videos in two days?! I love that!!

Shea Marie: My hair is too long and thick to plop for 8 hours I’ve been defusing a little after plopping for 20 minutes or longer and then doing space buns then going to bed
