Box Braids On Super Short Natural Hair 2 Months Post Big Chop

I shaved off my natural hair 2 months ago, so right now it is super short! It is possible to box braid short hair, just so long as the braids are small enough.

What'S good guests, I don't work but another video if you're new here please subscribe, I post every Tuesday and Saturday and make sure toilet notification bell. So you cannotified every time. Maybe two weeks ago, a person on my Instagram asking people over they thought my hair was too short to break. Bearing in mind I was two months post, big top, so my hair was and still is very short, as you would have expected, it was pretty divided. I think it wasn't maybe just about more than fifty percent said that they thought my hair was long enough to braid, I'm most happy for like either you're mad. Unless you want your hair to like fall out when you're walking and don't do it just wait. But me being me once an idea comes into my head: I've got to do it so, the next day I went and bought some braiding hair. I started the adventure on a Wednesday. Ok, it was Wednesday I attempted to braid it the day before to see. If it worked and most times it was stained, it just had to make sure that the braids were small enough. So on Wednesday I like started doing it at 8 p.m. don't ask me why? Because do other things throughout the day, so at 8 p.m. and I started braiding, my hair start at the back as you do working my way up. They got to like 3:00 a.m. the next morning and that hasn't even reached. Oh wait. I won't even hear you guys I was still down there. I was like this was a bad idea. So meanwhile, I'm Pam close-knit work on Instagram and you guys know what's happening, keeping you up-to-date on my own stuff, because, obviously it all begun there then the next day I slide around 11 cause. I woke up around 10. I think so I spider at 11. So I pretty much watched a whole of season 1 or Netflix or business. If I was just sitting here, it's turn one episode by the way you guys just 1680s do my hair. So I ah me just thinking about it. It gives me all kind of little jitters right, so my fingers were numb. My hands were numb. My index fingers were dead, oh my god, they were dead. I managed to do majority of it, but I had like this whole section left. When I tell you stay out going out so I said, let me just do the front bit here, so I did a couple of lines at the front and I still have this whole patch of hair left to do so that it to be innovative. A little bit innovative and I've put my hair in a bun, and I've been rocking a button pretty much. Every day, like I sleep with my hair in a bun, I shower love my hair in a bun my day to day, when I thought about this the first day that I've actually had it down, because I'm brave enough guys it's a brave up, a burger, and It'S all completed, so I put it in a button that I had a break head wrap and I put the head wrap around and you couldn't even see that my hair was not finished. So I was rocking a button with the hidden afro for the next few days until I'm not doing it little by little, just like an hour or two here or there try to get it done it eventually. I finished it. I think I finished it on my place. Sunday yeah pick a fish on a Sunday or Monday - oh my god, but it took me days days and days at least three hours or more to do this hairstyle. As you can see, it's really really thin because there's no other way for me to do it without it being this thin and for the most part I stayed in I've had many a couple at the back come out and a few that I've redone on the Indian side of my hair on my hairline, because if the leather shorts part is I had a fade when I shaved my hair, so this part of my hair is a lot longer than the rest. So the back like the the nape area, is where most of the time I'm getting bits of hair coming out, but at my map, because it's not like the majority, I'm not walking around and loads - are just dropping out. So in this video I'm going to show you how to manage to braid up a whole of my super short to month, post Big Top hair and up hold on to the braids to reach my waist. So I'll cut the hair into three equal parts. As you can see, the ends are really really blunt, so I need to further the hair to make it a bit more natural and not so sharp at the end. In order to do this, you need to hold the top of the hair in one hand and pull little sections one by one upwards to separate them. I then do it on both sides of the air and then comb it all out to make sure all the not-so-good. This leaves you with a more natural ending to the air. I spritz my hair a little bit with water, because I know that if I put too much, my hair will become curly, making it a lot harder to braid. I then use some olive oil all across my hair when you have short hair, the smaller the section there better. So here I've separated a section of hair divide it into two one of the halves being bigger than the other. This is because, when I fold them over and one of them will be used for the two sections of the braid and the other, one will be used for just one now. I don't always use this technique when breathing. In fact, the only time I do is when I'm doing it on really short hair. I find that it's a lot more secure and holds a lot tighter than any other method. I'Ve used before. If you already know how to came low wall cornrows - and this will be a lot easier for you, if you don't know how to you, can click on that video on the top right corner, which will help you learn how to camera, which will then make braiding A lot easier and more secure, so the higher up I go on my head, the more realized that I need to make it longer. Otherwise, it's not going to reach where I want it to. In order to do that, when I fold the two pieces of hair together and make sure one section on each side is shorter than the other. Naturally, when braiding it will mean that one of the sections ends up being shorter in order to fix this. I just add on more from the other sections, just like this after I finished my hair, I just literally dip this in some hot water to seal the ends and that's it. I could have rocked it without seeing the end, but the ends were a bit fluffy. I wasn't really a fan of that so when I steal them the kind of just smooth it out a bit hope you enjoy this video. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments down below and I'll see you guys next time, peace, love,

