Perm Rod Set On Short Hair

Hey guys welcome back to my channel and if y'all are new here with it. So does this bathroom look familiar? I am at my parents house for the day because they are doing some maintenance, something in my apartment complex, so they shut off the water for the day. So i was like i got ta wash my hair, so i came to my parents house to wash my hair, which i have already done and i am going to be. It'S been a little minute since i've done a perm rod set. So i'm going to be doing that today. You guys know that i always blow dry, my hair before i do my prime rod set, because i have found that i get the best results that way. So i'm gon na go ahead and do that now and take you guys along on the whole process, i'm so excited it is valentine's day this weekend. So you know i got a couple things planned so trying to get real cute. You know what i'm saying. Also, don't forget to subscribe if you have not already so you can get all the notifications all of them, i'm just going to do the blow drying process here and then i will be taking you all back to the crib. So we can do the perm rod set. I just put it in these little felicia plaits, so i'm going to go ahead and get started with the blow drying process. I'M going to try and use this comb attachment. I never use a comb attachment, but i want to see if it does anything and if not, i can always go back and use my brush, how i normally do it. So i always like to go in with my it's a 10 because she attended whatever i'm just kidding, but i do go in with my miracle leave in and i spread a little bit of this in and then i also go in with my chi silk infusion And i just mix both of these together and put it in my hair beforehand. Oh you know what i brought my hair products to my parents house and guess which one i forgot my heat protected all right. Well, we're just gon na hope and pray for the best here. People you know just just need you to hold me down. I got y'all. I got you okay, it did something i think i'm still gon na go in with my brush great. So i'm going to go ahead and just come back when i am just about done, because this might take me another, maybe 30 minutes, so we'll be right back it's the next day. We are about to start with the perm writing process. What time is it? So, let's just say it's 10 45 now so we'll see how long it takes um for me to perm rod my entire head. I have my bag of perm rods here and i have my eco styler, because this is what i typically use to do. My do my perm rods, i'm gon na start with this piece. What i typically like to do is just put most of the gel towards the end of my hair, and then i will slowly work it up to the top. I really won't put gel like in this area here, because, especially when it comes to the back, because i do want it to be more of an elongated curl as opposed to a really tight stuck to my scalp kind of curl. What i do is i start at the bottom. I wrap my hair around like so, and then i hold it as i roll it up once you get here and just close it in this actually shouldn't take too long, because my hair is much shorter than the last time. I did this so hopefully it won't be too bad, but we'll see yeah. This might take maybe less than an hour. I'M thinking. I know some people like to start from like the top and kind of just roll roll down. I like to start from the bottom and roll up. It'S just my method, all right, so we're done with the first row, smoothing it along moving it along here. I thought this was going to take like two hours, yeah, hopefully by 11 46, we'll be we'll, be wrapping it up here. I'M also recording a reel for instagram with this hairstyle. So if you guys are interested in checking that out, i think it's real cute. It'S a little throwback action. I mean everything i do is like a throwback, but this one for sure all my 90s babies stand up y'all, so i had posted to my instagram story a couple days ago. What do you do if you're out on a date with somebody and at one point during the night, you get a whiff up their breath, and you know this kind of thing right. What is the next move like? What do y'all do so? I had asked my followers: what do they do and most people just said you know i'd finish up the day. You know, and that would just be the last date basically and i don't know what i would do and that's just it like all of my friends who know me. They know that oral care is like top priority for me, like i, i i don't play that it's to the point where, if one of my friends tells me like they're going on a date or like they haven't, met this person before they're going to meet some Guy, okay, make sure he brushes his tongue. You know that that's my first piece of advice before anything else like make sure he has a job make sure he you know, isn't a liar, no, no make sure he brushes his tongue and then find out everything else. I don't know i'm just so like ugh when it comes to bad breath, because it's just there's a lot of people out there who don't brush their teeth at night, who don't floss, and it's like. I just can't i like i actually just cannot. I