Hey guys welcome back I'm today, I'm doing a tutorial for how I style my hair. This is such a requested, video, which is crazy to me because I'm like so not a hair person at all. This is literally all I do to my hair and you'll see that it's pretty simple and easy, and anybody can do it and honestly, if you guys caught me walking down the street, my hair would probably be in a messy bun and emphasis on the word messy. All I use is my cheese straightener. You can use anything you have at home. Any straightener you have doesn't have to be Chi, you're, just probably nicer than mine. I don't care, so don't rub it in um and yeah. You can use a curling wand, curling iron, whatever it's actually really easy to get. This look so um and it works for long hair, short, hair, mine's about medium length now with a lot of layers - and this is just how I like to style, my hair. So you guys want to know how I achieved it. Keep watching nice. I mean see in a minute: okay, I'm going to start off by using one of these little clippies um. You want to make sure your hair is brushed, and then I section it off. So take a section about this big and I'm just going to twist it so essentially I'm just curling my hair using my flat iron, and it doesn't matter if they young. You know, look perfect, because the whole idea is that we want it to not look perfect. So just do that a bunch of times and just do the same to the other side and notice that I'm turning my straightener away from my face when I curl it. Okay and now on that sections done, and I don't like to run my fingers to it. Yet I like to really let them set and cool down before I do that, so I wait till the very end, so I'm gon na suction another part of my hair. Now, if you thinner, hair you'll have to do less sections. Obviously my hair is super thick. So I have to do quite a lot and right about now. You should start to look um weird and that's normal, so moving on to another section, okay. So now I'm on my last leg and I part my hair to the side - this parts going to be a lot quicker than this side, so um besides actually done for the most part a couple. So what I do is I just kind of split this. In half throw it on to the other side and then crawl this, if you're a middle part ER. You probably won't need to do that now, flip that hair back over my hair so thick, you can like hear it being like caught in the straightener. It'S one! Okay: okay, now it's fully curled and comes the fun part, and now what I'm going to do is I'm just going to slowly start to like rough it up and as I'm doing, that, I'm kind of running my fingers through the waves and breaking them up, because I don't like that curled. Look that, like you can like see where the curling iron was. I hate that pain Ryan's. You have like high school prom, um yeah, so just kind of rough. It up look at that! Ah, cute, okay, so if you have hairspray, if you especially if you have straight hair or thin hair, you want to spray it with hairspray um. I have really thick hair and it's naturally wavy, so it will stay curly. So I don't even own hairspray. It'S that weird um, but I'm gon na put some of this in the roots. As I hate this like clean feeling, I like it feel real, dirty and texturize. This is the by big sexy hair and it's called powder play and it's a oh, my was just cracked, it is a texturizing powder, so I kind of go in and like pull back, some hair, give it a little sprinkle and then I kind of mess it Up and I'm going to do that all around then I'm going to take one of my favorite texturizers and this is by bubble and bubble and it's the BB texture, hair undressing cream. Just going to put oh excuse me and just kind of a undress it like it says and, and I'm done and I'm ready for whatever I'm doing today. So this is how I do my hair um. Mindy Mac: Love it. Looks GREAT on you. I have thick blonde hair, similar texture, but I had my stylist cut it in a regular only slighly tapered lob (which is long bob for those who don't know). I had him cut it this way because with any real layers my naturally wavy hair is hard to manage if I want my hair straight and full. I'm gonna try this because I like to change things up. The one thing about layered hair is I could make it wavy without a hot tool.. just a few products. The texturing powder is a must. Thanks for this awesome tutorial. I hope I can do it with no layers. :)

Khanjari Joshi: Joanna, I have to tell you, You ROCK!!!! This is such a nice and easy video.... I NAILED IT! I have pretty thick hair too and I started to curl them in the sections (just like you have shown) and after all the hair was done, about 15 minutes later I thought that the waves were starting to fall out hence used some hair spray (I had not used it right after curling my hair as I am not a big fan of hair spray) but after that, the curls stayed for the whole day and a little bit next day too... For the ladies whose curls are falling out or not curling right, make sure you are taking thinner stripes of hair or your flat iron heat is set just a tad bit higher than normal (when you straighten your hair). I had read about this trick on Pinterest. Good luck! One again, thank you Joanna!