Verneka Hodo: Big chop December 2. I regret it a lot. Tried to braid my hair last night, and I was so frustrated. Now that I see your video, I have confidence I can do it. Our hair is literally the same length. Thank you for the inspiration !!

Jade R: Just chopped my hair off a couple of months ago and have been dying to braid it!! This gave me so much confidence to do it!!

Brittany Michelle: Omg I know the pain you’ve probably felt. I’m 2 months in as well & just did box braids on my hair & it took FOREVER but I’m about to do them again

Nykicia Jefferson: I’m 2 months post big chop and everyone keeps telling me my hair is too short. I too had a fade when I big chopped so I am beyond inspired rn. I just need the time and patience to do it on my own.

Onya Bee: Thank you so much for the detail OMG. Currently in the process of doing my really short twa this just gave me hope and confirmation to keep going. Probably another 3 days left on it

SherylM: You did amazing job, so beautiful!! I'm about 4 months post-big chop and I'm about to try this on my hair, may I know how long your braids lasted? In terms of weeks maybe? Thanks sooo much! :)

Introvert in Wonderland: Looks so great in the end. Pure dedication and hard work paid off! One day I may try it.. Braided my own hair a good ten years ago at uni and I remember the process being soo long

Nikki B: Thank you for sharing. I am also 2 months post big chop. I’ve been considering putting my own braids in, as I’ve always done my daughter’s braid, but not my own. You’ve given me more confidence to do it. Our hair length is basically the same. Thx again!!!

Dinny M: The lady who braided my TWA used this method and my braids are so secure. I was so worried about the pain and braids falling off but amazingly, they're so secure and will last a good 2 months.

Chakila Williams: It looks so good! And neat! And the wrap is such a cute idea!

luckytube22 Theoneandonly: I know the feeling. Going through this with the back of my head right now. You're awesome.

Monique Davis: I'm literally sitting in my living room taking out a bout 20 braids I started yesterday on my twa....my hair length is the same as yours but there's no way I can finish braiding tonight for work tomorrow so I'll have to revisit. Thanks for the inspiration

Amma Mama: You did a great and neat job.

Kori Brinkley: Awww the box braids look so super cute!! XOXO

Jen !: I’m so doing this !!! Awesome video girlll

JazzClassof010: I been watching videos all morning on braiding with twa hair. This is the one that sold me. Your hair is shorter than mine and I’m gonna try this starting tonight. Going to get the hair in a bit. Hope all goes well

SC 215: Omg. This is my story too. My hair is still in a bun and under the bun is a small afro puff. It took me days. I felt like it was a bad idea but i kept going. Im done and the small afro puff still remains. You did a good job..

Amber Lema: You did an awesome job!

D Shine Fam: You just gave me so much hope cause I’m doing the chop and want to do braids I love it

S Chin: I love this ! It has given me so much hope . Just need to plan my 30 hours

jenny penny: How I wish you could really do this to my short hair. Ever since I shaved it all of it has grown to about your length but everywhere I go they say it's too short. They should really watch this

Michelle George: You did an amazing job! How long did you keep them in for?

ShiKleoHair: My hair is bout this length and i want braids so bad!! Lol this just made me decide even more to go head and braid it up while I'm growing it back out.

