Half Up Top Knot For Short Hair

Okay, first of all, before we get started with this tutorial, I just want to say that there's construction going on right across the street. So it's loud and I apologize that's all you can hear this whole time, but I wanted to film today I'm trying to film as much as I can the next few days. Actually, okay, so to start off this kind of fun, bun, hair style. I just have straight hair right now: it's freshly washed, so I did put some texture spray in it to just give it a little bit of um. I really like this hairstyle for kind of second day hair or just dirty hair. It works for clean hair tube. I just in saying I think it works especially well for dirty hair. So first thing I'm going to do is just pull up some of this hair. Okay, something that I pay attention to, because I don't part my hair on this side. So it's usually a little bit like it's, not perfect, but on this side I've part my hair here, so it sometimes looks a little too straight and perfect. So I will just pull a little bit of hairs from over here. It doesn't have to be a lot just something to break up the harsh line, and then I kind of like to look at the side, since I do have sort of an asymmetrical look happening here, make sure that these are kind of the same okay. So now we've got our hair here to do our fun with so all I do, is I pull it back. You can see, I have it pulled kind of tight and I'm going to start twisting and I've got it all twisted. I'M just going to wrap it around like that and I'm going to leave some of these hairs out. If you wrap it all the way around and then put your elastic on, it might not hold all of your hair, but I find I leave a little tail. It usually gets all of it held in there, so I don't have a little clear elastic. I know these things are little and kind of hard to trust them, but for me they hold my hair pretty well every time I wear this. So there we go okay, so it doesn't look perfect. Yet I'm going to show you what we're going to do to fix it in a minute. First, what I like to do is kind of hold onto my bun and start pulling out some of these hairs, because I just want to poof it up a little bit and I think that's good enough now, for this book kind of you can twist it different Ways you can see what I like to do is grab a bobby, pin and pin my bun. Whichever way I think it looks best, so I've got it twisted where I like it, and I'm just going to pin it in place, so it will stay. Okay and you're really never going to see that pin in there it's perfectly hidden. Next thing I want to do is start loosening up the button a little bit, so I just start pulling some of this apart. Sometimes I get a little rough with it kind of move around like that, and sometimes when I do this, I might have to repin it and that's alright. Okay, so I'm kind of feeling like these hairs poking up are just a little too much. So I have a second elastic here and I'm just going to put that around the bun to see if I can hold them down, so that kind of got them under control. Now we just have these little ones, which there's not much you can do about. Having a little bit of that, so if you don't like it, then you may not be able to do this with short hair, but I think it's cute. Okay, I'm just getting a little bit of volume over here to the sides of my hair. Obviously, don't have to do that, but I like the way it looks alright guys there is here's your fun bun. I hope it was everything that you hoped it would be, because I've had several requests for this and it's super easy, nothing really to it. But I do think it's fun and especially because we're seeing all these, ladies with long hair wearing cute bugs like this, but we can do it too. So, as always, thank you so much for watching.
