Hey guys, my name is jazz. Welcome to my channel. Thank you for tuning in and, if you haven't noticed, i got a haircut if you've been following me for a while. Now i had long hair. It was like mid back length, and that was for the wedding and i was just over. It needed a change, and you know what this is it and when i wake up, it looks a little crazy. But you know what it's a new style and i love feeling new. So i'm going to show you how i weighed and crimped my hair and let's get into it okay. So last night i did wash my hair shampooed it and i use this hair mask by vanilla, really good, getting your hair ready for the heat so make sure you guys use that and then so after i wash my hair deep conditioned it detangled it. I add some of this restricting spray mask from vanilla, nutric, hair, just spray spray spray and then comb it again with a wide tooth comb, and i let my hair air dry. So i'm preparing my hair for the heat that i'm about to put on so, first and foremost, just brushing it getting rid of all the tangles and my hair and what i love with my hair: being shorter, there's less tangles. So that makes my life easier and i feel like i've, had less breakage, there's less hair, getting pulled out when i brush or comb my hair. So it's been nice we're going to start off with dry shampoo, i'm using sebastian dry clean only. I will have all my hair products that are from amazon in my amazon storefront and then all the finola products. I do have a coupon code and that's jazz ray. I will add that and everything else in the description, so just spraying dry shampoo at the base of my hair. So what the dry shampoo is going to do is give you that texture, instead of like slick flat, clean hair, if you're not going for that style, you want it more, you know live up in there. You need some texture powder. You need some dry shampoo and notice, i'm only putting it at the base. Okay, rubbing it in okay and for this hairstyle i'm going to do a center part mind you. I do have a cowlick right here, so sometimes it does its own thing and sometimes it listens so i'll. Let you know what it does today center part and just have a little scrunchie, i'm gon na start with the bottom, so just wrapping it up right there and it's for me: it's actually hardest to do the bottom, because it's shorter there. So i have that. I have my cute little pink crimper, so for me, i like to crimp it with this side on the top side, and i like to do it that way, because i can see where the bevel is where i can place the hair. So in the bottom of the back i will say i don't care that much about it because it's hidden so there you go. I have that and i'm just pulling it out and adding it and so the thicker, the hair you have, you might have to leave it a little longer, the more fine your hair is. It doesn't have to be on that long. So that's okay for me, because it's at the bottom, it doesn't have to be perfect. It gets hit, be careful with your ear. Okay, so i am using it at 210c, which is, i think, 410 fahrenheit and then 180. I looked it up. It was like. Oh 356., so i could possibly do it at the 180, but you know what i'm in a little rush right now. So with the 4 10 things just move on a little bit faster and if you have the patience and the time you've got the lower heat. So just parting, it like that tying my hair and i start from the back and then move forward so getting as close to the root as i can and then seeing where the bevel is. That'S where i dip it again and make a match. So that's why i like to crimp it with this side on the top, so i can see where the dip is, and you know what, with this short hair, i feel like super youthful and i love long hair on myself. I love long hair on everyone, but there's just something about cutting your hair short that you just feel like. Who is that who is she like i'm new and then all your hairstyles that you already do with long hair when you do it on short hair? You just feel like well, this looks different, but i love it. It'S fun just trying new hairstyles. Of course, hair always grows back and that's the best part about it. You can try so many hairstyles and it's always gon na grow back like you're gon na. Do it again, you can cut it again, you can do it different again, like don't feel like you have to rock the same hairstyle from like middle school forever like there's something so what's the word, i'm looking for it's like living like it's not invigorating. What is a word? What'S the word? So if you do notice, this is my hair straight, and this is a side crimped. You will get some shrinkage, of course, because it's beveled it's bringing it up back on this side, i'm gon na part it another fyi. Also, if you do skinnier sections and then longer hold time, that's the deeper the wave. If you do thicker sections and then also shorter hold time, it's going to be less less weighty um. It just depends what look you're going for the hell, and you know what i know. A lot of people are scared to cut their hair short because they can't do much with it, but there's a whole door opens up of hairstyles. You can do with short hair because with long hair, yes, you can do so many things, but short hair. You can play with it and just do different kinds of styles. So don't be scared to cut your hair short, and you see this how this like came out. That'S okay! If it's too short, it's fine! It'S gon na blend in once, everything's all done, so you can see in the back what it looks like and right now. I have some face framing so i'm gon na leave that out and do that last and i'm just going from side to side just to make it even okay. My arm gets tired if you do have long hair and you do wave or crimp your hair. You know that your arm gets tired, but when you have short hair and your arm gets tired, i need to go work out so getting as close as you can to the root. That'S going to give you as much shape because the further you go out from the root it's going to be flat at the top of your root and then it's going to shape. So if you get close to the root, that's when it'll you know start moving or whatever, but the further you go. Then it's going to be flatter. So, just taking some horizontal sections, i think the sections