Solo One: Amazing time for me to try this

Orian Jamieson: LOVE IT!!!

Lahoo Lahoo: You did a wonderful job.

rotg20: Girl you crazy, but you're also crazy good. Amazing job.

Mythic Peyote: I really regret cutting off my dreads, it’s been 10 months and I’ve only grown back 4 inches of hair it’s honestly torture !

Jennifer O'Neal: Girl my hat is off to you! My hair is short too but I can't do this:(

Carol Cook: Wow, great job. I don't have the patience. Looks lovely :)

Singer Tamii: I’ve decided am doing my hair tomorrow I wasn’t sure if I should because of the length but now am confident to do it without a doubt

Fee Fee: Six months post bald, going to try this again. I like the way you split up the days. I don't normally do that. Try to get it done in two days. Which now I see isn't the way to go. I'll give myself a week. To start and finish them.

Michele Leathers: Girrrrrl.. that would be me. Mad that it would take that long, but since we can't go nowhere or do anything, I think it's time for me to bite the bullet and get to braiding. You did really good!

Sheila Maith: Absolutely Amazing...You are Awesome. Thank you

celestecharise125: Very talented. Amazing work and your hair is gaining length underneath.thanks for sharing.

lilmommalady76: Sis, next tutorial we need to see from you is how to do the head scarf wrap at 2:53 Thanks

Peacebaby 770: Well done!

deva190: You look beautiful with short hair, too. Not everyone does.

Ola Adeoye: U r gifted. I now can do it seeing how possible u made it tx

Krystle McGilvery: Great video lady!

TheDIALECT by Taylah Martin: I want to do this so bad but I’m crazy tenderheaded

spiritualaysh 🦋: Wow this literally the length of my hair omg omg

Jae Bea Blessings: AaaMazingly good job!

Jk M: beautifully done

Benvlyn Canshell: Question! Any hair that isn't pre feathered is usually rough when used. The one you used isn't pre feathered, so I wanna know if u trimmed the hair to make it neater?

kim cothron: Did any slide out and how long did you keep them in? My hair is about this length and even when it was longer, I still had major slippage. I think on this short, even if i touch a braid, it will just slide out since not much of my own hair in each braid

SOUR SIXTEEN: You are so ADORABLE ❤ I will try this thank you. ❤

Miss joys: I had to subscribe I big chop my hair on 30 November and my hair is exactly like yours now I have to try this out

Oromiyyaa WBO: Hi what is that hair dividing and braiding method called?? My method was to use one piece and fold it in the middle as two pieces that braid. But now my hair is too short so I’m trying to figure out your method, and find a video with a close up with the technique. Thank you for your video your hair looks amazing before and after ^.^

Matselane Maphasa: Wow who would have thought that so small hair can be braided... Good jod u r genius indeed

Craving_Artist_Tee: Thanks for your video , inspirational

Trinity Williams: I love this but I would seriously shave the braids off when it came time to take it out

tjohnsizzle8213: Were the braids heavy on your head? That's an issue I face often. I really want braids this small

Unspoken Words: I’m about to tackle this right now

Jennifer S: Do you part your natural hair in 3 sections?

angel telp sorrentino: this is how i do when I braid my hair. however since I went natural a couple of years ago I havent braided my hair. A couple of mnths ago I cut my hair into a taperd cut and dyed it. I have been thinking about braiding it but it took forever when I had a lot of hair so now Im scared that it will take even longer. My friends use to make fun of me because I would have to take vacation because it would take so long.

Tuu Lee: Grip of a goddess cause I can’t do this in my sleep. I shaved my hair 3 months ago and it’s slight bit longer than yours and I still can’t grip help me lmao

Nightingale A.: HELL NAHH! That’s sooo much, like I ain’t got that amount of time on my hands seeing as my mom calls me every 10mins to do something in the kitchen.it won’t have taken me 30 hrs,it would’ve been a week and then some.that looks great, like a professional hair dresser did it

Sharlene Ogbonna: How many inches do you think the shortest part of your hair was?
