Hey everyone!

So this perm rod set on my blown out 4C hair didn’t really turn out exactly how I’d hope but it wasn’t a complete fail either so I guess I’m really indifferent on it.

Either way I used a lot of gray perm rods (I didn’t count but they come in packs of 10 at the BSS and depending on your hair length and thickness I’d suggest having at least 60-75 to play around with), Carols Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey Shine Pomade, Texture My Way Stretch & Set Styling Mousse.

Okay, so what's the deal youtube, this is your girl, ariel simone, and i am back with a video and, as i just mentioned, it is october 3rd. So i am wearing some pink to commemorate the day. Okay, so shout out to no limit chronicles, okay and i'm actually going to be doing a perm rod set. So you see this whole little setup over here i will be using um the aunt jackie's line of curl maintenance that right there and i'll be using the don't shrink, flaxseed elongating, curling gel, and then i have all of these perm rods, because i don't exactly know Which size i want to use right now, um, i i'm leaning towards the pink, but i don't think i'll have enough pink, so probably pink and orange, not sure, but you know we'll get to that when we get to that so right now, my hair is in Bantu knots i did wash it so especially wash and then i blow dried it, and then i put it in bantu knots and i started taking them down already, as you can see here, and i kind of liked what was going on so i wanted to take Them down on camera, so let's finish all right, so this is what it's looking like currently, so i'm gon na try to finesse a little style all right, so this is makeshift a little something something just from the bantu knot out that i did so. I really sort of kind of want my hair to be like this, but with the actual curl. So that's why i'm going to be using these perm rods. So yeah i'm going to part my hair into four different sections, because i kind of want there to be like a little bang here and then the rest of it just curly or whatever. So i'm going to do four different sections and then i'm going to come back and show you exactly what i'm going to put on my hair and start to roll it all right. So i just combed out my hair. So now it is looking all africious or whatever, and i am going to section on my hair. So i really want this to be like a little. You know a little bang part or whatnot. So i'm going to section my hair off okay, so i have my hair sectioned off into three sections, but i'm still going to take it like a little by little. So i have my two back parts and then my front part, and then it's gon na be like a little side section too. So i'm gon na make this look a little bit cuter all right. So, as you can see, i have already started doing my hair. I did this back side um and a little bit of the front over here, so i was having a bit of technical difficulties um. I have a lot of hurting rods and a lot of different sizes and the products and the primerages were not doing what i need them to do. So i ended up going with a smaller perm i feel like, and this is just me and i didn't even do my full head yet because i was just like i don't want to deal with it tomorrow. I can already imagine how it's going to be, but um both of these products, the flaxseed gel and the defining curl. They just made my hair too wet like i feel like i'm, not starting from like a wet state or anything i wanted it. You know elongated and blow-dried, so it was just doing too much for me. I feel like it was way too puffy. I didn't like that, so i was like scratch that so i started using um, so this is like a little sample size, but this is carol's daughter, mimosa, hair, honey, it's a hairdresser, so it's a pomade! So i'm using this on my scalp, but then i'm also coating my hair with it not a lot. So i'm not saturating my hair, but just putting a little bit on my hair and then i'm also using the texture. My way, keep it curly um stretch instead styling most because yeah mousse it just. I could put a lot less of this and even though my hair obviously is going to shrink up a little bit. I just feel like this is working a little bit better. For me again, i did trial and error on my own camera and this was going to be a girl, so i have this and this that i'm using currently, so i'm going to finish my hair, i'm going to do the front, so you guys can see exactly What i'm doing then i'll do this side, and then i'm over here i know my face is probably glistening and glowing. I just wiped it off, but it is hot. So i need to turn the fan on yeah so bear with me, okay, um. Before i turn the panel, i'm going to at least show you guys what i do so. The first thing i do is i section off my hair and i do fairly small sections. Okay, so that's the section put the rest of my hair back away, and this is the section that i have so i'm going to take my carol's daughter, hair pomade, and then i'm going to put that on my scalp. So it's kind of like oil in my scalp and then i'm going to take just a little bit and i'm going to put it on my strands focusing on my ends. Then i'm going to use my unicoils taking just a tad bit of this, and then i only put it on from the middle down, so i don't even put it on my whole hair. You can already see it's starting to. You know curl up and everything and again i'm using smaller rods. So i'm going to take these gray rods and start using those and from my base, i'm going to take two strands and then i'm going to twist my hair about five times. Okay, i twisted it like six times. I'M gon na take a ride and then start and then i don't just wrap around, like i twist my hand and then go around, so i'm twisting and then going around twisting and then that's what that's looking like. So basically i did this to the rest of my head and i really want to spare you guys having to watch all that so i'll. Let this play for a few more seconds and then we'll get to the end of it. Alright, so i am done - and this is what everything is looking like - i am going to hope that all of these stay in overnight yeah, i'm hoping they stay in overnight, and i hope that my hair comes out somewhat of a curl or something i don't know, And then i'm hoping that it also lasts the entire day, at least but anyway, i'm gon na um wrap up my hair and then i'm gon na go to sleep tonight and i'll. Take these down tomorrow. So i'll come back and show you the takedown process, and hopefully it's not a fail if it doesn't fail. It'S probably just been looked above, but hopefully it's like some cute curls so until tomorrow night all right. What'S up it's not the morning, so i'm going to take my hair down. It should be dry because i didn't really start on wet hair and i didn't put too much product on my hair. So, let's get into this, take down um i'm going to be using oil on my hands. This is my cousin's oil. It is just hair scalp oil by kayla's cosmetics and then once i'm all finished, taking down my perm rods, i'm going to pick out my roots with this nice little bake so and y'all. I look like a genie, so excuse me, but i can't just sleep with one thing on my head: okay, okay, looking promising, none of you came out right, so getting my oil all right, so i have all of my perm rods out and now i need to Style this i'm out here, looking like the black shirley temple, so uh yeah, i'm going to separate the curls and then take it apart and see what it looks like. So this is like the final look. It'S really small um. I don't think it's a complete fail. I may need to go um like do my edges, a little bit and kind of part it and do something to it, but for right now i think it looks pretty decent. So this is a perm rod set on blown out hair um yeah. So if you like please like comment and subscribe, leave something below, let me know how i did did i do great. Not so great. Should i use different products like whatever you want to say. Let me know and i'll be back with another video you