are an inch or inch or so um wide and we're almost done baby. That is the best part of having short hair like this is barely taking any time and with my long hair. When i would do this, i would literally dread it because i would just sit there and just be like for each section and the sections go all the way down here. So it's like it took a lot of effort this not so much and so the closer. I get to the top. That'S when i try to perfect it a little bit better because that's what's going to be seen whatever was done down here. That'S whatever! No one really sees that, but when you get to the top, that's when you want it to look the best like this. This was a good one. You see the laundry holds it on and it you see it definitely moves. So i'm going to do a shorter. A smaller section like that, because it's at the top, so we want the top to look the best, because that's what's seen and i'm gon na leave it just a little bit longer just so. The wave really takes its place when it's this much left, i would say, that's like the frail ends, is like maybe like three inches. I still try to put it in the waiver, see and it's okay. If you grab some of the already crimped hair and re-crimp it like it's, okay, it's all gon na blend good, it's so funny because i'm like pink, pink, pink - and i did do that intentionally. So it's very pink up in here so towards the top thinner sections leave them a little longer, so the wave is there. Yes, you see this side just hits different. I don't know: that's i'm just better at this side and that's common. Is that an old song stuck in my head? It'S pretty center-ish, okay! This is what matters the very top smaller smaller sections close to the root leave it in just like a tad longer. I'M gon na work out crimper from amazon super affordable. I will link all my amazon finds in the description below so make sure you guys go check that out and then you can shop everything right there in that link. Yes, okay, you see when you take your time on the very top ones it does it's it does what you want it to do. It gives what you want, what it gives. What do they say on the internet, it's giving what it's supposed to gave. I don't know whatever the people say on the internet can't keep up with the trends it's giving what it's supposed to gave. I don't even sound like a sentence, but i see people put that on the internet and it's giving it's giving it's gave it's. I don't know it gave what it's supposed to give. Let me stay still before i mess this up. Yes, yes and then so after this i'm gon na do my face framing the only time i wouldn't recommend doing is like doing the front is, if you have like um straight bangs like straight across here, because you know it will shrivel. So if your bangs are up here and you try to crimp them, they're gon na go up here so just just know, i warned you, and also it kind of depends on what kind of haircut you have. So if someone has like an a line, if someone has a bob, if someone has a blunt cut, they're all going to look a little different, it just depends on the haircut. You have because that's basically the shape. I don't really have like layers, but i have some texture down here, so you can see from the side the pieces that are just a smidge higher than the bottom. Now, let's move on to the base framing i instead of doing this whole thing forward. You still want to do everything to the side, because, wherever you crimp it that's where it's going to live and lay, and you don't want it just being like you know so to the side we go. You see my cowlick that the hair grows that way and it just wants to go wherever she wants to go, and it's sometimes it's better to just let it let it go where it wants to go because you're, just gon na be pissed like fighting your hair. All day trying to make it stay in the place, it's like i'm not gon na stay there, so let it go where it wants to go. Sometimes, if it's giving you too much trouble, let it go another horizontal section: okay, i'm gon na do this in two, because the front is important. Okay, we're on our last piece. This is her. Yes, okay, turn your hater, your curler, your waiver off so from here. I know it looks a little crazy. What you want to do is kind of shake it up a little bit just shake it up a little bit, so it just wakes them up a little bit all right right now. It looks a little crazy. I just finished everything: what's gon na make it not look like. I got electrocuted hairspray, so this style is a textured style, but instead of it looking like super crazy frizzy, we need hairspray and we need some serum. So i'm just using the sebastian reshaper humidity resistant, stronghold, hairspray i'll link that in my amazon, storefront so spraying and lifting spray lift you want to make sure you get everything not just on top and then don't get it on your face. You can even go to the side like this. It'S right side, spray, okay and you can see that the crimps are coming together. It'S not as frizzy. Looking now from here, i have the nutricare serum by vanilla. Don'T forget my coupon code, i'll link that silky smells incredible. One pump goes a long way, and this i just like to use it on the bottom, so just of pushing up on the bottom, where our hair needs. The most love is the bottom, because it's the oldest okay, the front so cute. So, okay, yes, okay! Okay! Yes! Now, if these little hairs up top bottom, you can always just spray and then just use your hands ever so gently to push them down some. It'S like one of those like messy but put together, looks like like textured messy, but it doesn't look sloppy. It looks clean all right. I hope you guys really enjoy this video. I hope it helps you when styling your hair and also, i will add everything from amazon in the description. So this crimper super affordable, really cute on there. All the products that aren't finola will be in the amazon, storefront and finola. I do have my coupon code, so when you go on their website put in jazz ray and then you will get a discount, don't forget to like, don't forget to subscribe and hit the bell comment. If you have any questions, i'm here to help you - and i hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your day -
