Mold& Style! New Pixie-Ish Molding Mousse& Styling With A Pencil Flat Iron| Short Hair Tutorial

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, my name is roxy for those of you who are new, as you guys can see by the title and the thumbnail i'm going to be wrapping my hair today and i'm going to be styling it using the pencil flat iron. I'M also extra excited because i'm trying a new mousse, i'm trying the pixie-ish molding mousse. So if you guys are part of the short hair community - and you follow like the major show, hair stylist um that are promoting themselves on instagram, then you've probably already seen this or try this yourself so yeah, i'm gon na have the opportunity to try it today. So i relaxed my hair about a week ago, so it's one week, post relaxer and i did get a cut on monday. So it was about about one week ago, yeah so one one week ago. So i'm gon na start by wrapping my hair before my hair gets too dry. Do okay, so my hair is uh molded now yeah, my first impressions of the mousse. The first thing i did was smell: it um it has a really mild smell. So it's not too pungent it's not too strong. It'S very it's pretty neutral mild. It smells clean. This is a really good mousse and the way how i determine whether i like a mousse or not is the consistency of the mousse and how it makes my hair feel as i'm running it as i'm combing, the mousse through my hair. So it gives it like a nice slip. The mousse is not like dissolving as soon as you put it in so it's like holding the hair together. Yes, so this is a good one. We are adding pixie-ish molding moves to our favorite mousses, my video yeah. You see that you see how like everything is like staying together. The mousse is just holding everything together like this is the kind of mousse that you would use. If you don't have a fresh relaxer, but you still need a good wrap yeah. So i'm gon na wrap my hair using the rapid junior strips and i'm gon na leave all the products that i'm using in the description box below in case you're interested okay. So i'm gon na go under the dryer for about 30 minutes uh or until my hair is completely dry. I'M gon na come back and we're gon na style using the pencil flat iron. Okay, my hair is dry now um. I want you guys to really take a look. Do you guys see the sheen i'm like? Is it just me, or is this giving like a really nice sheen? So that is definitely a plus and i'm gon na attribute that to the mousse, because i didn't put any other product in before wrapping my hair. So i'm gon na be styling my hair using the red pencil flat iron. I'Ve done a video on this before maybe like two to three years ago, when i initially got it um. Since then, i've learned how to use it. You know like i've got. I'Ve got more practice with using this flat iron. So, with the pencil flat iron, you get a really. You get a really detailed look detailed style because it's a lot skinnier of course. So the colors are a lot tighter. It looks more defined, more curled like there's a lot more movement and everything. So that's what i love about this flat iron, i'm going to be using the tresemme thermal creations, flat iron spray. As my heat protector today, i have been using this a lot lately. Sometimes i use like a serum the cheese silk infusion. Sometimes i use the bio silk serum, but lately i've been using this um. It gives me like a nice shine, sheen um. It smells really good. It smells so good honestly smells like a body spray um like a sweet body spray. So those are some pluses to that, so i'm being very generous with it, because this flat iron is very hot and it does it needs as much protection as it can get. Do hmm do all right. So i pretty much curled everything to the best of my ability um. I have no idea what the back back looks like, because i know they just tilt my head all the way to the left or all the way to the right and curl, and then i just feel for like down the middle, but my hair's cut pretty low In the back, so there isn't like much to curl, but i'm gon na show you guys the back. Hopefully it's focused, so the back looks like this. I don't leave it like this. I just take like my tail comb and i kind of comb it through a little bit to kind of soften it out a bit, so it doesn't look so like stiff and i'm just playing with the hair at the top here, just to kind of break it. Apart, i don't want it to look like like a roller set. Okay. So it's looking something like this and in my opinion it looks different every time um. It'S never like, like a set look um, especially as the top gets longer the style changes when i use the pencil flat iron, but i just love how it looks so detailed. Um, it has a lot of movement, it looks soft. I love that and if i'm going out - and i don't want to like sweat out my hair - i will just you know, like um - put it into a style that i like like set it. You know play with it and if i like it just like this in order to freeze it i'll put some holding spray yeah so put some holding spray to kind of set it into place, but i'm not going to do anything else right now, i'm just going To put on some makeup and pull this look together get cute because you guys know i got to take some pictures for instagram and also for my earring business curio bold. So i'm going to come back with the finished. Look! Okay guys. So this is the finished. Look, i did go ahead and i added some sheen on this little spray, laminate that i have here, but of course you can use any oil sheet that you want. I feel like did that just gives it like an extra pop um. The lashes i'm wearing today are from danny j beauty. I picked up a pair of those yesterday um, so i'm gon na leave that in the description box below, if you are loving them as much as i am, i did a little neutral makeup. Look. I think this is neutral like not glittery or anything like that, and i use my morphe palette. I was so excited to try this new molding mousse and i'm happy that i did i've been following brandi lucas for a long time. She offers she's a professional stylist.
