My mom used to use that on me when I was in dance because we had to have our hair curled and I had natural curly hair like yours so I would have to straighten it and then curl it with a curling iron and my mom always used heat protectant but..my hair is extremely damaged. Kayleigh McGaw: Pro tip: To get better results, ESPECIALLY with the ends, lead with a fine tooth comb while keeping tension as much as possible. It's a little tricky to get used to holding the comb while holding tension with the same hand but is TOTALLY worth the practice!! p.s. Pro tip I'm meaning a tip from a literal pro cosmetologist As well as I also have rather course/textured (though not nearly AS textured/curly as yours) and dense hair and I LOVE hot brushes for a variety of personal and professional level opinions therefore I rarely ever use my flat iron anymore I love them so much!!

Kandi Hinshaw: I have a hair straightening brush the only problem I have is that when I use mine I don't get like real close up to my scalp like you can with a flat iron. So part of my hair does get fully straightened and the other part kind of doesn't. But also it is a little safer cuz you're less likely to burn yourself with it then you are with a straightening iron. But also be careful using it cuz you get your ear caught up in it cuz I did that once at one point in time and burn the top of my ear. Especially if your ears slightly stick out a bit. And mine kind of do