won't even be able to fall asleep if i haven't brushed my teeth at night like it just would not happen for me. I'D just be up just up feeling like something's missing. You know, i don't know, what would you guys do if you're out on a date and you get a whiff of homeboy or homegirl's breath, and it's like what is the next move, because i mean would y'all even do a second date? Would y'all want to chance? It and hope that it's better on the second day, like what my nose is like so hypersensitive too, so it's like i'm gon na smell it, even if you're not close to me, i'm gon na smell it. You know what i'm saying like somebody had responded and said: oh just offer them like get a piece of gum and then offer them a piece as well, but then i'm like nah cause what, if they don't take it. What if they don't take the gum, then you're still you're still stuck back at square one. You are you know, god the things that go through my head. I hope that these dry before i go to sleep tonight, because you all saw last time i tried to go to sleep with these things and then i couldn't do it so we're like halfway done. I think right. How long has it been? It'S only been 10 minutes. I was talking about two hours girl how many more days till christmas, i'm ready for the holidays. Again, i am ready for the holidays. What i might do is just take these out tonight before i go to sleep and let them drop like let the curls drop a little bit now drop that drop no drop, now drop, breathe in ah yeah, but just let the curls drop a little bit so That when i separate them tomorrow, um they won't be super super tight. You know what i mean they will have dropped a little bit. I am all finished with my perm rods. I'M going to go ahead and let these dry for the day and then i will be taking them out this evening. Hopefully if they are dry so we'll check back in this evening, it is about midnight right now. I am going to go ahead and just take out all of the rods i started. Picking up, i started taking out the ones in the back first and then now, i'm taking out the all the ones along the perimeter so that i could sleep tonight, because y'all already knew how this thing go. It'S like impossible to sleep with these things in so and they're, not that, like shrunken up, i thought they were gon na, be like really really tiny they've been in for what 12 hours, because i did them at like 10 30 this morning, and it's like midnight Now so literally been in my head all day and yes, we ran errands with them. In no shame in my game, if they're not dry, we are not playing that. I do not play that. Surely temple is in the building. Okay, so i'm just taking these out. So i can put my satin cap on tonight along the perimeter i'm going to leave these, because this is kind of where i want the floof, not the floof, but yeah man. I want these curls to be nice and nice and defined so i'm going to leave the ones at the top and yeah that's it. We will be back to start with the separating process. All right, y'all the face is facing it's doing its thug thistle. So i'm going to start um with the separating process. Take this off! It'S a little warm in here just a little bit and then i just separate. But when you separate the curls, you want to make sure that you're curling them back the same way that they were going initially so yeah. There are sometimes where i genuinely will get sad at the fact that i was not of age during the 90s to be able to enjoy it like. There are points in time where i just sit down and i'm like dang. If i was born in the 70s, that means i would have been like of age to actually like party in the 90s. You know what i mean that just would have been everything i could have met tupac, his fine self it just man ah and granted. I was born in 94, so technically i was still born in the 90s, but i mean i couldn't enjoy it. You know what i'm saying like i just ha. I thought this was gon na actually look much shorter when i took the rods out, and surprisingly, we have. We got some inches a couple of inches on here. So when i'm done with this, i will typically put some hairspray just to make sure that the curls aren't going to start acting out and frizzing up, but um we'll see we'll see it is raining today. So i'm like! Oh, oh! No, i do not know. We are just about done. It'S getting very much mushroom, it's giving very much toad. It'S toad. The mushroom, um yeah, we're gon na do a little something some here to give her some shape, because i feel like feel like she. Ain'T got much shape going on we're gon na spruce. Her up, maybe add some hairspray and do something. I'M gon na pick it out a little bit. I'M going to go ahead and add some hairspray just to kind of hold the curls in place. Whoa got a little spray happy there. Oh, this is a really cute perm rod set she's. Definitely giving should i turn around y'all want to see the back. I feel like y'all always want to see the back. Ah, i don't know what she's looking like. I hope i separated all of them, but this is what we have my first perm rod set of 2022 okay, and that is it.
